  1. Two and a half year since the 32 came off the road for the planned overhaul. Who knew I'd be so out of funds shortly afterwards? Grrrr.... Absolutely zero thoughts of selling her, and when she's finished, it will all be done 100%, no compromise!
  2. Delayed 'spotted': riding home on my .45 kilowatt set of wheels, I heard the unmistakable noise of a boosted RB. Spun around to see one of my fave gunmetal grey GT-R 32's drive past onto Dairy Flat Road. Waved to owner, got a wave back: suprised he recognised me in my riding kit! Also spotted (today) a silver 32 GTR, in VERY neat trim, turning up a street in the upper areas of Jerrabomberra. Are you on here, Mr. GT-R owner?
  3. I hope they don't upgrade to Haltech's Version I ECU... Props to H'tech for having the nuts to push the envelope, tho'!

    R35 Gtr

If this is true, someone has blown, literally, a lot of money. I can see the Nissan official line now..."Sorry; no warranty on grey or personal imports...". Maybe the thread on 35 engines in this section will heat up even further with ideas! (LTS Jayce now keeping one sceptical eye on the 'For Sale' section, LOL)
  5. LOL; couldn't agree more! I would much rather the 35 to a highly modded earlier GT-R of any model for road duties, and I'd still pick it over any 'real world' supercar. I can't see any way, even with all the money imaginable, that a Veyron or a Pagani etc would be any more 'liveable', either...although a full carbonfibre Zonda is pretty sexy! So the 35 is still the king dingaling of road cars. I s'pose I was thinking of the R32's race history, how many races it won that it entered everywhere blah blah blah; I'm assuming the 35 will get raced more and more, but in a different world now where it probably can't match the history only because of rules, regs, events and so on. I think the new car will have a good crack at things, if allowed! Back on topic; a 'crate' 35 engine would be lost in any other car, regardless of cost, IMHO. Considering what Nissan invested in getting the balance 'just right' as a whole car, we could almost start a thread here about what a top fueller engine would be like in a Skyline...
  6. Was the 35 designed as a race car first and foremost, and a road car secondly? I've missed something...
  7. That, ladies and gents, is GOLD.
  8. I fully understand your point, but another view may be this: R32 GT-R = Group A racecar, made in numbers to meet homologation requirements. Hardly a daily driver with a magic wand over it, perhaps? Thoughts, anyone? That said, the 35 is a very, VERY sexy piece of kit. It just doesn't have the racing soul.
  9. Try to imagine how I feel after two years!!
  10. Finally, an event where I'm NOT working on that weekend! I'll be there to cheer you lot on! (Dammit: why can't I have the beastie ready to kick some Supra tail...)
  11. Good to see some local lads getting coverage in one of the finest publication avail' in this wide brown land! P.S. Reece: PM sent!
  12. Welcome on board Craig! I hope you enjoy your time with a Skyline!!
  13. That's some funny sh*t right there!! LMAO!! That said, I still have a hankering for a midnight purple 33 GT-R...although it would have to live 'outside', as the 32 is still The King!
  14. Peeve? Having a 300+ kp/h weapon at my disposal...and not owning it!! Although for the money it would owe me, the GT-R would be finished...
  15. I cannot reveal my secrets!!
  16. oh, I wish!! Nag, Case' had another 15+ km/h on what I achieved, AND he did it lap after lap; my speed was a one off! How the lads do it every lap is frickin' amazing!!
  17. I wont say where, and I wont say when, but I spotted a digital speedo going to 299 km/h... and the tacho' still piling on 1800 rpm more before the rev limiter hit. Fast? Unless you've been there, you're missing out on one of life's greatest moments. P.S. Not a Skyline, but I wish it was!
  18. Hi; me again. Maybe I missed your post, but who did you decide on? If you don't want to give away your secrets to the whole world, a PM will be fine!
  19. So very well said!!
  20. Kat, make sure you consider this post!
  21. How did I know this would be right up your alley?!? LOL!
