Sorta related to the unfortunate loss of life(and bad PR cars like all of ours will again receive)that we've witnessed on the news,my two cents worth is this:I've got a fast, reasonably recognisable(to most non-Skyline enthusiasts)car. Most morons recognise the badge on it's rear as they pull up to the lights next to me as a challenge.I also know I'll hand most their butts back to them on a plate if I had to.But I'd rather quietly roll off the lights instead of race them;I've got nothing to prove, and everything to lose. The only time I'll rise to the challenge goes something along the lines of this: Idiot:"Wanna race?",Me:"Sure.Your choice-Eastern Creek,Oran Park or Wakefield.Tell me what day and I'll be there." Idiot:"Nah,I meant a drag." Me:"Oh,O.K. Even though this car isn't set up for dragging,I'm game.Eastern Creek again,or were you thinking W.S.I.D.,maybe?" Idiot:"Nah,when the light goes green..." Me:"Get back to me when the drugs wear off..." Point is,street racing can, does and will get people killed,as evidenced on the news.I'm sure it provides a few grins, and I'm guilty of having the occassional stab here and there(I actually feel a bit dumb about that little effort in Belconnen not so long ago...),but FFS,ease up.Poor people in Melbourne:I know how hard that kind of funneral is...

Yup!That'd work for me!And probably everyone,'cept maybe Amaru (low blow, dude,I know-but it'll be back meaner than ever once it's done!I have faith in ya!).
-
Hiya Nugget_GTR!Good to have yet another 'Line on the forums!Keep an eye out for a "get together" cruise:it'll be good to catch up with all these new Skylines!Oh,yeah-R32 GTR?Sweeeeeet!(Ya could say I'm biased...)
-
I know where there's a 2540,but I reckon that'd be lag city on an RB20...Try Nengun!!!
-
I'll be "in" for almost anytime other than the 16th/17th of this month-I'll be at the spiritual homeland that is Phillip Island!Go Rossifumi!Maybe once daylight saving is upon us a 6pm,midweek cruise or something?Oh,and just to whet your appetites, the photoshoot location hunt is progressing nicely for Photos,Part II...
-
Hiya OZ'!Glad to have another 'Line on line!
-
As much as I love(LOVE) my GTR,I'd say don't do one as a daily driver...just ask Amaru! It's almost the same as having a Ferrari as the daily work hack-only if you're rich or looking to keep your bank manager in his/her mansion.Go the GTS-T :easier to insure, easier to live with, more fun 'round town, less likely to get unwanted attention...Either way,I'd say invest in the house, and later on you CAN get the car of your dreams-the house will help with that!Trust me on this one! P.S.-don't(and that's a LARGE "don't")trust the dealer across the road from Canberra Times with the GTR...call this "helpful advice" from an R32 GTR nut...
-
LMAO!Geez, mine's sending me broke and it isn't even busted!!Still,it'll be worth it!
-
Likewise,I've seen this pretender! He works with a mate of mine in Fyshwick. It's a reasonably good mock up of a GTR-got the guards'n'all!Pity he's missing the heart...I guess to most it looks like the real deal.I guess as long as he's happy thinking he's got people fooled. But we know better!Wonder if I should drive there one day to "pick his brains" on his "V Spec II"?!Or would that just be petty?Still,he's been "spotted",nonetheless.

Stoopid qwestshun:wasn't gun metal grey, was it?

Nengun purchasing-good or bad?
LTSJayce replied to LTSJayce's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Being that it was me that started this whole thread off,I'd just like to report the my brand new HKS 2530's just rolled up,a mere 13 days after leaving Nengun/Brent's caring hands.Absoutely outstanding service AND price!Once the "Obon" festival thing was over and done with,he obviously wasted no time getting my turbos to my doorstep.I can guarantee all listening that I'll buy again from Nengun with full confidence!!Flat out F*#%IN' sensational!!Whadda ya reckon-am I stoked,or what!?! -
AAAArrrrgh!Only Whytry would understand how bad I wanted to be there!Same deal:damned work got in the way.And the next day on the 9th will be no different.Bloody Saturdays:working in retail means a one day weekend! Still, maybe it's a good thing:as I play "hunter/gatherer" for parts,I am getting more knowledge that makes me think I really should add a few bits before my next trackday... Still;I hate not getting "out there" even for some "gentle" laps....

