  1. Door seals (the L shaped rubber that seals the glass against the pillar and roof). Don't even ask what Nissan want for these!
  2. I'm chasing some minor bits and pieces for my R32 GTR. Anyone know on any wreckers with R32 bits (doesn't have to be GTR)?
  3. Chasing a used after market exhaust for my R32 GTR (HKS, Apexi etc). PM or email direct on [email protected].
  4. Almost certainly will get Steve to do the Wolf install for me. Glad to hear that you are happy with the work you had done. Can't imagine how the ECU would control 4WD functionality as it would need to interact with the ATESSA computer. Still, will let you know what is possible when I get this done in a few weeks. Cheers
  5. Thanks for the comments Probably belongs in another thread, but the reason I was asking is that I am considering using one of the new Wolf 3D P&P ECUs for my GTR. From the specs that I have read, this can only use the internal MAP sensor that comes with the unit. The Wolf, however, seems like pretty good value and should have all the functionality that I need. I am very familiar with the PFC from my previous S15 and got some good gains by fitting an RB25 AFM on the SR20 motor. I would have no problems with using a PFC and 2 x Z32 AFMs on the GTR, however I really would like air intake temp. correction for Perth's hot summer days! By the time you get the PFC, Commander, 2 x AFMs and Data-Logit (if you want to log runs/ load alternative maps) you are just about into Motec territory for cost!
  6. Will be looking at fitting an after market ECU in the near future to my GTR. I've heard that the 6 throttle body setup of the GTR makes it difficult to tune with a MAP sensor. Thoughts or recommendations?
  7. Try posting on the UK GTR Register Forum at: http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/
  8. Rod do you know if those rails will be suitable for my R32? Cheers Gav
  9. Glad to hear it Mark. The low down grunt of the ute definately takes a lot of turbo drivers by surprise. Felt as quick as my old S15 when you took me for a spin. BTW my "R" is now in the docks going through the customs crap. Hope to have it ready by Xmas.
  10. I saw a classic sticker some months ago in the same colours/design as the original HSV: " HSV - I Just ATE one" . Dunno where you get 'em but might get some made up. Anyone want some?
  11. Grandenko's right. I put one of these "Apexi" copies on my old S15 and tried it against 2 other brands on SSTs dyno. The cheaper one actually made more power than the open pipe! I've still got it at home and you can try it out for nought if you want to wait until mid December when I get back to Perth.
  12. Talk to Jash at C-Red he be de agent for K&N
  13. Thanks Joe PM'ed Ken but no reply yet. Ken........?????
  14. I'm looking at replacing the worn steering wheel on the GTR that I have on the way from Japan. Momo does a nice (IMO) unit called the "Jet", but in two sizes 350mm and 320mm. Can anyone what is the standard size of the GTR wheel ? What size would people recommend? Cheers Gav
  15. Indeed a sad story Rod - a very sweet ride. Catch ya when I get back to Perth.
  16. Yer Mark - my only saving grace is that there was apparently an "independent" witness at the scene confirming that it was just plain "bad luck" caused by other idiots on the road. I think they really got sh1tty, tho, when I sent them a large bill for the lamp pole that Western Power only forwarded to me last month. RAC are now re-considering - fingers crossed! Won't/can't use RAC for the GTR anyway as all here well know. Hopefully the new R32 gets loaded onto the ship any day now!
  17. yer - condolences to Ross and all involved. BTW - I'm now officially "uninsurable" according to RAC. Can go with others but have to declare that I have had "Insurance Declined" under the Duty of Disclosure Act. Friggin Insurance Underwriters wield too much bloody power.
  18. I'm not sure what you're referring to. PFC generally uses only the existing sensors. On the SR20 motors there is no measure of air intake temp, therefore the PFC cannot correct for this. I don't think the RB motors have this either. Lamda refers to the stoichiometric air/fuel ratio of 14.7 and is not directly related to temp correction. The PFC does use the O2 meter for closed loop (cruise) mode.
  19. Yep - he knows his Wolf systems pretty well and is bloody patient when it comes to ironing out "gremlins" when tuning. Guess I'm biased towards Grant/Steve after the huge effort that they put in on the S15 and they didn't even supply the ECU. There should be a few Version 4 installations running around now and I will be speaking to some of the guys that have gone this route. BTW - Jash has landed that blue V-Spec. Drop by there and give me a first hand report if you are ever in the area.....
  20. Mat I am definitely going for the Wolf V4 plug & play for the R32 GTR. As you know, I got to know the PFC very well on my old S15. The unit has some great pros, however one of the biggest cons was that there is no temperature correction. Detonation was much more evident during the summer months and during the day. As you only have the choice of only one set of "custom" maps or the factory (default) maps, this means that you either run a conservative map in the cold weather, or have to spend a fair bit of time remapping for summer/daytime performance runs. The PFC also uses MAF (airflowmeter) rather than MAP. This is not really a problem in terms of flow restrictions as you can bolt on a big Z32 meter (or a pair of the suckers for an RB26). Don't know which option I will use for the GTR as I have heard that the 6 throttle bodies don't give a stable MAP reading.
  21. I've got a quote for transport (shipping) insurance for the R32 GTR that I'm bringing over. 2.5% of the value with an XS of $500 (exlcudes any rust, oxidisation or discolouration). Cover is from Port to Port. I'm trying to weigh up the risks of this insurance - anyone had bad damage done during transit? BTW - The car is stock with no aftermarket "goodies"
  22. Actually correct chemical name IS methylbenzene, (methobenzene is also commonly used but is a misnomer). I stole 4 litres when I did my chemistry/metallurgy degree (too many years ago now) and mixed it in the fule tank of my EK Holden (202 tripple f*ck yous, a lumpy seat and exagerators). Thems were the day me boy!
  23. Shoot Dang! What's the difference in diameter, width, offset compared to the R32 stockies. BTW - maybe look good on black R32 too?
  24. It's the common name for methylbenzene. Also commonly used as a thinner in resins and lacquers. Some hardware shops sell it for this purpose.
