  1. Its sposed to be done in third, what they do is put power mode on and accelerate till it gets to 3rd then give it more throttle to hold in 3rd and rev out but most places do it in 2nd, which i dont like all that much cos hitting redline in a selected gear gets autos very hot
  2. Youll pay around 20ea for Iridium IX or a bit more for say Denso iridiums Gap to 0.8 and forget about having to change plugs for ages
  3. i thought they were sposed to be around 155psi per cylinder for a healthy engine do those el cheapo compression testers even work alright?
  4. As per title, preferably in brisbane and asap
  5. GDam! Nice car! Been awhile since ive had to look twice Got any more pics/info?
  6. I dont get chirping, and damn well i shouldnt with full handling and camber kit plus falken semi slicks from first to second does straife the tail out in a straight line if running higher boost and from standing start although after having my car tuned i took the exhaust from the frontpipe back off for some testing and gasket replacement and wow was it fast! Flooring it in 2nd going about 60, car just kicks back and powerslides for about 15m so i currently have the entire exhaust off for a revamp
  7. bumpity what happened clint?
  8. Yeh Forza is pretty sweet, i wish they had a wider range of certain models IE S15/R33 etc The realism is amazing though, change anything or upgrade anything and it makes a big difference. Ive got a 98 Silvia (As its called in the game) with about 350kw and 1056kg and it drifts every gear all gear till the end of 5th unless purposely trying to race. -I did leave stock tyres on for dorifto fun But some of the drifting you can do is amazing, and the replays are just gold with big fat black marks swaying everywhere. Also the suggested line feature is awesome to learn tracks and for people who just cant play racing games where they have to turn
  9. yeh its not real, but i like it anyways
  10. yeh get some pics up if you can where bouts you located too?
  11. got iridiums in mine, gapped myself to 0.8mm, been in there for about 12,000km now and are pretty much perfect
  12. Awesome thread, i think invaluable for alot of people on this site Could u post the parts list for the finished engine pic you uploaded and what that package would cost approx? cheers
  13. Anyone thats stupid enough to think that all car enthusiests are like those guys on aca shouldnt be making laws or tv shows affecting all car lovers. What a load of shit, showing the worst people they could find for a given subject and saying this is whats getting out of control all over australia. There are always the minority that are stupider, more dangerous and just plain dickheads in any field/hobby/subject etc when will they do a show on what REAL car lovers are like and get upto
  14. thanks for that ill find out brand new from nissan is $254 because they actually have to get someone to make one in japan and send here
  15. As title suggests, must be working and in good condition Anyone?
  16. Heya, Anyone got or know where a good condition working coil pack harness is that i could buy for r33 series 1 Zoom and most wreckers dont wanna help because it makes the rest of the engine pretty much useless cheers
  17. i got descent clear ones from QDS - QLD diesel spares
  18. new coil pack harness is $200!!
  19. whered you get that from? im hoping a new coil pack harness from nissan isnt heartattack priced  oh yeh, the leak turned out to just be the gasket from dump pipe to frontpipe, was leaking pretty bad, blew a whole section of gasket out, hence the noise was pretty loud. is a hell of alot easier and cheaper to fix than the manifold gasket!
  20. damn, nice car, exacly what im after, but not untill im finished my current car and sell it whered u get it from btw? looks so clean how many kms? mite come have a look anyways, mite motivate me to sell quicker :uhh:
  21. ahhh wheres money when u need it!!
  22. cheers for the replies, i just swapped a mates coil pack harness to use for a few days i tried to reuse the plug but it was fairly brittle/coroded and ended up cracking to pieces pretty much, so off to nissan to see if i can get new plugs, that or i call zoom/alljap and see what a 2nd hand harness is worth
  23. so u need a special tool? maybe ill just find another coil pack harness, couldnt be too much i guess
  24. ok, found a wire loose going into coil pack 1, thus explains the lumpy idle and shaking noise is still 99% sure exhaust gasket, its fairly audible just above the dump pipe, is only there on idle and light throttle guess ill be pulling half the engine apart to change it
  25. Yeh i was thinking that, but ide rather do it properly is there anyway of pulling the plugs apart to reuse them? even if i buy new ones i dont know how to get them open to solder/crimp the wires in etc guess ill check the plug properly and see if there is a code on it somewhere
