  1. Oh,just a quick note:I posted this on the ACT thread for ACT SAU crew,so anyone that's not my usual locals don't take it personally if I say it's only for you guys and gals. I had a kind PM from a WA member, but I will keep this within our boundaries pre eBay!
  2. Thanks for the link! Everyone take note!!
  3. Thankyou sir! You've been a huge help, seriously! And to those that endevour to get said GT-R bar fitted to their GTS',good luck-it sounds and appears quite doable!
  4. That's not as shocking as I expected... Mr Nissan as in the USA fella, not Nissan Oz,yes? I've got a V Spec' II 32,so the front bar has the extra vents etc...I'd assume Nissan Oz,not bringing this model in,wouldn't want to have anything to do with it. Has anyone found a Nissan dealer in Oz that'll get new bits from Japan for their import that isn't a locally bought in model? And,back on thread, most GTS-T's seem to have that dreaded gap on the sides, but I've seen the things fitted successfully,so it can be done...Once again, listen to funkymonkey and 2GU UP-they're onto it re:that GTR bumper support.
  5. Not to hijack this thread(and funky + 2 G U UP are right,by the way!),where is the best place to look for NEW Nissan body bits(R32 GT-R,if it matters)? Japan? Or does someone reputable bring in/order in stuff here? My car is dead straight, but a project looms...
  6. Ya missed out,Kam'! One of life's genuinely religious experiences... Oh,by the way-the Owl thing-WTF?? There's gotta be a funny story behind THAT,surely?!?
  7. ah,yes...my bad! Shoulda read R33 GT-R 368Nm... Ya got me fair + square!
  8. ! Yep,those, and the titanium ashtray and my Garage Slow-As dipstick(it's got 20 thou' shaved off...) are keepers!!
  9. I'm sure he was meaning 'Hatsu" as in Di"HATSU"...LOL!! A nice Japlish word that befits the Mighty Lemon! Me;I'd agree-any Skyline is good! At the top of my list? Well,I own it! If money were no issue,I'd have the mac-daddy of them all:Maclarens' F1. Alongside it? A Z Tune AND my l'il R32! Seriously;I'll never sway from the Worlds best allrounder!
  10. Refer original post...R32 GTR...
  11. I believe so:I'll check...Even if they do,you'll be wasting quite a bit of go-juice if everything else isn't tweaked accordingly!
  12. A quick heads up to ACT SAU'ers-I thought I'd offer the first shot at a few bits that will be coming up for grabs in the not-too-distant future. This post should give you time to work out if you want anything, before I go and sell stuff on eBay... Coming soon:used standard R32 GT-R bits:pistons, rods, injectors, fuel pump, rear calipers and disc rotors, turbos(still deciding if they'll get sold with a G.C.G. test sheet/seal of approval...),air flow meters, camshafts, radiator, oil pump, water pump,coilpacks,old-school HKS boost contoller and probably a few more bits yet... This gear will come off in a few months time, but I don't want people saying "oh,I'll take part xxx" now then mumbling something further on down the track that they don't need them...after I've chased off other buyers. I haven't worked out what I'll start asking for,but seeing as local pickup and payment will be slightly easier than eBay auction,it'll be cheaper to you lot than whatever I start the eBay bidding at! P.M.'s are good;first in,best dressed! Jayce.
  13. Well,despite being "quoted" as the same 206Kw,the 32,33 and 34 all have different torque figures...So the 206 Kw figure was merely there only as the Japanese "gentleman's agreement" between manufacturers. A quick summary of standard GT-R trim models: 32 GT-R:206Kw/353Nm 33 GT-R:206Kw/629Nm 34 GT-R:206Kw/392Nm So,one could assume the Kw figures aren't really relevant(torque wont go up without some sort of jump in Kw's...) So,B;am I not worthy? Not quite;there's been the odd Porsche special in there,BUT the GT-R(32,natch') did hold the record for a proportionately long time... Oh,one for those who like figures...GT-R models refered to 32:weight 1480Kg,7.18Kg/Kw 33:1530Kg,7.43Kg/Kw 34 1540Kg,7.48Kw/Kg 0-100: 32 4.73 sec's 33 4.94 34 4.92 400m: 32 13.02 sec's 33 13.19 34 13.13 So,in conclusion...ah,no point rubbing it in!
  14. Slicks may be available to the highest bidder soon...only joking! Actually, they're proping up my 32,which shall be in hiding for a period of time. Once said period of time is up,feel free to come and see me;show'n'shine,or just go-time-then I'll add my real response to this poll...despite my (obvious) bias towards the 32 shape,we're all 'Liners,so:Subaru,Toyota,Holden,Ford,Mazda,BMW et all-you have been warned!
