Hey guys, One of the wires going into coil pack number 1 has come out of the plug, effectively giving me 5 cylinders how the hell do i get the yellow bit of the plug out so i can rewire it into it? or where do i get a new plug/harness? And i seem to have blown my exhaust manifold gasket I know beau had this problem, whats it cost to get done, and whats the gasket price itself? ive had a great few days cheers
-
well in a bit of irony, got the car tuned, but ended up blowing the exhaust manifold gasket and a wire coming loose on my coil pack harness so i wont b there
-
Anyone? I had a good look today and im 99% sure its the gasket thats farked, its split in the bits between the manifold runners and there is some oil vapour around and on the split gasket bits. I know changing exhaust manifold to block gasket is a bitch, but whats the cost of getting it done and how much is the gasket itself?

Had the safc2 and sitc tuned today on the dyno, it made good power, 189.9kw on 10psi. No pinging or knocking during the tuning was detected. But straight after driving it i notice it sounds a little weird and idle is alot lumpier than before, it drives fine, no problems with power but taking off is a little jumpy could this be a blown or on its way exhaust or head gasket? ide be guessing exhaust gasket as i can kinda smell exhaust and when i put my head near the dump pipe/turbo, the engine sounds a bit strange, especially when revving it lightly. How do i know if its this for sure? Anyone else has this problem? And whats a new xzorst gasket worth? cheers

Put mine in myself the other day also, will post some pictures etc in the next few days when i get the camera and computer together fairly big difference, feels a little more responsive everywhere but gearchanges are where its definately heaps better. gearchange times have been cut in half if not more. i got about 5.5L out from draining and replaced with transmax z, Auto is running great now -
Ide get them but witout the circle bit pertruding after the actually socketable bit (if that makes sence) if i used these on my wheels they would stick right out my current wheel nuts are the same but smaller and fit my mags perfectly

Yeh ill be moving on soon aswell, Such a hard predicament owning a 33 GTST.. Dont really wanna go back and get a 32GTR, But dont really want a 33GTR because the looks/interior etc are pretty much the same, dont have the money for a 34gtr and 34gtt has same performance anyway. Kinda makes a late model 6sp RZ supra look nice But then, ide still choose a late model 33gtr over that ahhh! mite wait for the next godzilla or evo9, then u get it brand new
-
Does the solenoid problem occur in the r33s aswell dan? And will the shift kit stop/help the auto from slipping?
-
Got mine put on by gavin woods auto tech, pretty sure it was a gtr timing belt brand new from nissan havta check the receipt at home
-
Yeh do something to that auto or youll blow it up in no time with that power You have so much to do before the turbo as everyone has said, Sit down and really figure out how much u have to spend and then work out what u want...

Called mv the other day and made an order, just waiting for some ppl to send their valvebodies back before he can send anymore out my auto is starting to play up a little in 3rd gear, occasionally it drops down as if it was in neutral.. asked mike about it and he says its something to do with the engine or trans brake and it should be ok still, im a bit picky and like everything to be perfect  either way i have another auto sitting at my dads house ready to go in if this one breaks anyone who needs somewhere to go in brisbane for auto work.. apparently Athena Automatics are pretty good, had a mate take his auto 180 there with a blown box and with a box he supplied they changed them for $2xx ide imagine fitting a valvebody + full flush and new fluid (depending on fluid, i use full synthetic = $45 per 4L) wouldnt cost more than $100 max at an automatic specialist everyone post up how their install went and details so the rest can be informed also, has anyone actually broken their auto and have a new one put it or work done on it? -

Cant make this one, gearbox will be in pieces Will be attending soon though, i recently moved out and am itching for a good cruise

Yeh at the end of the day they would have had the rego of the car at way less than 200km/h+ and could have just called it off and waited at his house. Or at least followed a long way back. Provoking someone to speed is almost as bad as being the one speeding. What if he, police or innocent motorist had died because of the chase? The 'HOON' would be blamed, because the police were 'protecting the innocent' even though they are putting everyone on that motorway at risk. The above is alot safer for the police, the driver, and other innocent drivers on the motorway. Im 19 and can figure that out, do police even think anymore?

There is a really good article in either this months or last months autosalon.. especially the bit where a cop sends in an email He basically says that random pulling over and breathtesting is a major part of on road policing, and goes on to explain alot of other things.. is a good read for all those interested.

lol everyone bags the falkens but have never owned them themselves if your camber is in order, then the Falken RT215s will bring a big smile to your face They did to me in 245/45/17, have gone about 8000km on them, still heaps of meat left, and i have NEVER lost traction besides full throttle cornering/wet
