  2. Make sure it's positioned right, I don't know how to do it but there is a thread on here about how to set your tps, even if you put a new one on but it's in the wrong position, it still wont work properly x
  3. It was the fix I least expected! But I think the gear box on the auto ha something todo with the peer steering fluid???????????? I'd check afm AAc and tps sensors and I suppose a gear box oil change couldn't hurt! I was genuinely shocked when I topped it up and 10 mins later the car was driving like new! Let us know how you get on tomorro mate!
  4. Dude I had a transmission oil leak, I have an auto topped the oil up fixed te leak and it's been fine!
  5. my power steering becomes heavy after about 5 mins of driving, and im getting the rev drop when i stop, ive cleaned and resoldered afm, and changed the o2 sensor, ive also cleaned the aac valve which was black as the ace of spades! now im getting it but not as bad, ie its not stalling anymore! i think it could be a fuel pump earth issue, or the tps is not set correctly. ill be investigating this weekend.
  6. hi mate the fmic fit s1? and is there any piping included?
  7. well, new radiator in place took of for my 60 k trip to work with consult and the laptop plugged in. result. no temp over 82c was seen!!!! in fact when i brought the car on boost for a second or two the temp went down!!!! Check out the condition of the old radiator, the guy said as soon as i walked in. "your lucky your car has'nt blown up"

  10. mate i used a ring spanner. note mm but the other one. (im crap with metric and imperial) it was the equivalent to a 22mm well bit bigger because 22mm wouldnt fit. tiny bit of pressure and it popped undone! hope all that makes some kind of sense to ya chap!
  11. mate that cosworth is fecking awesome, my uncle had a sierra saphire cosworth when i was but a boy back in england, it felt like the fastest car in the world!!! and welcome also. my 2 cents on the wheels..... i hate 3 spokes but they go "wheely" well on the 32!

  15. will take second hand, just need to replace my front bar as its standard s1 its just horrible isn't it!. and im also after the drift/duck tail style (small) rear spoiler. don't care about colour! i can respray myself. located on the peninsula in vic!
  16. yea its something im looking at when i have some (more!) spare cash, picked up a cheap din gauge holder now just need the dials to go in it! im going to the pre meet tom night so ill keep consult running on the laptop and see what temps im getting! great news about your engine, hoping mine is the same, shes just clocked 230ks but seem to pull strong! having a timing belt/pulley/ water pump change next week, hopefully this will keep him going a few more years!
  17. WOW! did that warp the cylinder head then? iv mostly done highway driving at a set 100kmh so the airflow has been helping, but i plugged consult in at the weekend and after 3 hours of idle and a quick 5 k drive the car got up to 102c on water, i dont have an oil temp gauge but the pressure has been a bit bi polar! ive prev ran the car with the rad cap off to check for co2 coming out but there has been none, neither any milky crap anywhere! hopefully this has sorted it! ps. the bloody factory water temp gauge was sat at normal while consult told me it was over a hundred degrees. that works then.
  18. hey fellas just to let you know, dropped my car off at hastings radiators this morning, he rang me two hours later to tell me, "your radiator is seventy percent blocked and your head tank is warped" quoted me 350 to fit supply and fill new radiator. if this fixes it its shit loads cheaper than the headgasket i thought was blown! ill let you boys know. (the cars an auto so the rad is a little more expensive apparently) im gonna take some pictures of the blocked radiator ad post em up here tomorro.
