  1. Ah,yes;PowerPlay. The people that blessed us with the first R34 GTR in Oz(history lesson for all you youngin's!).I've already contacted them:they're looking for me,but I may well be onto the "real deal" from Japan via some super investigating by two.06l(Stacey and Paul from Dirt Garage). This looks to be my best way to get the Brides into my baby:unfortunately, the Recaro bases wont work-already checked that one! Thanks for thinking of it,anyway!
  2. Or maybe we could remember that ancient Oriental chant that goes something like..."The path of da Skyline is beset with peril by the injustices of the speed camera & da tyranny of learner drivers. Blessed is he who shats on da HSV through the valley of hair pin turns, 4 he is truly his cars tuner & the finder of lost power & I shalt strike down with great boost & furious acceleration on whoever doth attempt 2 obstruct or delay my overtaking & u shalt feel da wrath of my turbocharged engine when I lay my tread marks upon thee"...with slight apologies to Samuel L. Jackson...
  3. Hi and welcome!Whilst we were all on about a photoshoot until it all went off topic, maybe jump on to the http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=52742 or the http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=52742 to say g'day? Or stay tuned as a photoshoot(which will mean everyone meeting up and cruising, anyway)will come to fruition shortly!!
  4. Only grab their numberplates?Awww, that's only half the fun! But,yes,we SHOULD show restraint-keep a cool head-Karma(and the funstoppers)will get 'em in the end!
  5. Scary AND stupid! I've dropped lines to all you've mentioned:so far,no reply has been had-I think I sent the emails out on Wednesday...Still,thanks for the heads-up:I'm getting there when it comes to finding these damned rails... P.S.:Good to meet you this eve' at the local watering hole!
  6. I say let Nature take it's course:the stupid will kill themselves off....
  7. Isn't it amazing how quick we are to jump on to freebies?!
  8. Hahahahaha! LMAO!!!! I can understand how some people think my baby is merely a urban myth, but she DOES exist...I believe a few of the Canberra/Queanbeyan SAU'ers may even have vague memories of seeing her a long time ago.Sorry:been too protective! But she WILL be out on da prowl now daylight savings is here(despite the heeeooooge bugs that splatter everyones rides in the warmer weather).Summer=cruising and hanging out, winter=cold weather=MORE BOOST!!
  9. I only just realised I think I've got your useless prey identified:if it's who I think it is,I'll be giving him max. grief shortly! He shoulda known better! He's a mate that works in one of the competitions' bike shops...oh,this'll be sweet!I'll make sure I rub it in like Tiger Balm to an open cut for ya!
  10. Hi Gus!Yep,we dropped in for some food and a part for the fast Subaru(the GT,as opposed to the daily driver Liberty, which does 0-100 in 48 hours...).I hadn't been to the Hyper 'D'/Hyperbone/Hypermoan for ages-I actually forgot you may've been working, sorry!Aren't Friday nights a b**ch?I remember you posted about getting a new job-where are you at,again?Must be my failing old-man's memory!
  11. How dumb am I?(Don't answer that,Amaru/Aurora!!)I even saw the Qld plates...Sorry!Shoulda remembered!I think I was just happy to see it!Happy to hear she was put to good use;did you suprise anyone with how fast a funny looking almost-Volvo can really go?!
  12. Spotted HEAPS of 'Lines this eve:mighta has something to do with the Friday night cruise that was organised!!Felt a bit soft, not having my ride out.Got to see Sinista up close(at last),hear Amaru's new clutch make all those good noises, met SkylineBabe(Hiya Cassi!),observed 377_kwGTS(or however it goes, sorry!no disrepect,I've just had a memory blank...)-the cool orange GTS-T-get all sideways under boost-impressive sounding ride, some more GTS'(white, silver, red and yellow),a black 34 GT-T,a Stagea(yay! Was that you,Jay?)parked behing our Forester GT...And either Nugget or Stirlo's GTR:couldn't quite see it for long enough to work out.A whole heap goin' on tonight!
  13. D'ya think?!Why the hell do you think I'm posting to try and get some new rails?!Please don't tell me you've just worked this out...
  14. Yes,the Bride seats bolt perfectly to the Bride rails. But the Bride rails bolt not-so-perfectly to nothing in particular-the R32 GTR's original rail width is wider than a Bride rail setup. So,no;it wont work fine if I want to actually fit them into the car...I'm not drilling dodgy holes through my floorpan(into who-knows-what expensive piece of equipment on the other side)and running a couple of nuts and bolts to hope it'll all hold together if a big "off" occurs...which has been suggested by some of lesser intelligence!Hence why I started this thread.I don't want to know about Recaro's,or race-stlye bolting to floorpans(thanks for the PM,but no)-I just wanna make my Brides fit PROPERLY!!Do I sound frustrated yet?!? The only light at the end of the tunnel is the excellent team of Stacey(two.06l) and Paul at Dirt Garage have been looking into this properly and may've stumbled onto some correct rails in Japan. Here's hoping!
  15. I visit soooo many websites in the hunt for information and inspiration,it's only natural that I'll run into sites with only Japanese text.I'm really computer illiterate:can I download something that supports Japanese text?Or just duck down to the local 'puter supplier and buy something from Mr B. Gates that'll work straight away? For other applications, people have said "oh,just go to so-and-so's site and download this program",but it never seems that easy.Either I never find it,or the download is full of spyware,or....I'd be flat out telling you what sysem I'm on,or what a "codec" is. Anyone want to tell me the most reliable way of viewing these pages?Oh,I already tried AltaVista's Babel Fish-it doesn't work on half the pages I want a look at.I want a program!!
  16. Ah,I wont ask you how you went, then!
  17. Holy defectable tyres,Lycraman!Pardon the pun, considering the last few day,but when it rains,it pours!Typical gutless scumbags defecting a car without the owner in sight:it's something I fear a great deal.Where can you go for said "full inspection"?Does it HAVE to be Dickson?Anything we can do to help?As for the g/f prob's...errr...unless you're really hoping for it,no baby is a good baby, and the big "C" is the hardest thing I've been (not personally) exposed to over the years:hope THAT doesn't come back positive in any tests.Call out if ya need anything!
  18. I can't see why I can't join in the line up-let me know timing + anything "special" you need us to do(I do own a suit or two,but I'm all out of earpieces and those horribly Police attention grabbing fake handguns...LOL).I may still have the car in pieces(Auto Salon Final Battle is calling...),but I reckon I'll be good to go!Fuel money not required:I'm happy to cruise!
  19. Ah,I thought I'd run into some interesting times! Thanks for the heads-up on UP Imports;I've already emailed them, just waiting to hear what they have to offer...I also dropped a line to Powerplay Imports-they've already got back to me to say they're investigating further...
  20. Hi all.Just picked myself up some brand new Bride seats. The big problem I've got is that they didn't come with adapter rails for my R32 GTR...Luckily,they're narrower in "track width" than my current seats, but I really want "proper" rails,as I'll have to get them engineered, not to mention the likelyhood of bodged up rails coming apart in the event of a major, high speed(is there any other speed?!) shunt... I can't remember the measurements/differences in widths right now:I'll be back to the garage to remeasure accurately soon.Has anyone got experience with fitting these things up CORRECTLY?All help and experience appreciated!

  22. Ah,my bad!I was generalising 'bout Rexies;thought it may get the point accross! You're spot on 'bout the RS:I'd love to have one as my daily driver! Spotted SxyGTST parked in "Queenbo's" main street this afternoon. Also saw a marone GTR parked across the road from Audiotech in Tuggers when the soundoff comp' was on:three spoked rims with a few V Spec bodykit bits added on:looked good!
