  1. Excellent! Even as you're about to download your playing speed,it's funny(hint-look at the bracketed advice...)
  2. Normally,I'm quick to jump to the 'natural selction' defence when people put themselves into a stupid predicament, but how bad must life have to seem to top oneself? Sad...
  3. Due to no real progression in topics in our l'il ACT section(c'mon, face it:we're not really growing outta sight with new topics in the last 6 months...),I thought I'd throw this into the mix: What's your fave' tunes being turned up on your home stereo/work radio/MP3 player(Ipod isn't the only brand, yes?)or car's stereo? What REALLY gets you amped/teary/thinking/working/mashing?I don't want or need anyone bagging other peoples' music/song selection:whatever you listen to is totally your call.I always like to see what other people are into;it usually jogs my memory of a song or album I need to revisit,or opens my eyes to new stuff that I otherwise wouldn't have listened to... I know Ipods have that 'star rating' feature to keep your favorites in some sense of importance/priority of best/most listened to,down to 'meh...could care less'. What I'm curious about is what REALLY gets you lot out of the drone of everyday life, for,as we all know, music is one of the essentials for almost all of us! So,maybe something like this: Artist:Disturbed Song/s: Voices,The Game Album:The Sickness Optional, genre: Metal Optional, why?: Pumps the blood! Artist:De La Soul Album:De La Souls Is Dead Song/s:Ring Ring Ring Optional, genre:Hip Hop Optional, why?:To me,it's timeless. I dare ya not to sing along! Artist:Depdish Album: Song/s:Flashdance Optional,genre:Dance/electronic Optional,why?:Cruisy... Artist:Fort Minor Album:The Rising Tied Song/s:Where'd you go? Optional, genre: Optional, why?:Busts me every time I hear it Artist:Rage Against The Machine Album:As per artist,I believe Song/s:Killing in the name Optional, genre:Metal?Altenative? Optional, why?:Makes me feel alive-heartrate at 180BPM+! Artist: Album: Song/s: Optional, genre: Optional, why?: Artist: Album: Song/s: Optional, genre: Optional, why?: And so on! Like I said, don't hack on other peoples stuff-no one is here to judge you! Don't know the specifics?Leave it blank. And if someone stuffs up something like what 'genre' their music is in your eyes, either get over it or keep it quiet! C'mon people:LET'S GET IT ON!!
  4. I agree with Skylvia-post them up. I did a search for 'bad traders'(not to be confused with Rogue Traders...),and I can't see the old link for shonky dealings. Being that the event actually occured, you're not slandering them;merely stating the facts,so give us all the heads up where to avoid by jotting their name down...
  5. Hmm...I sense a common R32 prob'? Mine would, although VERY infrequently, not acyually come down the temp range:stay on 20 degrees, resisting any button pushing to bring it down, but would go up a degree each time you hit the button. Usually reset itself if I turned it all off and started again. I thing 2GU UP's post may shed some light on the subject! As my car is in bits,I'll investigate further...
  6. Cha-Ching! My verdict? Money WELL spent!!
  7. Ah,a dollar for every time a girl has said that to me...LOL! ANYTHING,providing it's done RIGHT,can be engineered.20's on a Gemini are legal, providing the load rating, overall width(and if not, speedo correction),wheel track, offset to body clearance, plus a number of other things, are dealt with. Twin turbo 1UZ 4 lite V8 in a Celica? Done. 9 litre turbo'd Chev' in a LH 'Rana? Road legal. One just has to take the nessesary engineering steps(not the report-actually make it roadworthy before said piece of paper...),and 'voila!' All good! Doesn't stop you from being harrased if you drive a/ like a d**kwad or b/ drive an obviously modified vheicle. but,if you have the paperwork to prove it,AND it's still actually legal, and not changed since the cert' was issued, bring it on! Good luck, nsanity:it'll all work out!
  8. PM sent...
  9. Occasionally the Yanks suprise me and come up with some SERIOUS motorsport vehicles. There was a AWESOME WRX 2 door that someone had built from the ground up(...LTS Jayce scrabbling to find the link...)that was a pure weapon, this Porka is a good run at the 'serious' tag, plus a few well thought out mudderboikes. Mostly,I'm left at the toilet bowl, awaiting the next bout of vomitting as they produce some riced out,2F2F or boat-with-big-horsepower-but-can't-turn-or-stop P.O.S. ... So,the Porsche gets my thumbs up!
  10. Actually,I never said I had an R33:check out my teeny tiny little avatar-my R32 GT-R. And I'm comparing it against my dyno sheets...from when the car was stock standard, which was rather a long time ago,LOL! The next dyno sheets, which will be a way's off, should produce vastly different figures to what the factory originally intended... An interesting thing sprang up in one of the latest Wheels mag's:any new car MUST be sold with an ADR81 test sticker:fuel consumption to you and me. It's a guide only, and proved to be quite different to the figures produced in the real world. However,Joe Public would be easily suckered into anticipating similar figures when buying said new vehicle...So,as Mulder and Scully once said:trust no one!!!
  11. F'rinstance,my car has a manufacturer's claim of 206 Kw's,unmodified-and I don't believe it for one second....
  12. Ignore the decal:weight it,and watch 'em turn red in the face...
  13. Cheers:here's to two guys that lived every day like it was their last! Back on topic:those that want to play in the 'bricks'n'mortar' investment game:it's worth it! Give VeilsideR33 a buzz/PM!
  14. Yep;what he said...
  15. I'll vouch for Andrew's real estate passion:if anyone is even remotely thinking of doing ANYTHING,real estate wise, drop him a line(no pun intended). I think you'll find it worth you while, even if it's a coffee catch up/chat!
  16. Thanks,crew:I'm on it! Cheers,Jayce.
  17. Likewise:
  18. Yep:yoinking. It's a technical term amongst car theives;mainly those who answer to "Snake" and have a gig appearing on family cartoons...LOL! Me,I had my alarm with many features fitted by AudioTech in Scollay Street in Tuggeranong-no hassles, good price, and awesome backup service for any dumb questions I asked! I think it's personal as to who someone considers good, bad or otherwise. Shop around, stick with brand names you've heard of,and go from there...
  19. I'm gutted. Nothing else says it better...GUTTED...
  20. Delayed 'spotted':saw Jester in a beautifully contolled drift somewhere in Jerra' on Tuesday night...
  21. And see post # 7 for Grant's confirmation of this...
  22. Ah ha. Methinks you're onto something... That voice is v. familiar- that Ketzal(sp?) dude from Un Zud? The soundtrack is almost patently his,too...
  23. Thanks Wink! Excellent!
  24. I hope the insurance company got hold of the footage:'Sorry, sir:we can't insure you as you drive like a twit..."
  25. Neat! Got the story behind it? Looks like lottsa custom bits...Love the wastegates! One would imagine it'd have some punch!
