After a break in the rain .... spend 2 hours wiht car .... finaly after following the TCM diagnostic mode 2 (self test) several times eventualy got it to work the light had the longer flash at the 5th flash.... indicating shift solenoid B circut problem .... but it also did a weird break flashed 5times breaked then flashed 7 ..... ?
  3. checked manual ... solenoid A and B in gear box with throw limp mode weather A or B or both are faulting ..... could anything else casue this
  4. Yes another one ... but i have some more info on exact situation. Drove around the coast for about 2 hours .... did have ignition off once or twice ... did not exceed about 80ks an hour. Pulled up to the round about near blue tong stadium .. went to pull away was in third .... tried tiptonic .... nothing .....was about 1230 in the morning ... limped it home about 6 kms... turned it off then beck on A/t light flashed Off and on again ... light went away...... its pissing down outside going to wait for it to settle down 1) check fluid level 2) possible diagnostic if it has kept the code 3) if its gone away will it come back ? 4) I have read its usualy solioids .... what else could it be ?
  5. hay man i would also invest some time in looking at a regrind ..... i dont know price but i know of alot of people being able to get more out of the car after a re grind
  6. Thanks greg ... and how did that end up working out ? bettter feeling result power ?
  7. Thats an interesting input.... good to see they both have differance in application .... sorry i ment to describe a test for how they help up for stregth not power as in test the resistance between all................... the standard ones that i had the differance between working and missing was 1310 to 1410 it was funny to see .0100 was the diff between working and not ..... i would want to see how they all hold up for time .... how long they last
  8. Ok i could think of 1 way ...... find a model EG series 2 r 33 ..... find people who have splities jjr yellow jackets ect ..... who have run them for around 20000 kms who are within the same power range let say 180-200 kwatw and test them with the multi meter then compair results with an adverage ?
  9. hmmm we dont have to wait for a mag to test them ether we just need someone with doh to donate 1 of each and im sure with all the tech experince on this site we could put together a test device .... hmmm i go get my pen and paper out
  10. S**t sorry should have read .... hmm yellow jackets from the site are like 400 thats like 100 or so diff from splitfire and thats a big diff i might go with them
  11. Just go for a good intake be the best way im getting one done soon with a new system that was tested on my car that i dont think im allowed to say untill its released but for an integrated box it had some decent gains
  12. meh i suppose i thought even if all cars are bit diff and dynos you would still be able to at lest prove that before and after there was this much gain or even loss but oh wel
  13. Hay guys was going to suggest if a sticky that runs along the lines of power results but to exact mod parts .... with before after dyno or just a feel or 0 to 60 or 100 time whatever the postie is able to get EXAMPLE Part : apexi pod Car 34 25gt Power result. 89kw before 91 after and / or 0 - 100 = .5 second faster and / or =ect ect
  14. there are sealed auto units not on skylines tho where u carnt check the oil basicly u just follow the schedule .... hmmm ill go back and talk to him or go see an auto trannie specialist and see what they think
  15. hay guys thabkyou very much for the response now i know the guestimate on line sizes cost and what i need .... happy driving
  16. Yeah thats probs what ill end up doing ..... got mate up road who stoks heaps of that stuff .... was just hopeing that someone might know so i could avoid having to go back and fourth (doing massive service in one day and pre bulking parts lol)
  17. LOL i would have some super problems if they were hahahahaha nah one of them is probs leaking i think but there all pritty dry and brittle ... im a bit finiky now that im learning more "2nd year shit kicker" I dont need all the individual lengths just a rough over all ... i thought most vac lines would have roughlhy the same size diamiter ? might have to do some more investigating .... bugger manufacturer ill just find some kool colours and cut it properly
  18. Hello Nikk Unfortuneately i have also ponderd the same and the answer is no.... the design of the intake pipes ect to to create velocity for the air .... the side mount inatke Greddy ect wont work and u will lose quite alot of power if u tired i did hear that one person had ones custom made but never herd or saw how they went.
  19. Hello all looking to change all my vacume lines and coolant lines around engine ect does anyone know pipe diamiter sizes and a rough estimate on how much i will need ? Thankyou
  20. Hello all skyline-ne-ans Dex 3 was in gearbox when i bought the car beeen told that should do fine just change more often ... do wanna try getting back to tranzmax z but my head mechanic informs me that if i swap from one to the other it will fk the gear box Mineral to sinthetic is bad plan. I was wondering if i did the flush by disconecting the cooler pipe and flushed it like 3 or four times with tranz max z drop the sump and changed the filter then fill if that would be suitable or as the boss said the only way to get rid of it all is "strip the bi**h"
  21. Drag coefficant is the technical name isent it ? and when altering the any shocks or going to coil overs shouldnt roll/sway bars be considerd also ?
  22. Part: Splitfire , super spark . yellow jacket ..... coil pack why : standard coil packs burn out ... they work in extremely hot conditions and with really high ammounts of electricity burn out means eventual engine light and horrid missfire usualy in the conditions late at night in the rain and no were near a work shop becasue the spark is not going were it should results : desputeable gain but more importantly relyability and not having to baby your car home couffing farting spluttering and carrying on
  23. hmmm $880 dollars for poncams ? worth it for the results with the standard system ?
