  1. Don't worry about it Shell, I'll go for one I don't have to take off a car =D. Appreciate it though. Added you to MSN Stinky. I don't have a problem leaving collateral =).
  2. Thanks Shell, When would a good time be to come pick it up if no one has a spare laying around?
  3. Hey all. I need to borrow a rim to get my car home. Would of posted in the "I can lend you" thread but I need to know if anyone can lend me one by tomorrow morning. Only has to go about 10-15k. R33 S1 GTST front. Thanks guys.
  4. Just sent the PM. I'll definitely go. Can someone point me to derek so I can arrange to see how loud my car is?
  5. I'm not sure If my car will pass that or not. Anyone got a dB meter? Or remember how loud my car is and have an estimation of if it's okay? If I can confirm my car isn't too loud then I'm in.
  6. Well that explains why they've always had a "bogan" feel to me, I've probably only seen the aussie made ones. Your points have been duly noted. http://www.wendycainphotography.com/beeone...-6R16x95-19.jpg That one I don't mind. I guess I just need to take a real one for a drive. I actually hated R33/34 skylines because of all the wogged up ricers I'd seen. Then I saw my friends with virtually no visual modifications but a lot of money and time spent under the bonet and I saw what the car could be. Ended up buying it 2 weeks later.
  7. I know the 33's aren't loved but.. I just can't stand 30's/31's. I love 32's, 33's, have seen a couple of 34's I don't mind but I have not seen a 30/31 that I like.
  8. Am I the only one who REALLY doesn't like 31/30's ?
  9. They definitely had the stretch of road for it. I'm not sure what speeds where reached though.
  10. I would like to make my opinion on this topic a little more clear. I do not, and haven't seen anyone else here, blame the police. A few of us feel the police should go about this another way. Discussion and new ideas bring innovation. Personal attacks and riding on a high horse calling others "crims" is just degrading this discussion. At no point has anyone said "the police should just let them go". Justin was responsible for what happened. The police are responsible for stopping him. We are trying to discuss a way the police could do this better as what they tried really didn't work and regularly doesn't work. Continue discussion.
  11. Not really.. I fly planes that are fairly slow and it takes no time at all to fly around the edge of Canberra. As for the tax, police raise shit loads of revenue. They can afford it.
  12. I think people misunderstood my point. I'm not saying the police were at a wrong. I'm just saying I think it's bullshit when they say they called the chase off just before the crash. The reality of the situation is sometimes it is NOT worth pursuing these criminals. Yes it seems silly to just let them go, but when you see them driving like this, they aren't going to pull over and it will just end in a crash or the criminals getting away anyway. Most of the time the crashes aren't fatal but innocent people regularly get involved. I agree with GTR-32U on this one. Our police go about this the wrong way. A police helicopter is a much safer way and more proficient way to deal with criminals on the run.
  13. Sorry I had to leave early. Work is a bitch. The drive over has made me feel like a cruise. Something about a dozen RB engines makes me smile.
  14. I'm sure the cops didn't call the case off just before the crash.
  15. Honestly, I saw more skylines today than commodores. Saw a blue R34 and a white R33 about 20 seconds later on Erindale drive. Then I saw Shell's, Kat's and CJ's cars, that black 33 at the car wash, a 32 in Belco as I was going back for stuff I left at the car wash (go me) and 2 R33's on my way home, both parked for skyfire.
  16. Thank you for your mercy Donnan. =).
  17. Spotted Bullet32 (i think) this morning. Got a wave hello and goodbye =). Immaculate car, looks stunning. Was also a white R33 further up in the traffic from us with a pink number plate and chrome rims. I see it parked in fyshwick a bit.

  20. I'm interested. I'll let you know soon.
  21. Well, I think we should be right, just know there is a small risk. I think around 1pm or 2pm. We are going to have to meet up at a car wash to get a few things done (damn water restrictions) first though. I'd wash it for you if you had a way of getting it to somewhere with a hose.
  22. I'll just pick up a few more when I get everything else tomorrow. As for rags, it depends on how you want to clean your engine bay. If you want to take your sweet time and do it the safest way, buy some rags from bunnings or something but the easier and quicker way is with degreaser and a hose (as opposed to getting it off with degreaser and a rag - It tends to push it around a lot). Your average car detailing place uses pressure hoses but they do it while your car is hot. Not great for your block and turbo. I'll be doing mine and Shell's while our cars are warm and then starting them up to help it dry out. Really up to you.
  23. Well I've pretty much already got everything for that already so don't worry about bringing anything unless you have any microfiber towels, you can never have enough. Oh and if either you or Shell could bring a second bucket that would be good.
  24. I'm going to be buying some stuff for me and Shell to clean our cars with, did you want me to pick up some stuff for you too? If so, just tell me what your planning on cleaning (e.g. Just exterior and engine bay, plastics, carpet). I've already got a bit of stuff left over from the last time I did this so I might not even have to buy much.
  25. Just use degreaser on everything (might want to put plastic bags over sensitive bits and clean with degreaser and a rag) and rinse it off. Don't do it while the engine is hot, but about 10-15 minutes after it's been off. Won't deform anything and the warm engine will dry water if it's gotten anywhere it shouldn't. Start the car once your done to ensure it dries out. After having it run for 5 minutes let it cool down a bit again and use a plastics cleaner (armorall sell a pretty cheap one) to spray everything with and start your car (again) to make sure it dries. I don't like using water in the engine bay, do it at your own risk. I've had one car run a bit funny after doing it, I dried all the connections and after a while I got it back to normal, but I'm sure if you don't do this all while the car is warm worse could happen. I've detailed about 20 engine bays and only had one small and easy to fix problem. Not sure what other peoples experiences are. Just don't spray water on your engine while it's still at normal running temps. It will deform the metal. When I do mine and Shell's I'll be sealing the valley and doing that bit with a rag - Don't want water sinking down there.
