  1. 1068rwhp? I dont beleive it, that has to be the most powerfull rb25 in the world if thats a true figure. The headwork/internals/money needed to flow 1000rwhp out of an rb25 would be ridiculous!
  2. wow with that screamer it is going to cause a sonic boom at full load!
  3. check my gallery for the exhaust system we made from the turbo back including full on split wastegated dump pipe, you wont get an exhaust any straighter/restriction free... unless its larger than 3"
  4. Where was it built? What forged pistons are in it? Has it been started?
  5. Thats whats got me upset, i havent ever been to f1 and really wanted to hear the v10s at 17,000rpm 300km/h plus for the first time.. but now ill never get to hear it unless they bring them back Its just silly, they used v10s and that power level for ages, yeah some problems, but obviously over time there will be some with safety weather they are using a 1000hp v10 or a corolla engine. And driver safety? I never heard any of the drivers complain they were getting hurt by the v10s power, if anything, the drivers are always wanting more power. They are athletes that train specifically for the forces of racing high g high horsepower cars. Im still a fan, but a watered down fan from the v10-v8 transition thats for sure After seeing the full warm up and rev video along with renault getting the v10 to 'rev' the we are champions song after winning last year.. i will never have anything but pure love for that engine and the V8s will have to do a hell of alot to impress me now. 20,000rpm so what, rather 18,000rpm with 2 extra cylinders
  6. How was 101 with the engine building? Do they do it all themselves or source out?
  7. Mate if this goes ahead you will have a unique skyline in the thousands of other skylines in australia. Not to mention ive dreamt of doing this many times, twin gt-rs on either hks 2.8 stage 3 or complete tomei engine, running around 25psi-2bar with a 8000-9000rpm redline and all the other fruit. Tomei is easily one of the very best RB26 builders in the world, after seeing the build process they use, although similar to other builders, they do all the the little bits that make an engine really last and perform. Everything from the ground up is done properly and with the right parts AND tools. god it would be worth every single dollar when the beast roars into action at the track for the first time, or beating a busa on the freeway for the first time hehe Not to mention you have a MASSIVE scope for change when the engine is well and truely capable from the start. You could change the gt-rs later for a t51 spl 1000hp and so on btw i forgot the book, been meaning to do a post up for it cos there is some really good info in there, cost me $50 and its all in jap! Worth it though if you want to know rb26's
  8. You want someone who does the work themselves not contracting it out to everyone
  9. I got falken rt215 semislicks 245/45/17 from austyre i think it was Near the gold coast descent price, awesome tyre
  10. I have investigated alot of the complete engine scenarios, as ive been thinking about putting one in my gtst instead of buying a gtr I have a re-fresh book (all in japanese) about the rb26dett with full color and alot of pages, there is a big section on tomei and their complete engines. Ill bring it here and put some info up next time im on the net Your looking at 25-30K Mines complete is a bit more But add up the cost of getting a GOOD engine rebuilder to make you an rb28 with full hks 2.8l kit and n1 block etc
  11. Cmon sydneykid! Im waiting for a reply I know its not like you to 'retaliate' so to speak, but i think it would make for some good reading and information to hear someone who knows what they are talking about really get into the tech side of supras vs gtr To be honest i like both cars, ide choose a 33-34 GTR over any supra model, but that said, if i was not intent on track work and wanted a low drag coefficient high hp for low money freeway and dyno car ide have a supra Its quite proven and known that the GTR is king on the track, and in the end, that is a REAL measure of a car..
  12. I still love f1 but i still dont understand why they are on the v8 train now ive read a few times now that they are upto 200hp less and upto 17km/h slower on the straights, and montoya actually said the above in an interview. which really pisses me off, formula 1 is supposed to be just that.... the fastest it can possibly be now there taking steps back towards champ cars!

    Im Back

Yeh im flying to sydney first but we are going to nadi sorry Whats the rates at outrigger like? Flights through virgin are cheap as cheaps during april! I was going to check out hotels and book while im there possibly, hopefully they arent all full! Unless i can find a definate place i want to stay at, its just me and gf, so anywhere upto $250 a nite twinshare i guess. Prices are always different to those in the stupid catalogues, usually alot cheaper. So sailing exped is a good idea? What island did you goto? I was thinking staying in nadi for a night then driving and staying at some diff places along coral coast till we get to suva, spend last day or 2 in suva then fly back to nadi and home.. just one scenario From Nadi we can heli/boat to a number of islands nearby, im not sure if these are worth the time and money though? Tis hard compacting so much into 6 days, but its better than nothing
  14. Sweet I should be sorted for the next msc B)
