guys I would go for a Nice HKS or Trust or Apexi turbo ,but the MAIN thing that worries me is E P A!! If I was back in Perth now, itd be getting HKS T04Z treatment, 50mm external gate, Motec, big fuel system, injectors and possibly even forged internals. If I do this here, I will be raped by police again, I learnt my lesson on modified cars here, and Im defeinetly not gonna be pulling off shit evry time I get a EPA, we modify our cars to enjoy them, not to be looking over ur shoulder every time for a cop or worrying about someone dobbing you into the EPA. I want simple stock looking high flow, bit more power and a newer reliable turbo.

Fs: Car Audio Package! (cheap!!)

This is great value guys, to get a new system is more than double usually! Let me know! Kim -
Hey guys, I need a new turbo so Im selling off some of my gear. I bought this system BRAND NEW last year and paid close to 900 dollars for it.Was in my R32 and sounded absolutely great, strong bass and as always JVC make a ripper Headunit. Selling as a package only! Systems can be very costly, so this is great value. I had the package in my Toyota Camry, and the look on peoples faces were astonishing, they could not beleive how such a simple setup was so effective - Ive heard plenty of twin sub installs that sound weak compared to this setup. JVC KD-405 MP3/WMA/CA Player (2004 model). Pic - http://trial-auto.ru/www/imgs/avtosound/jv...d-g405_w458.jpg Kenwood 350W 2 Channel Amplfier (2004 model)- Set up to power the subwoofer alone, this delivers astonishing power to the Woofer. Pioneer TSW-383 12 Inch Subwoofer. 600 watt rating. This pumps out deep deeep bass and has the chequerplate line design! Tonk Custom car audio box (sealed enclosure) carpeted, Tonk is a leading Audio shop In WA that specialises in custom installs, this is a acoustically designed and medium sized enclosure, which is a attractive design, not just a angular box, and has the amplifier mounted to the side. This has a lot of effect on how the sub sounds - and those who have heard it will agree! Selling the lot, Firm $475. Melbounre buyers only, will PERSONALLY DELIVER!

I have it set on 10, but usually, its gets a initial spike to 13 psi and drops, It somehow responds very quickly. Its either now GT2530 or 2540 turbo. Anyone got one for sale or know of one for or coming up for sale, please let me know. Regards Kim
-
Yeah, the Typhoons were initially problematic, but have seemed to iron out the problems. They are not a bad car, and I must say I havent seen too many at all, I think a lot of potential buyers were scared off.
-
Yeah mite go for it but im after something like a GT2530 or even a High flow at the right price, can anyone point me in the right direction. At the moment a High flow wud be good. Regards Kim

I blew my stock turbo up so im after better unit. Any low mount turbo setup that will suit the T3 flange will do. Please let me know regards Kim

Ohh finally I have experienced 33 stock turbo shitness. On a cruise today, grabbed for 3rd gear and bannnnnnnnnng. turbo sounds like a jet, really bad. I think the bearings ****ed up big time, at least it didnt spit out the exhaust wheel! Ohh well - anyone got any suggestions or have a upgrade for sale! Im looking for low mount, stock manifold internal gated replacement.

Never Have I read a thread with so much crap on it! I woudnt even bother give my opinion of it. Two totally different cars in every aspect, and hearing guys giving comparisons of who got munched by who,or whos building the fastest, or wanking on about how much potential a LS2 has, some of it is bloody utter bullshit/ridiculous. Maybe you should start up a FVP typhoon VS 6 liter HSV clubby - itd be much better. The Commodores a great car, they have come a long way in terms of performance, but in every other aspect - you cant go past the european and Japanese equivelants. Ohh yeah, and Id get myself a nice black 6 speed typhoon as a Family car any day!!!!

