  1. and how do I go about doing this diagnostic test?
  2. Julzy thanks for the offer might have to take u up on that, where are you located? Question though, are Series I and II air flow meters the same? I know S IIs ones have a pink label and S I has a green label. Any differences?
  3. It was happening before I changed the plugs so I dont really know, its a mysterious problem. Anyone else whos had similar problems please let me know. Regards Kim
  4. Hi guys Ive had the Fuel pump for the last 8 months now, so absolutely nothing has changed on the car. Paul that would be much appreciated, I will give the stock ECU a crack to see if its the problem, if not then ill get it on the Consult and have a look. I have a feeling it is the Air flow meter.
  5. Huh? Pull what off?
  6. Yeah? New fuel reg, do I get it from Nissan and have you had a similar problem? Regards Kim
  7. Guys, Ive read about 50 pages of stalling problems on this Forum and ive found no help at all. My cars running very rough and idles like a drag car. When foot is down, car powers fine, doesnt lose any power drives normally. Car is a Series II R33. I have, changed fuel filter, spark plugs, checked coils, cleaned out Air flow meter/plug but still it does this. This happend out of the blue, my fuel tank was on empty at the time. I have a brand new Walbro fuel pump. I have a Remapped ECU. The funny thing is, after I did this, for a while the car Idled fine, especially after I gave it a booting. Then out of the blue it would idle bad. Boot it again, and same story. Today while driving it, it was constantly idling bad. Like a drag car. Its not the same noise when a cylinder has dropped, but just like a lumpy cam and at times like rotational idle. Im really stressed out over this. Does anyone have any suggestions. Could anyone possibly give me a hand? Could the AFM or Crank angle sensor be the culprits? What about O2 sensor, how can I get this checked. Regards Kim
  8. how many meshs does the standard RB25 AFM have? Ive only got one on the filter side. Is there supposed to be two?
  9. Ive tried dissconnecting the coil plugs on at a time and all that does is drop that cylinder and make it sound like a WRX. Its just got a bad idle, sometimes like Rotational Idle, sometimes just lumpy. I havent tried the cleaning the AAC valve yet, you think this is causing the problem?
  10. OK, I cleaned AFM, new spark plugs, new fuel filter. Nothing, still does it, however When i was hammering it It would fix itself sometimes. It still is just as powerful and goes hard. Its intermittent. I dont know what to do, is it a air leak, coilpacks, vac leak its doing my bloody head in.
  11. man Ive stopped going to calder on friday nights. Its a shit track, run by bogans, costs an arm and a leg, it seriously reminds me of a big rubbish tip out near the airport...... do I have to go on. Other states, I know in particular, Perth and Sydneys drag strips are like 5 star hotels compared to calder. If you wanna do something about it, simple, dont go and race. A huge proportion of my customers who have drag cars dont even sight calder. Heathcote may be 3 hours away, but its a better atmosphere and people enjoy going there.
  12. Thorough Dissapointment I must say. Crowds were weak, consisted of heaps of bogans shouting out get a V8 (funny, at a Nissan/datsun day too) track was not prepped earlier in the day. Biggest Waste of $20 bucks - I can remmeber last years one at heathcote was 500 times better. Small crowd, heat etc. Kier Wilsons/Rajabs/Brecianis cars were the only decent things I seen going.
  13. id come, but since i work every day, sat and sun are the only days to sleep in after a late late night (morning) out.
  14. MSC have a Dyno Dynamics dyno and much much more parking available. I rekon the shootout should be held here, its very central.
  15. HEy A dyno day at MSC would be great - im there almost every week - Steve and Joe and top blokes and really know what they are doing - Ive had my car on there dyno there before. LTHLRB do I know you? Im Kim with the White SII R33 - Steve n Joe are customers of mine, I work for Wurth australia.
  16. As topic states chasing one of these. Regards Kim
  17. Yeah it seems to most likely be the AFM, my housemates car did the same and he soaked the sensor in contact cleaner with the plug and it idled beautifully again.
  18. I dont have a powerFC I have a Remapped ECU. I will try the AFM. Which part of the AFM do you spray? The plug? Regards Kim
  19. Today out of the blue, my car started idling funny, Ive never had this happen before on any of my other skylines, but it kinda sounded like I had rotational idle/lumpy cam. It also mysteriously brings the revs up high when they get really low down. On power, the car goes hard and seems fine. I made sure all the coilpacks were in properly, however I have a feeling it could be spark plugs. But if it were spark plugs, wudnt the car drive like a bucket when i put the foot down? I checked the vac lines and it seemd fine as well. Please help guys.
  20. That yellow one has pushed in excess of 600 rwkw.
  21. Hey man Yes it Is ive got 2 buyers pending the sale of the car, whoever comes up with the goods first get the car. Cheap price for a good car, anyone whos seen this car, and I know quite a few ppl have on this board, know this car is worth much more than im asking for.
  22. hahhaha Yeah Im constantly at Perf Jap annoying him, I cant wait till he gets his own shop, he is one of the best and most thorough mechanics I know. And I work in a industry where Im surrounded by over 60 different mechanics and different shops all day.
  23. My mate Barry used to work there, he is a toyota/1jz/2jz guru. CnD are a good shop, speak to Cong, he is very knowledgeable when it comes to Toyotas and Nissans.
  24. V8 skyline for sure you can see the twin exhaust. I dont think its the Perth one though, I think the perth one looks better than that - that was full on boat spec.
  25. I seen a Protective services ute at st kilda pier last night, it was a white VU with a monstrosity VS Maloo Hoop spoiler painted in a fluro yellow with fluro yellow VS clubby Wheels. I nearly threw up.