  15. G'day Mick! Unfortunately,Veilside and I could see nearly all of the actual tube under the car. I'm personally not a fan of neon on such a tough car,but it's not my ride, and car modification is such a personal thing...Maybe hide 'em a bit better? Yours rates as one of the best 33's I've ever seen, and this small blemish wont change that! Similarly, the 34 GTR that isn't RH9 but has a harlequin paintjob too;not my thing, but all in all a tough car(spotted it at Jerra's shops earlier today, too). Whereas the silver 34 GTR with the dished Jap' rims and tough 'zorst not on Saturday night in Braddon made me reach for a box of Kleenex...
  16. A top night had by all,I'd say! Good food, top company and too many cars to look at=a great time! Whilst there was a huge Police presence, they would have to have been the coolest, most friendly crew I've seen in Braddon ever. I'm sure a few deserving people felt the law at a few isolated times, but it was still flowing smoothly, without the forecast street closures, violence or hoons happening,by the time we departed(early morning). Thanks for those who attended;your honesty and help making sure the bill at Da Cellini's balanced out was appreciated, and having you there was even better! Those that either "pulled a heartstring",or got "inconvenienced" on the way there;too bad you didn't make it!
  17. Just called Da Cellini's-we're still good to go! See you all there!
  18. Rain, rain,go away...and let us watch the cars in the dry! I'm going to the restaraunt regardless, but I have to call to see if they can still seat us under cover outside or fit us inside... I'll be back to you all shortly...
  19. Just a little "heads up" for those that want to bring their 'Lines etc;there's a car park that's usually not noticed just behind Da Cellini's in a little laneway accessed from the Ford dealership side...Just have someone check if there's space b4 driving in-it's a pig to turn around in if it's full!
  20. Hahahahahaha! LMAO! "The 'Hatsu"! Now I feel like Andrew has a proper Japanese car, even when it's only a Charade! A nice "japanese" spin the way that "'Rana" is Aussie for...well,you all know what I'm getting at...
  21. Bugger;woulda been good to catch you up again,Al! Have fun at P.I.-hope the weather holds out! I was racing at the time, which is more important to me than answering my phone...which is why I have "message bank"-to leave a message! And you're right:too late now! Meh... Yep;pretty much it from SAU,including ib6ub9! Got a few car enthusiast friends tagging along,too...

  23. Those who can remember all the way back to 2005 may have memories of a dinner we had in Braddon on the Friday night. Obviously, this was to take in the fumes etc of the 'Nats cars. Well,it's on again this year, but there's a catch! YOU have to organise to get yourself there etc! Last year,I wound up paying about $80 out of my own pocket to meet the shortfall,so this year,E. and me will be having smaller table numbers to be more "financially manageable" on my wallet. At the mo',there's a table of 6 and a table of eight, both outside,at Da Cellini's restaurant at the roundabout,Lonsdale Street. The only SAU'er that got to me before I posted this was Amaru-his seats are catered for! So,as time is VERY short-a public display of hands up,and I'll organise you all some seating. Post NOW,as I'm calling them tomorrow night to confirm numbers! Go on....whadda ya waiting for?!?
  24. A scientist, who was successful in cloning himself, was asked to speak at a national scientific convention of cloning. The meeting room was located on the 45th floor of a skyscraper. The scientist arrived with his clone and he proceeded to the podium, while the clone sat at the end of the head table. The scientist began the speech intending a tribute to the advances in the field of modern biology. "My fellow scientists," he began. But before he could utter another word, the clone sprang to his feet and shouted out,"He's an asshole!". The crowd began to murmur as the scientist commanded the clone,"Sit down and shut-up!" Apologizing for the interruption, the scientist began again,"My fellow scientists ..." Again the clone sprang to his feet and yelled, "This dumb ass couldn't produce a copy on a Xerox. He's a fraudulent son-of-a-bitch!" Incensed, the scientist rushed to the clone, grabbed him. and threw him out of the window. A short while later the police arrived and were told of the events that had transpired. The police chief thought about it for a while, and finally said to the scientist, "We are going to have to arrest you." The shocked scientist replied, "For what? I have committed no crime. What fell from the window was a clone, not a person." The attending scientists nodded in agreement. "Well," retorted the police chief, "we cannot let this heinous act go unchallenged. We are holding you for making an obscene clone fall ..."
