hi guys & girls, does anyone know what is the different between advance and basic knock in datalogit? From what i have read basic knock is the same as from the commender and advance knock is more for Apexi software. Can someone please confirm this. Also for tuning, i should just log the basic knock instead of the advance knock? Thanks

It is normal for a r33 gtst stock turbo boost to drop off at high rpm as it reaches its limit. I've got 185rkw with the usual modes and was running 14psi but was dropping to about 11psi. Than I added exhaust cam gear and went back to the dyno and i've got close 198rkw and the boost still dropping like before ie. 14 to 11psi. So it seems like it's nothing wrong with your setup (ie boost controller) if you haven't got any cam gear fitted.

I'm in the process of getting new tyres for my rear. 255/40/17 Currently i'm running fed 595ss and i like them but starting to loose traction as my power increased. My dilemma is that i can get Toyo T1R or Toyo R88 or Federal 595rsr for roughly the same price. What would be the best tyres to go for? Would the R888 too soft and won't last as long? btw will be mainly for street use. Thanks.

I remember about 5 years ago when i installed the thermo fan and electric water pumps, the engine revs seemed to be quicker. You can actually notice the car pull harder particularly from mid to high revs. Both the fan and pump have their own controll. You can controll whatever temperature you want. The down sides are: 1. when the fan activated the alternator will kick in which may cause your engine to hunt for about 10 seconds (this will happens particularly in the traffic and hot day. 2. if the fan died, than your engine will be running to hot. (i haven't had any problem since i installed 5 years ago). . Just have to keep your eyes on the water temp.

I have just installed the front suspensions, it seems to lowered! for some reasons the rear has lowered to stock height after installed the front! I definately need wheel align as the rear wheels are sitting with zero or positive camber! would this be the cause? i have also notive the a few grooves below the spring holder/support. Are these the circlip you are talking about? Thanks

It doesn't have the ring to adjust the height! and beside the suspension was taking off another r33 and was sitting about 25mm lower than stock!

Hi, i've just a second set of coilover (Juran) and hicas lock bar. Installed both of the the same time yesterday (rear suspenion & hicas lock bar), and when finished and lower back down, the car is siiting higher than stock. The coil over was design to sit 20-25mm lower than stock. Can someone help to tell me why? Would the hicas lock bar be the cause? Note i also notice the rear suspension the eyeball, the cyclider sleeve (1 side is flush while on the other side extruded by 5mm or so) - i noticed on the stock the cylinder sleeve extruded both side. Thanks in advance!
