V35 Gt250 Electrical System

2001 to 2002 do not require programming. Only 2003 and beyond require NATS key programming. -
V35 Gt250 Electrical System
theponyremark replied to mani124's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
It could be the the fuses found in the IPDM relay box behind the battery, the 100A fuses found on the positive cable/terminal of the battery or your BCM being fried. Try checking IPDM fuses and the relays, then check the fuses on the positive cable/terminal. BCM is about $400 delivered via Amayama (plus $100 labour for Nissan Ferntree Gully to install and program the BCM to your keys). -
Servicing Your V35 - List Of Whats Needed
theponyremark replied to R6n350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
To help fellow owners of the JDM 2001-2003 Nissan Skyline V35 250GT Sedan's. These parts should be interchangeable for the coupes and higher makes of the V35 series. I was surprised that some of these parts are interchangeable with the current R35 GTR e.g. fuel lock lid actuator, tensioners, etc. I have completely DIY the following (complete with part numbers and prices that I paid in $AUD from Nissan Japan - get the parts of Amayama). To perform the timing chain replacement and all the jazz in between, you are not required to drop or remove the engine. Remove the front-end objects such as: radiator, hoses, clutch fan, air-intake, intake manifold etc. Oil Filter (Nissan Pitworks) AY100-NS004, $11.49 Cabin Filter (Denso) 01453-50930, $26.16 Spark Plug - Set of 6 (Nissan NGK) 22401-AL815, $86.76 Timing Chain Tensioner - Left/Passenger Side (Nissan)13070-EY00A, $30.67 Timing Chain Tensioner - Right/Driver's Side (Nissan)13070-JK21C, $30.71 Timing Chain Tensioner - Right/Driver's Side (Nissan) 13070-JK21B, $30.61 Cam Timing Chain Guide/Slipper (Nissan) 13085-JK20A, $12.00 Timing Chain Guide - Slack Side (Nissan) 13091-JK20A, $28.94 Timing Chain Guide - Tension Side (Nissan)13085-AL511, $5.97 Main/Front Timing Chain (Nissan) 13028-JK00A, $93.28 Cam/Camshaft Timing Chain - Set of 2 (Nissan) 13028-JK20B, $74.46 Water Pump Set - Includes 2x Coolant/Water & Oil Seals (O-Rings) (Nissan) B1010-AL50B, $68.60 Fuel Filter (Nissan) 16400-2Y505, $68.11 Fuel Pump Outlet Seal - O-Ring (Nissan)17049-4M400, $3.32 -
Hello Citizens of SAU, After learning that my rear demister/defoggers and door triggered map lights weren't working, I have concluded that the BCM was damaged and required replacing. I initially thought the difficult bit was to source a brand new BCM from Nissan Japan (like-for-like, thanks to amayama.com @ $300 AUD) and that the easy bit was the programming by the bountifulness of Melbourne automotive locksmiths. I was wrong. Not many locksmiths knew what I was talking about, and mentioning 9 out of 10 times "CONSULTII/III protocol or tool" gave locksmiths an opportunity on the phone to say "sorry, no can do". Replacing BCM in the V35 is only held in by two top tabular clips and a screw bolt on the bottom - easy as pie. Despite this, Nissan Australia (Hoppers Crossing) did not want to have anything to do with this car. Even when I mentioned that I have a brand new BCM at hand. I have a 5-digit PIN code (numeric) on a small metal bit that came with my keys when I bought the car. If it helps, my car is a 2003 Nissan Skyline V35 Sedan 250GT-"M"), complete with two factory key fobs. Also attached below is the old BCM currently in my car and the new BCM I have received this week (like-for-like). Is there anyone in Melbourne competent enough to complete this task? Cheers, Michael

2003 V35 250gt-m Sedan
theponyremark replied to theponyremark's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks scotty nm35. Thankfully for me, the BCM and combination meter are a-okay. I have found verified on the G35 forums that the V35's and G35's have an intermittent issue with the "ticker" / "buzzer" unit inside the combination meter (speedometer). Sometimes the combination meter doesn't receive "full" signal from BCM. Following the steps below, I have remediated that ticking noise to emulate a turn signal indicator relay: Turn off engine Take key out Open drivers door Put on either left or right indicator Put key back in and let it chime Turn turn key to "ON" without igniting the car At step number 6, the indicator sounds as per usual. I have also read from the G35 forums, if you reach step 6 and find that it doesn't work, while the engine is running: Put the indicator on (doesn't matter left or right) Pull-off the drivers kick-panel fuse cover Pull out the 10 Amp fuse that control the turn signal indicators (http://g35driver.com/forums/attachments/audio-video-electronics/79204d1194026302-installed-invisicord-blown-fuse-miles-reset-green-blinker-dash-lights-clock-dead-homelink-fuse.jpg) Put the 10 Amp fuse back in -

Also, everything else in the car works, except for the side indicator ticking/sound. The indicators work as per usual, with no sound. I know it's not the BCM as the indicator lights are working. The key warning chime works and also leaving the headlights on chimes. Nissan Data Scan gives me a generic U1000 "CAN" error. Any ideas? Chris Rogers? -
I recently purchased a base model V35. It's got navigation/TV and a single DIN head unit. I'm 95% through installing an alarm system, wired up everything except the door lock and unlock. I can't seem to find anything on the web with a 4 plug BCM with pin ID and functionality. All the references I have found refer to BCMs of non-premium and premium models. I opened the drivers door and tried to track it back but can't seem to find it inside the car. Anyone out there with a workshop manual for the base model?

Hi Guys, Due to a complete incident and write-off, I have available an R34 USB consult cable for grabs. I used this to see error codes, and to see an overall view of the car's health (using ECUTalk). I even used it to reset error codes (e.g. engine light using Nissan Data Scan) after replacing an O2 sensor. This cable has served my R34 GT-t very well over it's lifetime. Thanks to the idiot who rear-ended me, I'd like to pass this cable on to help other Nissan's out there. I'm asking for $55, including postage from Sunshine West. Thanks, Michael

Hi CARTEL, the airbox does not come with the rubber piping (which connects from the other end of the AFM). It's just the snorkel and the airbox. Also, where are you located? If you're in Melbourne, drop by and pick it up. This is what the snorkel and airbox looks like: -
What's This Window Trim Called?
theponyremark replied to theponyremark's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Thanks guys for your input. Very valuable information I tried both Megiuar's products which did not change from it's original state. I think I need to wet sand it back with fine grit paper and then spray paint and re-clear coat them. $366 is still too steep for a bit of trim and hopefully the DIY job would only cost me a few days of manual labour. Looks like I will need to buy couple of extra 3M edge masking tape. Thanks for the offer mungy. I will definitely buy it off you if this goes wrong -

Which of the two products would be better to use to polish that trim? http://www.meguiars.com.au/products/car-care/glass-clear-plastic-and-exterior-trim/gold-class-trim-detailer/ - or - http://www.meguiars.com.au/products/car-care/glass-clear-plastic-and-exterior-trim/ultimate-protectant/ -
What's This Window Trim Called?
theponyremark replied to theponyremark's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hey Sinista32, thanks for that! I think it should be the same name for the R34. I haven't tried Meguiar's external trim products, seeing that it's plastic that's tarnished, I should give that a try before spending $366. -
Hi all, I've noticed over time (as with my then-tarnished clear coat), that the black plastic window trim (as I could best describe it), has tarnished under the Australian sun. I'd say at least 40% of the trim is "patchy". Is there a part number or something to remediate this problem?
