I'm finally finishing up my build (4 years off the road!) with twin GTX2867R low mounts. Hope to have some dyno numbers within a couple of months, but based on what I had some years ago on my 2863 units I expect to be north of 700 rwhp. -

I've had a few queries on these and it's easiest to clarify here: These pistons suit standard or aftermarket rods for RB26 engines You will new a new or used block that hasn't previously been bored so you can take it from the OEM 86mm to 86.5mm. This still leaves plenty of metal between the cylinders and the water galleries The wrist pin height of the pistons is different from OEM pistons to suit HKS, Nitto, Spool, Brian Crower crankshafts. Everything brand new and includes matched rings and pins. -

11.0 : 1 Obviously only an estimate as the head gasket thickness and any combustion chamber machining will affect this. -
RB28 CP Pistons - $1,200 I have brand new (never out of the box) RB28 Pistons. These are to suit any RB26 stroker crank that uses standard rod length but alters the pin height of the piston (eg HKS, Spool, Nitto etc). Specs are: 86.5mm diameter 9.0 : 1 compression ratio 21mm wrist pin included Carillo rings included Perfect for 98 or E85 fuel and better off boost response than factory 8.7:1 CR. I'm only selling as I have decided to go higher CR due to running E85 only. Retail price is now ~$1,750 for these. Text me on 0438 036 375 Gav

R32 Aluminium Door Cards Does anyone know of a workshop that has a template for R32 door cards? This may save some time and cost if a fabrication shop has done these previously for motorsport applications. Cheers Gav

I'm interested to talk with anyone who has successfully controlled the ATTESSA system with their ECU. We are actually using a Motec 185 dash to control the system as we have already assigned the PID function from the M800 to boost control. The intent is to control transfer case line pressure via PWM output from the dash. This will set the amount of torque sent to the front wheels. We have the following obvious parameters available on CAN bus available to set up the control logic: * individual wheel speeds * ground speed * G force (longitudinal and latitudinal) * torque request and TPS (using drive by wire) * transfer case pressure * front and rear brake line pressures I'm envisaging we will use a 3D calibration table to set the required transfer case line pressure. This will be similar to a boost table or perhaps a traction control table. I know the Full Race controller only uses G force and TPS as inputs, but I'm thinking rear wheel slip would be a useful input as well as front brake line pressure. Initially to get us going we could connect the Full Race controller and log parameters, but if someone has done this previously (and is willing to share), that will save us a lot of time end effort. I have a pair of Alcon mono-block 4 pot MB4 calipers with Pagid Orange pads to suit - $1,500 firm including post These are absolutely unused as are the Pagid RS4-4 pads. They have never even been fitted to a car. These are serious calipers machined from billet aircraft grade aluminium alloy. They use a very large pad area and volume for extreme applications such as the GT series as front calipers in lighter cars or rear in heavier cars. They take a 330x28mm disc. I'm doing calcs for master cylinder sizing for a pedal box. The calcs are quite sensitive to CofG variations which makes sense as this plays a large part in weight transfer during braking. Has anyone accurately determined their CofG? It would also be useful to know what your ride height was set to at the time. My car is stripped at present so I can't do this myself. Cheers Gav

Thanks Simon I have one of the Eliminator Stealth kits on the way which will let me easily construct a "pump in surge tank" setup similar to the Sard tank I had previously. After speaking with more people it seems that a simple high quality SSR will do the trick. -

Thanks Kitto - these are quite crude and only have a high/low switch point. I think they also require an old style tach signal from the coil. I'm using an Aeromotive Eliminator pump - not sure of the maximum draw. Surely someone here must have set up a PWM output to control a fuel pump . -
As part of my upgrade I'm installing a single large fuel pump rather than 2 pumps in parallel. Most aftermarket ECUs can output a PWM signal based on selected parameters (eg injector duty, rpm, manifold pressure etc). My question is what is used to switch off and on the pump? I see Motec has a purpose built dual half bridge amplifier for such a duty. http://www.motec.com.au/dhb/dhboverview/ This is only rated at 20A continuous which may be inadequate for this pump at full speed. Can a solid state relay be used or will this not be up to the task of switching at many times per second that the PWM signal will request? Cheers Gav

I've got a JB twin plate that gets a LOT of launches put through it. It's now on it's 4th year of motorsport and has survived 5 gearboxes (2 OS gearsets, 2 standard and now on a full PPG box with centre plate and billet forks). I bought a Coppermix Comp clutch 6 months ago as a backup, but there are no signs yet that it will be used anytime soon.

Bear in mind it is a bit of a mission to do this at home as you will almost certainly need to take off the hub assembly to press out the existing ball joint bush.
