difference between r33 and r33 m spec
john replied to john's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
thanks for that, do you know if the brakinging package has been the same throughout the whole r33 gtst and gts production? -
hey guys/girls, i did a search on previous threads but gave up. My question is what is the difference between say a 93/94 r33 and a 96/97 series 2 r33 m-spec other than the different body kit. all answers appreciated

INASNT you are a tool, i have read all your posts on this subject and you have no f****n idea what your talking about. You talk sh**. plain and simple. the reason cops pull over skylines is because they have probably pulled you over and now think all skyline drives are as f***ed as you. pull your head in mate, posting comments like "the only good cop is a dead cop" is a waste on space and we shouldnt have to read your sh** if thats all you have to say. one day your going to really need those guys in blue, possibly even to save your life.........but hey, who needs them.......right??

technically you need a permit for ANY alteration to the factory specification of the vehicle:eek: , as for the cat, is there anyone out there who has the cat casing in the exhaust without anything inside it, ive heard of a few wrx owners who have done this with good results

would KLO be the colour they refer to as titanium which is the lighter silver on the latter r33's evl r33 i think i saw you cruise down albany hwy last sat, car looked and sounded sweet

if you get flashed and you know you weren't speeding then whats the big deal, if you were speeding and you get caught then take it on the chin and keep going.

im with steve, the guy will still have his day in court and the insurance companies will always be the only winners.

some people may say that $175 for a day at waneroo is expensive but i think it is relativly cheap considering safety to other people and other cars including your own, the ability to push your car alot harder than you could on the road WITHOUT blue light worries or the worry of slamming into a pole whenever you get the line wrong. also you can get some driving skills that can help you become a better driver.....and the fact it ia awesome fun:burnout:

and whether or not you pass the attitude test..remember always be:D never:shake:

i know radar jammers are illegal....big big fine....ive also heard a rumour that they are looking at legislation to ban radar detectors as well....the detectors are good for the multinavas but most cops now have hand held laser which makes the detector useless

for $400 the fun may be short lived as soon police radios are going to be digitally encripted......could cause some havok for certain car cruises

wed nights sound good, i still have driven a propper quater mile

what sux is that if those kind of people will just smash your window whether there is something inside or for the off chance of 20cents being left in the ash tray, even if they could see in and see nothing they would probably run a screw driver down the side of your car anyway...their scum...................i hate them all:mad:

cheers, i think the next time the 5000 comes up ill give it a go
-
i think i will be going legal, to each their own but for me i think being able to see what is happening around me at night is very important, especially when you do country driving and there are no road lights to help you see whats at 90 degrees. Also having my insurance voided in a crash would be very nasty, cheers for all the replys

i take it your talking form experience

well summers almst here again and this time round i want tints. any recommendations on style and places to go as i know there are some dodgy operators out there. my car is the titanium colour if that makes a difference to the type of tint.

perth exhaust centre vic park, i got my stainless steel 3" turbo back with high flow cat and s/steel muffler of my choice for $1200 i recall. If you cant they even make the dump pipe just for that tiny extra bit of flow. theres an article in the perth street mag vol9 no4 where they did that plus same system as mine to an s15 giving 15 extra kw at wheels

thats why i went there, ill try again for another day and book by PHONE, everyone human i guess

how hard is it to service your r33 yourself? what do you have to change/check other than spark plugs, oil, coolant and brake fluid
-
just if your thinking about going through c-red dont book your appointment over the net. i made that mistake, i booked mine in for a service for today about a week ago (thought id let some performance guys look at it after going to normal places for about a year) i got an email confirming that its ok for 7/10/02, i rock up at 9am and speak to the mechanic who says he had no record that i was booked in and had started work on a different car- hence i had to drive back home. it realy put me out as i had booked the day off work, planned the whole day around not having the car and had put other people out by getting them to follow me to c-red to give me a lift home etc all for nothing.

if you know who they are then speak to the parents, at the first tinyest sign of attitude from the parents(usually means they dont give a f*** what their kid does and would defend them just because they dont like being told they are wrong), give a formal complaint to police, once you have done that you can go for criminal compensation, once you have done that you can sue civilly, throw everything you can at the little sh**s legally because as you said they are young and if you did what everyone of us in your situation feels like doing the onus will come back on you very harshly. The system is leanient on young and first time offenders thats why you have to hit them in the hip pocket. if one of them is 18 then BONUS!!! remember deep breaths

ive had the same rac trouble, my 96 r33 has morphed into a 92 r32 gtr. ive called and am waiting for my letter. wonder what the premium would be on one of the new ford xr6 turbos, thos things are going to push masive kw on the after market.
