So after 5 hours today, here's where we got. gonna fill in the wings more to blend them in a little better tomorrow or some other time.

Went back to the Lost Birds Racing Garage today to get some more work done. Donnie showed up in his R33 to tackle some jobs before he headed back to the track as well. Also pictured is an R32 hoping to see some renewed glory. just the doors and roof left now.

Thanks guys. It is really appreciated. That's coming from Allison. update for today! :-) It started out with nice weather today for a change! But then it started to get cold so we had to take it inside the Lost Birds Garage. Snap-On tools and 8 hydraulic lifts FTW. This is as far as it got today.

^haha, that's pretty funny! well, it's starting to get there! Lost internet up here in death city, Japan for the last couple of days, so I was unable to update pics, and could only look at the internet on an iphone. anyway, here's the progress up to today. And Allison says hello Japanese style with crooked feet and a peace sign. Also did a baseline performance run just to see where the car sits right now. this is with 2 people in the car, and as you can see I let off the gas at 1000 feet and even hit the brakes (blue line goes negative) but still did a 13.3 400m run. this was also done on 245/45/17 snow tires, whereas race day will be 275 Nitto NT01s :-)

just to the right and up from the T is lost there is an actual bird. might not be the only one though.. you'll see it now that I told you. it's tail is literally right next to the T.

^I have no idea either, I just leave her be and see what happens just like everyone else. haha hood is done with 'Lost Birds Racing' logo, and there are some birds on the hood. see if you can spot them, rear bumper is next!

about 105 hours of drawing. and however many hours removing and refitting parts over and over again.

it's exactly like that haha. I think I almost get my ass kicked every time I mention the car these days. but when we roll around the block and she sees people breaking their neck to get a look it kind of rejuvenates her I guess.

will consider this approach.=) Allison came back yesterday and started on the hood.

Hmm, I have only ever seen those in white as well, so I might have to do a photoshop to visualize it.

all this stuff is on a clearcoated. What do you think about the rims?? just stuck it next to the car for a quick look myself.

Right now she's not doing anything. She was the manager of the Art Department at University of Hawai'i for a while, but they had all sorts of budget crisis issues so she left there. ^Thanks for the props. Allison is in Osaka for a few more days and then the ball will get rolling again on this.

haha, i don't even know what to call it. Maori/Hawaiian/something mixed with some things I drew on it like the GT logo on there.. haha thanks!, hopefully I can get past the idea of crashing once it's time to go all out!

^Thanks guys! well I don't know Japanese very well so i don't post on any of their forums and the car is cooped up in the garage so it's a big secret over here. haha. got the other fender on and took this very over exposed pic so I made it BW for fun, Allison will be back soon from Osaka to continue drawing.

hmmm, ring or... turbos! haha it's bound to happen I guess, but not just yet. thanks! put one of the fenders back on and took some pics out of the garage. also made the pictures a little larger because it's kinda hard to the whole idea when they are small. ...and then the 'sad' side of the car. that's not rust at the bottom either, just dirt I didn't clean off yet since the other side was priority. Weeee, coming along!

Time Lapse

no problem to me! This isn't the first time a car/bike has been drawn on, so I'm a copycat too.. Personally though. my unbiased opinion is that this car will look better than the Lambo...haha. here's the first part of this update. I also have a time lapse video of the remaining front fender that is almost finished. 3 hours in under a minute!

I'm seriously considering getting something done with this design. I have 15 tattoos already so it couldn't hurt. :-) last night progress. almost finished this today but I forgot the camera.

Yeah, that was my one request was to leave the body lines. To me it's one of the elements that will keep it from looking like a complete jumble at a distance. It's basically a reverse pinstripe. It wouldn't have been hard to draw over them, you're right. It will probably look much better and make more sense when the car is in one piece.
