  1. most manufacturers run their engines in on an engine dyno before they even see a car... from memory mitsubishi here in adelaide run it for almost 20 minutes at varying load/rpm points and then give it a few runs the redline. this is purely because people don't expect to have to treat the car specially when its new to run it in. thats probably why they can specify synthetic straight away - while the motor may not be 100% run in, the vast majority of the running in process should be done by the time you get the car.
  2. my opinion is number one, since on the dyno you can load up the engine as much as you want (and rev it as high or low as you want at that load). i know people who have done this and had no trouble. some people go to the trouble of putting a lot of weight on their car (towing etc) so they can increase the load to bed rings in - but a full load run through 2nd gear even to 4000rpm is probably hard to do, especially without speeding. however this is just my opinion and i've never rebuilt an engine myself.
  3. *bump* head with manifolds etc would be OK too, i've seen a few of those go around here..
  4. i need one without VVT. R33's have that i believe
  5. Hey all I'm after an R32 (non-VVT) RB25DE with complete manifolds, loom, and ECU. I'm in Adelaide but if you are willing to freight from interstate thats fine. PM me if you have one or know of one for sale!
  6. you said you're not sure. do you want to sell it or not?
