  2. hi, after reading through this posts, i'm considering getting a set of rim - 245wide rubber with 18x8.5" 25mm offset front , and 285wide with 18x9.5" 29mm offset. I have R33GTS and sitting about 345mm from center to the guard. Can someone please confirm this is possible without guard work? Thanks

  4. finally i have found the problem. my injector lag time is too low. i have increase the lag time and the hunting is pretty much gone!! interesting that it was fine with stock ignition without the HKS twin power unit.
  5. after all the above changes, the idle still hunts. i have noticed the voltage drops to 13.3-13.7V when the idle starts to hunt. I don't know whether it is related or not. will borrow my mate's battery and try it out later this week. Any other idea guys?
  6. Rr84 wa _ 1200, 1300, 700 & 800. Hks is trigger from ecu. It is suppose to plug and play. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. yes. it's already matched, but have also tried to rise/low the idle above/below the PFC and it was worst to go higher than PFC. I will clean the ACC today sometime and set the timing for lower cell to 15 from 17 (as suggested by DVS32R)and see how it go.

  9. high cell - 15 lower cell - 17 previously i had the lower cell 20 and it's fine with stock coil pack harness.
  10. sorry, i meant stock coil pack harness. have checked TPS-0.45v, clean the AFM, all the hoses, the only thing i haven't clean is idle air control valve. I have also tried richen the AFR to 12.5:1 and reduce mytiming by 2 degrees and lower myidle rpm to 700rpm, which reduce the hunting by 70%, now only a little hunting which still not smooth. Thanks for all the input guys.
  11. I have checked a few times for leaks and seemed to be ok... i will check again over the weekend. I have also plugged back the stock harness last week and it seems to be idling ok but not smooth. Was thinking the hks unit but it seems to run fine to redline with 1.1mm plug gap at 23psi.
  12. what did you mean by move around? i have rise the rpm - didn't work, but when lowering to 650-700rpm it seem to be better but still hunting. i have even tried to rise to 1000rpm and the hunting seem to be worst. Thanks
  13. have richen it out to 12.5 to 13.5:1 seem to help a little but still hunting. I also noticed that the hunting starting when the engine operate at 75degree and above.
  14. was your idle hunting or just rough? mine just hunting up/down. I will play with A/F ratio to see how it goes.
  15. A/F about 14:1. on my apexi multi check, i will try to lean it out and see how it goes. ecu is Power FC. The kit was listed for R34 GTR but was told it's the same for r33 s2 gtst and as listed in HKS web site.
  16. does anyone know what cause the car to idle to hunt after installing the HKS Twin Power. Car is r33 gtst with the usual mods with new splitfire coil pack. With the twin power i can run 1.1mm plug gap and no miss at 23psi and seems to run smooth everywhere except when idling. any help would be appreciated!
  17. do you have r33 s2 coil pack harness? if so how much?
  18. yes! 0.7mm is ok but like you said you may loose a tiny bit of performance and your engine will idle/run not as smooth as with larger gaps. In your case 12psi and stock turbo, heat range of 6 and 0.8mm should work fine.

  21. Guys/girls, After a few years with GCG highflow with VG30 rear housing turbo, i have decided to upgrade the turbo, so it is up for sale. The turbo will come with HKS adjustable actuator and will bolton R32/33&34. The turbo had about 17,000km easy life as i only occasional used it in the weekends. It is in good condition and doesn't blow smoke or oil leak. It was tuned with Unigroup and had 250rwkw a 18psi max. Turbo have never been tracked or raced. Plenty of information about this turbo in the forum. $1200 ono Please PM or sms 0458221468 for query and pics Inspection welcome. Prefer to be pickup, but COD can be arranged. Thanks Dennis

  24. thanks for all you help. i have replaced the plugs with BCPR6ES. The knock counts jumped to from 8 to 23counts in the first 10 cells low rpm and low loads. The high loads knock count was 19 max. ie not the fuel problem. Since then i have got myself a datalogit and i have reduced the timing by as high as 8 degrees to see the knock count dropped to 8counts... From some of your comments in the low loads/rpm the knock count can go as high as 20... Could you please confirm?... i have read somewhere saying the the first 10 cells loads/rpm should keep the knock count less than 10... i could be wrong... My high loads have never gone pass 20 ever. once again thanks.
