U might get a shack series 1 high kilometer manual one for 34k. TRD versions go for almost 39k. If i could get one for 30k id buy it!!!! I got one with 60,000, log books, completely bog standard. There is not one single mod on this car. I bought the wheels seperately. The car has had absolutely nothing whatsoever put on it.

i had no idea on actually how hard these cars go. For a complete standard car, i seriously cant beleive how quick this thing is, its funny. I look back and think dammn, i usedd to think stock skylines,200sx etc are fairly quick standard - this is another league. On the run it would keep up with my old skyline. 1st gear winds out hard but the ETCS overides it from getting too tail happy. 2nd gear pulls like a freight train and it doesnt run out of puff. Very very comfortable inside and it feels quite nimble for its size. Chasers 1480kg kerb weight is identical to the 32 GTR, with the 33 and 34 GTR being over 100 kgs more. Its got a torsen LSD and is happy to step out with the foot down. I cant stop laughing in disbelief when I drive it!!! Im real happy with it, wont be driving it as much though, i got it also for my Dad to drive to work and back!! Have a look at the latest Hi performance imports - Cred tunings Jeff Ash has a black JZX100. 286 rwkw. stock auto. Had a chat to him and he said its almost uncontrollable with wheelspin right through 3rd gear. And on a stock auto with no shift kit, no upgrades etc. The PowerFC for this car has a specific Auto function where u can adjust line pressure etc. Stock turbo should comfortably pull 250 rwkw. But im going straight for the HKS 2835 Pro S. Should comfortably get 300 rwkw.

Keep HICAS in there. Lots of people say get rid of it etc. My last 2 skylines, my 32 had it locked, my 33 had it. To be honest, it wasnt that much of a issue. People who know me know that I drifted the 33 quite a bit and Hicas never posed a problem.

Yeah, its not tho wen its a full manualised shift and nice big stally. On the street and strip, its easy to get good times with a auto box. Get the turbo on boost off the line. Also, every single car ive owned......about 15 of them..... have all been manual. Getting an auto is something different, its a sport toyota auto not a commodore slush box.

cheers Adz nate - the Auto is a not a normal tiptronic style, but u shift the gate sideways from D and u can go thru the gears like a tiptronic. Its got a Merc style gate. Also for weight, the best thing about them is that there relatively light. 1460 kgs. Good weight balance. very popular drift car in Japan. Wudnt turn it into a drifter though, bit too rare as yet.

Nate: I wudnt have minded one of those, but its very hard to get compliance for it due to tighter emission laws etc, hence theres none in australia as far as I know. I dont get it Scathing? 2BNVS : Thats all well and good in your situation, im happy for you, however there are quite a few people out that that I even know who dont appreciate it like that. I believe that letting my kids earn for there first car gives them a good grounding. Its not about being a tight arse. At the end of the day, you pretty much get what you put in. Even earning 5 bucks an hour, you put in a hard days work and go home happy knowing that it went towards something. This is not a question of who is wrong or right, its your opinion. Just the same as asking would you let your kids drink etc.

450 rwhp shud do the trick. 1JZ are known for phenomenal torque. The one ive got is the VVTi version which makes 378 nm @ 2400 rpm!

Mine were well off and didnt buy me a car. It a load of crap. Its like anything in life, if its free, its taken for granted. i know many people on here will swear that its not the case. It is. I dont agree that kids shud be given or only allowed a shitbox as a first car. How are they gonna learn when they jump from a 323 into a 400 HP GTS-T???? Most kids these days overlook some of the other performance cars out there that were perfect to start off. I had a starion turbo, it was Quite fast, RWD, and taught me the basics of how cars react to different situations. I dont think I cud have ever asked for a better car to start off in. Back in the day.... pre skyline/180sx it was pretty cool, went hard etc. Sadly, these sort of cars are mostly forgotten, with young impressionable schoolkids with the skyline/SS or nothing attitude.

Ive actually thought about this quite a bit and the simple fact is NO. Since I was 15 1/2 I bought my first car, with the money I earned from working hard. First car only cost me 3 grand, but I worked my ass off for it. I have since had over 15 cars and ive always wished my parents bought me a car. Now in Hindsight, I look back and appreciate what they did. They could have easily bought me a car, but because I bought it with my hard earned cash, I appreciated it more, I respected and looked after it even more. It taught me to not take things for granted. I always let them know Im glad they didnt buy me a car!
