What is "CT" ? Nothing about these changes on the Sydney dragway website
-
Just purchased my second set of Bridgestones. first set was at 14000klms, second set at 27000klms. Both sets came from Tempe tyres...cost a few days ago was $2550 unfitted. These were the RE070 R2 which is the latest tyre (make sure they are latest version which is the "R2")

here is my 60-130mph data ..(7.99sec) ..this was during a run at WSID when it ran [email protected] was 400kw atws

Andra can die in fire...they are choking their own sport by not moving with the times. In Sydney you can go across the road from the drag strip and "race" door to door on the circuit at 150mph+ with no cage etc

Its a small world :-)

Below is a bit more information about the radiator and oil cooler that we are building for the Mercury/Qscan R35. The radiator and engine oil cooler cores are the latest in "stepped core" technology. These particular units are designed to be mounted at an angle of 30 degrees yet the ambient air flow through the core is still parrallel to the ground. Below pic is actually for an STi. We decided to make the end tanks from solid billet ....they are still feather weight being 2.5mm thick. finished product We are very excited to be a part of this project...can't wait to see the car back on the track. Next job is a pair of very trick intercooler cores. Kev

S A U N S W - Wakefield Trackday, Number 3 For 2011
Speedah replied to N1GTR's topic in Events Archive
Can we bring something other than Nissan? Id like to come with my R35 and a mate with his Lotus exige Kev -
I had to machine up a sleeve for each injector so it wouldn't slide up and down (and possibly spitting itself out of the hole in the manifold) Oh...have fun "clicking" the fuel pump assembly back into place inside the fuel tank....did you buy HKS pumps??

Talk to Tunehouse in Sydney for a price on an Akrapovic

Had a great weekend... The airstrip at Temora is very bumpy....its quite daunting doing 270km/h on such a rough surface The surface is also covered in small rocks...its like trying to accelerate on marbles Video below shows my last run..you can see how rough it is....the video I uploaded to Youtube was nice and clear...dont know what happened after I uploaded it The bottom left of my display shows speed. My best run was the first at 20.35sec...the data below shows I got off the throttle at the 919 metre mark.....(I wanted to get a feel for the stopping distance before holding it flat though the traps). Comparing the Vbox data on later runs I really did nail the launch on the first run. I think I would have taken the VL if I kept it pegged on the first run Thanks for your help on the weekend Martin

If you run under 12.00 (which I have done in the past) you need an ANDRA licence..the 10 sec pass is logged against you ANDRA licence number... Someone else could take the car and probably get away with running

So, went to Eastern Creek dragway last night...mixed result. ran 10.96 @ 127mph Had two runs.... First run the launch didnt feel clean so I got off it and braked at 3/4 track (to keep above 11.00)....ran 12.1 @ 69mph Second run launch felt good so I stayed on it.... Looking at the data in my Vbox I should have stayed on it the first run..it was running strong at 7.0 @ 103mph half trrack and my 0-100klm/h was 3.0 sec ...second run was 3.2 sec Looking at the video below you can see that the car actually bogged when shifting into second. Its hard to tell but 1st gear was all wheel spin (I had an aggressive 4000rpm launch map) I shifted at the rev limit but because of the wheel spin the vehicle speed was not there and she bogged...(the tacho goes as low as 3000rpm after the shift). The bogging down probably cost me 2-3mph and a few tenths. Looking at a heap of timeslips on the US GTR forums you can see low a 1.6 sec 60 foot is the norm....I think I would have nailed a 1.6 with a few more runs but there was no chance they would let me back on the track.. Enough excuses... timeslip In car video of the run

Been playing with the GTR a bit...latest mods are an E85 conversion. 950cc injectors, HKS GT600 fuel pumps upgrade...and a tune from Willal. Im also using the Sucrogen E85 (same stuff the V8 supercars use). Result was 400kw atws..the thing is damn quick....leaves black lines from each tyre under acceleration in second gear. Off to WSID on Wednesday to see where its at....then off to the Temora 1000 next weekend followed by a track day at Wakefield on the 27th. Thanks to Martin at Willal for tunes HKS pumps and 950cc injectors Sucrogen E85 result...blue line is the 98 tune...needs a little work ...will get onto that later stumbled across this pic from Wakefield

I dont mind this

2010 ADM Willal y-pipe and cat back Willal tune (350kw atws) AP J-Hook rotors with Endless Pads Goodridge braided brake lines For the track I have some 18 x 10 Enkie GTC-01 and Yokohama 295/30 A050s Also changed to Castrol SRF synthetic brake fluid and Willal Victory spec trans fluid. Future (soon) E85 tune with pumps and injectors to suit LC4 launch.....(not really into drag racing but with the 2 launch control programs I have the car either smokes the tyres off the line or bogs down...resulting in crap 60 foot times...have done 11.10@128mph ...want a 10)

A few weeks ago I had the local hand car wash wash my GTR.... when I got home I noticed the rear GTR badge red section (centre of the R) was bent and had a chunk of sponge under it. So...I call the closest GTR dealer to organise a new badge Me: I would like to order the rear GTR badge for my R35 Nissan: no problem...in stock in Melbourne...2 day delivery to Sydney Me: OK..can I use my credit card to pay for it Nissan: yes Me: (reads out CC number) Nissan: thankyou sir...will call you when it arrives Me: Ok...BTW...how much are they Nissan: four hundred and ninety two dollars and eighty cents Me: OK...cancel that Ok, I know that we pay a lot of "GTR tax" for parts but 500 bucks for plastic badge is stupid.. So. I got to Japanparts.com http://www.japanpart...&maker=&VOLKEY= About $100 each delivered...I ordered 2 and they arrived today...genuine Nissan I have purchased a few parts in the last few years from Japanparts...recommend them. Kev

Yes, I did wave/flash back. Did you go to Wakefield?
-
Went to Wakefield today and did a best of 1.04.10 The traffic was very heavy (slow) in the "street car" class and a clean lap was almost impossible. Really wanted a 1.03 but wasnt to be For some reason the SD card in my Performance Box has zero data on it :-( __________________
