  1. RB25 in a GTR?Sure about that?
  2. Spotted:yellow R34 GT/GT-T,coming out of Kaleen Sunday Arv' to drive up Ginanderra Drive.No rear wing,white rims(ummm...not my style),jap-style angled muffler.Anyone here?
  3. Cool-I'll send you a PM to organise.I know when I was getting my engineer's report,it was a good thing said placard was still there!
  4. Tried that:came up with 5th June-which has already gone...Did I miss something?Or did I not see an upcoming date?Keeeen for a lap or 20!
  5. Hmmmm...now,let's see:it may cost you a few extra dollars a week to keep your ride running smoothly and efficiently,as the maker intended OR be tight and possibly cost yourself a full engine rebuild/engine swap.Even if it's NOT your pride and joy, don't take the short route! If it costs,as a guesstimate, between 2 and 5 grand to do said engine out 'cause you were scrimping on your fuel, buy a second car you don't need to run good juice in!!!I know my GTR would pitch both of us over a cliff if I took shortcuts...
  6. I'm bang up for it,relatively standard car or not!I know my GTR ain't the quickest thing around, but I'll be there for the Nissan side!As long as it's a Sunday(damn retail workplaces!)....
  7. Thanks for the offer, but I will head for a new one!It might just be me wasting money, but there's a good feeling I get with new stufff!
  8. Hiya Funky M! A world of knowledge, you are-it's refreshing to see someone has the facts....What made the V-Spec II stand out from a 'Spec I?I was also led to believe there was more than 50 of them. Can you still work out a vehicles' history off it's numbers?I'd love to know more about mine(R32 GTR),that's all...Cheers,J.
  9. Try www.musecret.com.au -they're advertising heaps of Volk/Rays stuff.I don't know if they're the actual distributor, but they might put you on the right track,at least!J.
  10. I just removed the Earls lines from my R32-didn't have the little A.D.R. clamp/stamp/thingo to get them certified. These lines were fitted in Japan before the car was imported.I've now had Goodridge lines with upspec'd fluid done-$550 fitted and right to go(although it was sorta "mate's rates" via the awesome crew at Neal Bates Automotive in Canberra...).Talk to an engineer-any line that is certified will have a sleeve with a cetain number to say they're fine(I think there's two different numbers-either will pass A.D.R.'s).So,my Earls weren't legal, but whoever brings them into Oz may be able to sell you a certifiable set....Worth the hassle,I say!
  11. Hiya.Anyone want to add their 2 cents/5 dollars worth:APEXi's Power FC-who has had one tuned, either to their satifaction or not?I'm hearing most are paying for around 5 hours dyno time, plus the cost of the unit, plus installing. It'll be going into an R32 GTR,if that makes any difference.I'm positive that it's worth it,but I'd like to hear more from you all. Also, how's $1600 for both the FC and the hand contoller sound?Seems pretty good to me at the mo'... P.S. We all need more track time,methinks....
  12. [quote GTS_DUY. On another note, and this could be just me being mega paranoid (so shout me down if I'm being dumb ) but I'm not sure we should post spotteds of cars which are parked for extended periods. E.g. posting a spotted about a car of the guy who lives down the road or whatever. I guess I just don't want some wanker combing the forums to get good spots for targets... I'm agreeing with GTS_DUY-maybe only mentioning short term parked cars will lower the attention given by lower life forms...like car theives, bad police(there are so some good ones out there!)etc,etc....
  13. Had a look at a bunch of cool cars at Wakefield yesterday, but had to leave early-damned Goulburn weather!Just wanted to say thanks to Goran & Melissa for waiting for us leaving Natex/Epic servo!
  14. Anyone know who wrote/published this "Sky's the Limit" book?I'm trying to find it everywhere, but coming up blank everytime...
  15. Ah,justice at last! We're a long way from balancing the fight against the revenue raisers, but I've always wondered when someone would try something like that!Props to whoever had the brass ones to try it in the first place!Sorry, but I haven't seen any more "black outs"....yet!
  16. Standing ovation!Mate, that's gotta be THE most devoted set of fingertips to have tapped all that out! With all sincerity, thankyou for taking the time to look into the GTR's earliest days! Now all I need to do is find someone who has the same level of knowledge and dedication to write about the roadgoing R32 GTR and it's various developments and incarnations!
  17. No worries!I'll admit to being soft-if it looks dodgy, weather wise,I'll leave it for another time, but going off the local report,it looks like I'll be meeting you all tonight. One of the members mentioned some fun with the constabulary last week-what went down?
  18. Hi!Looks like I've been spotted "for the very first time"!I'll 'fess up:GTR 94V is my baby...Can't say I know who the 3000GT was,but if the Supra was purple,it's a mate's 2JZ NA '96;if it wasn't purple,then I dunno who it was!J.
  19. Seen it parked many a time at Jerrabomberra pub/club/tavern thingo...Someone there will probably know him. He's an older guy-prob. 30-35;saw him at Shell Fyshwick. The car goes pretty hard,too....
  20. Cool if a prospective member comes for a look?Still Regata Point at 9?There may be a smattering of Subaru's following me there,if that's OK...
  21. Thanks for the heads-up,TomR33,but the few links that will actually open just come up with a heap of heiroglyphics...I'm not that computer savy,so I may be missing something.Anyone got any ideas?J.
  22. I had both gearbox and diff' oil changed to Redline in my previous car(VL Turbo),and it was a very noticable improvement over the "good gear" I'd been running...I'll recommend it until something better comes out!My V Spec is getting a drink of the Redline variety tomorrow,in fact!I was put onto it by Mr. Donnon and Ellis,if that gives you anything to go by.Gatty,I got mine through Rare Spares/Auto1 in Phillip,A.C.T.-friendly service and fast to get it in-after I did a search for "Redline shockproof" on Google. You'll find a list of distributors on there somewhere!
  23. Thanks, skylinegeoff, for the offer!I've already got the workshop manual, and the parts info on the 33 is far removed, body wise, from the 32(which is the main stuff I need to know). Thanks anyway!Anyone else help me out?