Spotted a silver R33 GTS(-T?) prowling/growling around Jerra' shops-anyone here?ACT plates: ***-89A?Sounds good!Looked standard(read:neat),'cept for said 'zorst and a gauge mounted near the A-pillar...
-
Ah,Grasshopper! One is very curious of the results when one speaks of these mythical beings:"camshafts",you call them?!Y Yeah-keen to see what a difference they'll make:should be VERY noticable, from what I hear...And don't panic about the twin plate:you can get your own back laughing at my a** once mine has the triple plate AP Racing fitted up...
-
Hi Meshmesh. EXACTLY what I wanted to hear:that set up is where my car is heading...
-
The idea behind more "litre-age" is the oil "works" less, therefore stays cooler...plus there's a greater volume in the sump at any given time, therefore less likely to "run dry" momentarily...I'll be running an oil cooler, too,so I'm just covering all bases.Don't want to fork out for a second rebuild! I guess I'll owe you beers/favours,being that your car is being the test mule when it comes to injectors! So you're thinking the Sards will be OK?
-
Hey all. I've heard conflicting (annecdotal) evidence 'bout both high flow sumps with "windage" trays and injectors.I know one V.nice R32 GTR in our area that has an aftermarket sump(brand?I can't remember)that had problems with the physical depth of the thing grounding out.Others have a rep' for having the baffles that'll only work in a straight line(i.e.:drag racing).I need extra capacity and baffles to stop oil starvation for track use...any ideas? Equally,I'm looking at putting injectors of the 700cc range.I hear from various trustworthy sources that my Power FC wont like certain types of injectors(Sard comes to mind-something about weird impedence rates?)...Likewise:any info'?
-
You should thank Tridentt150v for the photo I've attached:he's "painted" your front 'bar for you already!!
-
Hey Johnny-I'll echo Tridentt150v and SkylineGal's comments-don't let the goons get ya down!Personally,I would've liked to have seen more 31's AND 30's!Did you see that red two door featured in Zoom 'bout 6 months ago? What a weapon!Don't be worried 'bout what your ride is:as long as it's a 'Line,I sure as hell don't care!Even then,ANY well turned out car is good in my eyes!I know that sounds easy for me to say,but every car I've owned I've looked after and had pride in it!
-
I'll be "in" for almost anytime,'cept Wednesday 13th to Wednesday 20th...There's this l'il Italian fella riding at Phillip Island that I'm riding down to cheer on(I'd cheers for Mr Bayliss, too, but he's right off the pace this year...sob).So most other weekends are "game on" for me! I'll be out hunting out new photo locations and lighting situations over the next few weeks;I might even post a few photos to see what y'all think!
-
Cops mightn't know what's legal and what isn't,but ANYTHING changed from the factory is enough for you to get sent "over the pits"-and THAT'S what you should fear most!Be nice to the Police-98% of them are top blokes that are just doing their jobs-I know I've been let off numerous times for not being a smarta**e/admitting that I was doing wrong... Seriously, you can get sent a defect for simple things like:non-standard fittment tyres,a tissue box on the rear parcel shelf(THAT ticks even me off...),an aftermarket stereo installation,a seat cover...and the list goes on!SO:see an engineer, don't try and slide anything past them OR the Constabulary if you get ''yanked'',and just be happy that we're all driving nicer cars than most... I've seen some pretty full-on rides that have been 100% certified. My l'il beastie is already well engineered;when it's fully done,it'll be a MUCH harder hitter,AND it'll be legal!!
-
Ah,yes!There was a white R34 GT(-T?)for a short period of time...
-
Well,it was a good weekend, huh?! I've just got my "normal" celuloid(nothing like "cellulite"!)photos back, but they didn't come out quite as well as I planned-I think I may've had old film taht may've been exposed to heat,or maybe it was just :thumbdwn: crap film that I'd forgotten I'd put in...bah! Still,I got a few more photos "blanked out" before my program shut down for the last time( ),so I've saved what I've already done and will get the rest onto someone who knows more than me(which is almost anyone...)to see if we can't get more stuff posted! From a photographic point of view, light and location were adequate, but I know I ccan do better;leave it with me for a while, and 'll do some scouting around before declaring "Photoshoot Part II" a goer! It was great to put new faces to names-Trident drove 2 hours from Tumut, didya know?!?And SkylineGal is a cool lady with a cool car!I know some had to leave early:WhyTry(self induced head injury-read:ultimate late night!),GZ R33(what a sweet ride!),and the only R34 on the cruise...still,glad you all made it in the first place! And the same for everyone else! I probably should've NOT shot Veilside R33's damaged front bar( )or SkyGTRline's "bad side",but I was in a bit of a rush-lack of planning on my behalf(I can hear it now: :usuck: ...)Sorry!Maybe a photoshop Guru can make amends for my stuff up?!? Anyway,it's time to get ready for work...J!
-
And another one...
-
Ha!Now I know that last one worked(it did work, didn't it?):try some of these! My photoshop program doesn't seem to "like" certain pictures-it shuts itself down-so some of us,me included, aren't included...YET.Anyhow,let me know what you think!Jayce
