Used to detail cars, NEVER wanted to know what I was cleaning but carpet shampoo Usually gets MOST things out and if that doesn't degreaser works on most other things.
-
Thanks for the reassurances. Edit: Didn't read that properly the first time Trozzle. Carpet shampoo and then vacuum it out. If you can't be bothered just use a watered down kitchen degreaser and again, vacuum it out once scrubbed (with a sponge or brush).

Can someone reassure me that it doesn't matter that my car has been keyed and my front bumper has fallen apart? I just feel weird going to a car show without a show car =(.

Blue Skyline Crashed Into House In Calwell?
Giveway replied to Trozzle's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Understandable, but we aren't all bad. I've never done damage to another persons car but I've had damage done to mine on 3 separate occasions. But those P platers are bastards. -
I used to, not so much anymore. I normally take my green EL falcon but sometimes I just can't be bothered putting up with slow. The dirt road is REALLY fun if it's grated but the moment it rains it's just. Not good. I used to drive that road every night at about 1am. I used to get very sideways, it helps having your headlights where your going, rather than off the road.
-
Nah mines silver and no GTR kit. I only go that way if Captains Flat Road has been freshly grated, otherwise I go the long way around or I take my falcon.
-
I drive that road heaps and I've never seen another skyline on it =(.
-
I'm normally getting ready to sleep by about 8am and don't bother getting up til 2 in the afternoon so I think I can manage that. Just as long as we have some decent light for some of it, we'll get by.

Skyline Broken Into Woden Carpark

This would be good if I didn't occasionally set my alarm off while I'm sitting in my car.. -

If you find a decent horn let me know. I don't know if it's just mine but my horn does not suit my car. I want a harbor horn but I'm guessing they weigh a lot so I'll settle for truck horn. -
Some places are better than others, but if you really want to tell, keep an eye on inside the garage, driveway and the road jsut leaving the garage for tyre marks =). The place I worked at had burn out marks everywhere. I really don't know why people dropped cars off to us. Mine is so far from a show car, I need to do as much as I can to have it pass as presentable =). Don't want to let SAU down. I'll try sort out a good compressor. If not, I've got an average one we can use. I'll make up a list of things we'll need but if you want, I can just pick up what ever you don't have when I go to get stuff for me. I get minimal discounts =). Also how far do you want to go with this? A fairly decent overall clean or a full detail inside and out including the engine bay? A full detail does look, feel and smell nice but I'm just warning you. It will take up a lot of time to get 2 cars done. I might get a few small things done on my car the day before to free up a bit of time.
-
I'm on the south side but I don't mind driving to the north side. If it's a hot day, it's really good to do as much of the car as you can in shade so a garaged area might be nice =).
-
Shell I live in a complex too =(. We can just go to a car wash. Main things we need: Pressure hose Vacuum that can such water and if we are cleaning up the plastics in our car to make them look new again - A compressor. I can probably sort out a compressor and we can do the plastics at my place then go to a car wash for shampooing of carpets and cleaning of exterior. I think we should probably cap it at 3 people though, cause it will be a bit of a rush to get all 3 done, let alone more. I'll go price all the things we'll need to clean each car in a day or two.
-
After working as a car detailer, i'd NEVER leave my car unattended with them. Mind you i worked at a dodgy one. Joy rides and burnouts wheren't uncommon. It's why I left.
-
I can never be bothered to do all the cleaning stuff on my own. Someone want to meet up the day before and double team our cars? I used to detail cars so I'm pretty handy with it. Don't care if it's just a wash, vacuum and polish or a full rejuv of plastics, shampooing of carpets and detailing of engine bay. Any takers? 01- Donnan 32 GTR 02- Kat 32 GTR 03- Troy 33 GTS-T 04- Shell R34 GTT 05- Reece 32 GTS-T 06- Bob?????? 07- Cejay 32 GTS4 08- A20089 R33 GTR 09- ZCR R32 GTS-T 10- Dave R33 GTS-T

After some light skim reading on the site, I'm still not sure what this actually is.. What day is it being held on? And how much time will it take up in total? Do our cars have to be in pristine condition or is a mangled front bar and a dirty engine bay acceptable? Sounds like it might be worth taking a day off work for.
-
Thats okay =).
-
How old is the bar fridge? I'll take it if it's not in terrible condition.

White R33 GTR on canberra ave, then a Blue R34 with no wing moments later. Both hammering, not sure if they where together or not.
-
Spotted a blue R33 on the monaro hwy at 3:20am, and i'm fairly sure the same one at 7am heading back that way out of queanbeyan.

I'm interested but I have to see how money goes. -
White R33 just up from conder shopping center again. Silver R33 GTST stuck in heavy traffic with me along the monaro hwy.
-
The roar of 10 or so RB25/26/30's would of been enough to scare it off =).

Bring her every time, to ward off unwanted possums.

Do you guys meet just next to the boat house? I think I can remember reading that but I'm not sure.
