thanks. i got the cable now anyway and i can put it into base idle adjustment very easily now. thanks. you seem like you know heaps about these cars so i'll try you, when my car gets really warm (not hot but full running temp) it feels like it gets a bit sluggish around 2000-3500 rpm. i hear it boost like normal but it just doesn't kick like when it's warming up. i mean like a quarter of the temperature guage as i never go past about a quarter throttle until the needle is a bit above cold. do you have any ideas? it doesn't sound like i'm leaking boost. info: stock internals as far as i am aware. (previous owner didn't say much) r33 turbo and an unknown branded stainless steel dump. dump back 3 inch exhaust (hollow cat i think) codes i get from the ecu: knock sensor circuit, a/t signal (or something like that) it's a manual car though and i'm pretty sure it's factory manual.

already bought one of his cables only realised just then when i opened the package that it came with a cd of software. how sweet it is to get more than you were expecting. on a side note, you reply to many of my posts with helpful answers. I appreciate it. some people just love to make others feel like crap but not you! thanks.

i would have happily paid for it but i couldn't find anywhere to buy software from. turns out the cable i'd purchased came with calumsult ecutalk and scantech and free conzult. very happy with that. about to try it out now.

is there a topic anywhere where people have posted the ways to manually get into heaps of different modes on different stock ecu's? for example, i need the base idle adjustment mode for an r32 gts-t. what weird things do i need to do to get it into this? open and close the ash tray five times and say "there's no place like home?"

sometimes after starting my r32 gts-t i hear liquid splash around (sounds like it's in the dash but i'm sure it wouldn't be) is this my heater tap still open and coolant splashing into my heater box? only happens sometimes. thanks

does anybody know how to make the ecu enter base idle adjustment mode manually? i've heard unplugging the Throttlebody Position Sensor (TPS) and revving over 2000 3 times will enter it but how will i know i'm in when i try? anyone done it without a laptop putting the ecu in the mode? thanks

it runs from the intake manifold to the blow off valve, right? that is the intake's way of telling the blow off valve when shit's getting serious and to remain closed. if you unplug that line i would guess whenever you achieve boost you will hear the bov whistling and releasing your hard earned boost. don't know how much you know about turbos and how the whole system works but i would also say the wastegate might open a bit later due to the lower pressures in your intake piping from the bov leak. if this happened, your turbo would spool harder so i wouldn't suggest it. you don't know when a turbo will let go. treat it like a bitchy woman... Treat it nicely and it will continue to blow for years to come

just bought one off of a friend for $100. just wondering, is each click + or - 1 psi? also, how hard would it be to get the spring in the actuator adjusted so it runs minimum only a few psi? and then have the higher stage set at 10? be a bit better for fuel economy? thanks

Hi all, my mate has an R32 GT-R and i have a GTS-T. he has aftermarket suspension and said i can have his stock gt-r suspension. is this a direct swap? i am an apprentice mechanic so i have access to hoists at work. is it hard to do or straightforward?

IT STUFFED UP! I WROTE SO MUCH AND LOST IT ALL! here goes for re writing it all... I've had trouble with my fuel guage reading and i've had my fuel pump in and out a bit lately to replace the fuel level sender. This has brought to my attention, my perished fuel lines. i'm a first year apprentice mechanic so hopefully these questions don't sound too stupid. Are the fuel lines one piece of hose running from the fuel pump right to the fuel rail, only split for the fuel filter? and also, does it run from the top of the tank down the back and underneath the car the whole way? and lastly, what is the best way to replace these lines? any help would be sweet. thanks in advance, Sam

so how might oneself go about correcting this issue with the ignitor? is it replaceable? or reconditionable? cheers

i've had a miss fire problem for months and just assumed coilpacks. hadn't even thought to change plugs. i'll just go copper so that's BCPR6ES right? RB20 running 7 PSI?i drive fairly tame 70% of the time. i bring it up on full boost probably only once or twice every drive. so that means i should go a hotter plug? or doesn't it really matter and i should just get the bcpr6es?

thanks but i can't find it anywhere by searching flutter. i would have thought if i love it, someone else would too! it's a wicked sound! so it is just a twin turbo fluttering?

i love this sound that GT-R's make. i can't find a name for it though? i think it is the boost escaping out of the pods and it changes note as it moves from pod to pod. i can keep it going for ages in my mates gt-r but i can't put a name to the sound. here is a video showing the sound fairly quietly. it's my comment asking about the sound at 3:42. it's actually more like 3:45 minutes so wait for it. thanks people!
