Hey RSX does that really work using the mount off an R31, I didnt bother and have got the measurements drawn up for a custom jobby. but if thats the trick wahoo. Another quick question did you do an aircon conversion and if so how much did it set you back. Oh and pwr steering did you use the old pump or go with the new one.

ah the MR30 i own is equiped with drum brakes on the rear. i am curious to know is this the case with all R30's because i am interested in doing a disc brake conversion once the RB25 is running?

forgot to say the only stumbling block was that the sump doesn't quite fit. turns out i have to cut the bowl and move it 2.5" forward (damn engine xmbr). which means i have to extend the oil pickup a little but its not a big problem.

fella's, i wrote a couple of months ago about an rb25de into an r30, well its in. almost. Had to use the mounts off an r31, not to be confused with the mounts off a VL (same engine different mounts). The engine fits nice. but the gearbox sits a little far back might have to cut the hole a little bigger and move the handbrake back about 3". Still have to have power steering pipes made up. Other than that things are looking pretty good.

Hows it going guys, just thought i'd let you know how my rb25 conversion was going. well the old engine came out pretty easy. Now im just searching for an R31 xmbr, mounts and brackets to bolt the RB25 too. everything else isnt going to bad, clutch master cylinder was simple bolt off bolt on. However with brake booster, you have to drill out the firewall a little to get the new one to fit. no biggy. other than that im now just trying to track down some magna discs and calipers because apparently they bolt up to skylines quite nicely (only r32's and onwards though). we'll see about that though.

thanks stu, with the aftermarket computer question, can you make a recomendation i hear the mircotech mtx8 isn't to bad. Apart from that does anybody know a good wrecker that might stock a dashboard for an 85 MR30?

stu, yeah that was at the top of the list of things to do. what i really needed to know is do i need to keep the array of sensors that come fitted to the R34.

good evening gentlemen. I am the owner of 1 1985 MR30 sedan that has just had the L24E and g/box removed to make room for an RB25DE, that i got off a wrecked R34 half cut. my question is which sensors do i need to keep in order for the engine to work?.
