  1. And therein lies the problem:what is it that we're all after? Me;GT-R all the way,BUT I have another daily driver(or two, plus a mudderboike). If you don't mind all the undue attention from the Rozzers and low-lifes(ie:are you game to leave an R34 unattended),then the GTR may be OK. The 350Z is a beautiful car that would be a much nicer daily driver, and can handle a blat at the track now'n'then. It's been said that the two are about the same purchase price for the original poster of this thread:your call, but I know where I'd plonk the dollars if they were the same price...then fork out $1000 for a P.O.S. to daily drive otherwise!!
  2. Autostyle are well known for their "twin/split" headlights on their demo 32's...Could be worth a call?
  3. For those that haven't seen it yet,the latest HPi mag' is about to be on your Newsagents' shelves:BUY IT pronto! It's a GT-R special(so I'm in heaven...)and if you go straight to page 20,most will instantly recognise the featured car. There's heaps more in the issue, including the SAU day at WSID from a few months ago. A very good issue!
  4. Thanks for that! Now I can say, with some authority...RETARD! Got everything he deserved. I was waiting for the engine to go "BANG" while it was sitting there on the limiter...
  5. Spotted a white 33 GTS-T w/FMIC following me from Queanbo to Bungendore on Friday morning. thought they were going to the trackday,as we stayed together out of B'dore, but they turned off at the last Estate on the way out of town...
  6. mjfawke is right:if it was a laser reading, not radar, your goose is cooked(ie:you're farked). Don't bother fighting it-I just did a tech' night with the Police, and if it was the laser system,it's acurrate to 1.61 km/hr...which they round up to 2 k's...so,unless you're confident you were doing less than say 5k's over, which it doesn't sound like, quit while you're ahead and fork it over...sorry!
  7. Nup..I'd already been and gone!
  8. Sorry Gus-mo,but I'll only be there for 1/2 of the day,and it's too much arsing about organising passengers... Yep,it's something else! Nik's one of the lucky few to hear said exhaust note...and still be able to hear afterwards!
  9. As Camma said,I'm going along for a quiet lap or three...Actually,it may not be so quiet;anyone remember my 32 before it had the road legal exhaust fitted? Maybe, just maybe,I might have the full Nismo system on it come Friday...Anyone want blown eardrums?!?
  10. I,for one,am gonna miss that car. It's just me,gettin' all misty eyed, when I say some things just go together:Beer and hangovers, the inevitability of death and taxes,Skylines and good times,KY jelly and...oh,sorry.Where was I?Oh,and Andrew, pink shirts and the R33. Still, onwards and upwards(and back and forth if we're all good Churchgoers,LOL)-maybe a Nur Spec R34 will take A.'s mind off his loss... Or maybe...
  11. Oops! Sorry,Shell-I had it in my mind that yours was white! So...who is this mystery R33 lady then, hmmm?
  12. Almost forgot:saw Aurora on Limestone Av',Friday morning, taking some "improvised race lines" on the way to work. Car sounded goooood!
  13. I'm out for this Tuesday night;got a car to tune...
  14. I'm definately out for the drive:my brother's 30th has been put back a weekend-so,in a nutshell,I'm screwed...Have fun,those of you that are going!
  15. Yes,it's true;the GTR was actually out driving in less-than-average weather conditions -and it looked OK earlier this morn'...Where were ya,Mark? I missed seeing you(obviously). Spotted a heap of 'Lines today-gotta a wave from a dark blue 4 door R34 GT,black R33 GTS(with a GTR badge on the grille-c'mon guys:be proud of what you drive!)with cool 5 spoke rims and a neat white R33 GTST(pretty female driver-Shell,perhaps?)all around the Lanyon Marketplace area. Good to see you all, whoever you are!
  16. $1.49 for Ultimate last night in miserable Canberra. The darkening cloud of Johnny Howard and the Consumer Watchdog idiots looms closer. Meh,I really don't mind;unless I'm sinking the slipper hard into the loud pedal, the car does alright on fuel consumption...that,and I've got a cheap run-around Liberty with 449,000 km's(really!)to ease the pressure on the GTR! Besides, the 32 really only cops a hiding(and hands one out)at the track-street racing? Not for me...
  17. Spotted Scooby on Parkes Way,driving to work, maybe,on Wednesday morning. If anyone wants a good definition of either "stealth","menacing" or "iron fist, velvet glove",take a look at this particular GTR-NIIIIIIICE!
  18. If I had 84K,I'd be all over this thing like a rash on a Priest...Order me a carton of Kleenex, thanks! (Those that doubt my sense of taste, merely consider the PERFORMANCE of this weapon....)
  19. Yep;"full house RB" being prepared... I'm not sure,but 6K to 7K would be acceptable,IMO
  20. I also know of an RB26DETT in standard trim that's for sale. It can be viewed and driven in it's current "home",an R33 GTR,for about the next 3 weeks before it comes out of the car. I believe it's got about 60K km's on it,and should be the right price...
  21. Top call!!   (and I really liked your Scooby,too...ah,memories!)
  22. Was Mick polishing your car with hemorrhoids cream?!?
  23. I'll personally vouch for this car (if my word has any weight to it,LOL) for anybody interested in a SERIOUSLY good buy! I'll miss it when, not if,it sells...sniff!
  24. And I want proof too,mpp!