Any 34 owner got this?
Starionturbo replied to E_Lu-SHuN's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Sounds like a lot of these 4 door family cars came with some options for the lazy. auto wipers and ligths on a 1985 Passage? Bizzare. Dont tell me you got the 6 stack tape deck too -

Hey Man Its Kim - hows it going - you wudnt be intrested in swapping it for my 33 would you . -
About high flows, I was looking into getting one myself, A well known company here in Melb called Roto-master - is a turbocharger shop and are garrett distrubuters, they do all the turbos for the big performance shops ie. Rajab, bresciani, Promaz, etc. The guy I spoke to, Michael, Told me a R33 turbo wud cost about 1300 to hiflow, but he showed me a example of how small the exhaust housings are, and that it isnt a worthwile upgrade because the turbos are not that strong. He said however If I insisted, putting a VG30 exhaust housing on it wud be considerably better, but still money wise it wasnt the best. He showed me a setup that he regularly makes for customers, its based on a Garrett GT30 ballbearing but with his own internals and some aftermarket Rear housing, but It is Internal wastegated and comfortably flows 450 hp. Bolt on turbo. He said hes done a couple of R33 that are pushing 270 rwkw + with these. I was interested in it because its a low mount turbocharger which is perfect for hiding it from the police, yet it can produce bigger power than the common 2530/2540 uprgade. Cost was somethin like $2200 with oil/water adaptors.
-
90 percent of R33s I have seen recently are Series 1.5. There are variations, but really ONLY 1995 models can claim to be series 1.5 Even 1993 series ones came with optional Airbag, AND PASSENGER AIRBAG (it was a very expensive option and not common in 1993 cars hence you dont see many). Series 2 had a fair few differences, most relevent to me are the suspension and turbo. The seires 2 suspension is much stiffer than Series 1 (as standard) and the turbo uses a Nylon front wheel (like a R34 GTT).

Performance jap specialists in campbellfield - there my close freinds and my good mate is the main mechanic there - they do excellent stuff, probably one of the only importers that dont "rip" people off and they do have a few panels - I will ask them for u Garreth. Otherwise, in that area in campbellfield, I go and see all the wreckers around there (part of my job)and they have a LOT of GTR panels - campbellfield is like a Jap import parts heaven, u can find almost ANYTHING there, but you gotta be careful cos most of them will try to go to town on you and rip you off - best thing to do is tell them what u wanna spend, go a bit lower than that -and they shud give u the price. But you would almost defeintly find panels - ive seen PLENTY of rear GTR cuts and fronts and 1000s of doors. Getting it in red tho? Dont like ur chances so youd have to get it sprayed. When im there during the week, I can ask around, so just PM me ur mobile or somethin so I can tell you. Regards Kim

Ohh shit. Here I was thinking Im gonna go back to Perth to get away from Melbounres speed cameras. Obviously not. Those ones mounted in the cars are the most evil. They Not only can get u from the back, but from the front as well (i got done here) and they are very successful. Possibly a bit easier to pick in Perth, but these ****ers pick up a fortune by putting the cars in quiet suburban sidestreets and places where guys constantly speed. Plus now, every time you see a camry, falcon, 4WD or commodore parked on the side of the road u have to slow. Here in Melb, ive seen XDs, Corollas, Hyundais, Landcruisers -you name it - with cameras mounted in them. Im just waiting now for perth to introduce bigger fines and more points, bring the P plater age up to 18, give the P platers 5 demerit points and all the other utter bullshit that is in effect in Victoria.

I used a Bell 900 for quite a while and found it to be worthwile. Every day when I went to work from Mandurah to Bibra lake - it was like a mine field of speed cameras/police. It used to warn me in adequate time and I found it usefull. If your an idiot driver who thinks that they can speed all the time and be saved, forget about it. The radar actually made me more aware of speeding and when it beeped it reminded me to slow down. Was very impressed. Im just annoyed that they are illegal in melbounre. If we had radar detectors here, the vic goverment wouldnt make any revenue.

i hate ebay. Anyone else wanna sell a small autometer boost gauge? Regards Kim
