Is it possible for an australian citizen, to goto one of the massive car auctions in japan.. bid on a car, then bring that car back etc ? Do you need an auctioneers licence or anything like that? Because ide love to not only visit japan and some car places (HKS/VEILSIDE.. showrooms etc) but also come back with a cheap R33 GTR that ive chosen in person.

I want an r33 gtr in the future, maybe 34 depending on price estimating you from that data.. you could get a good r33 gtr vspec for about $30,000 AUD + importing shit so all up your looking at nearly 40K ive seen a few vspecs for mid 40s ide have to say for peace of mind.. being able to drive and see your car when you buy it.. i would rather buy it here

Me and a mate have been looking at some skylines lately, ive got a lot of friends hooked on 33s The one in question, a 95 R33 GTST manual. Basically there are 2 sounds, One is a constant clicking.. sounds like one of them electric lighters being clicked really fast.. noise is coming from the plenum .. where the throttle cable ends on that thingy with the spring.. throttle body? it sound like its under this bit though. All r33s have this noise but most are very light, this one seems a bit louder. The second noise is after it warms up a bit, we drove it for a few minutes, then stopped and browsed the engine bay... it sounds like a quite psssss like something is leaking .. i cant see or find anything though, so its got me stumped.. the sound is coming from almost exacly the same place as the clicking noise. There not major noises but but being to cautious when buying a car can save you big money in the end Ideas anyone?

Im of the opinion that AVCR isnt that hard to fit yourself its the SAFCII thats hard ide just get both and get both installed at the same time
