get some 5mm slip ons, maybe an 8 or 10 for the front if you run a bit of camber, and see what you think. theyre pretty cheap from sprints, autobarn etc.
any more than an a 10mm slip on and you will wanna get some longer wheel studs
nah thats all there was. so maybe it means that if they impounded it then i would be issued the fine? if so then thats ok.
and dont worry brad, matty sherlock's gonna keep it in the sau family haha
So came home today to find this stuck to the windscreen of my charade. Its been parked out the front of my house for a couple weeks since I bought my corolla and theyre trying to tell me its been abandoned. I called them up trying to explain the situation and the rude woman wouldnt have a bar of it. I dont see how they can say parking a car outside youre own house for more than 48hrs can be called "abandoning" it. Now the car is unregistered and I realize its in offence to have an unregod car on the street (like the notice says) but Im unclear as to whether the fine is only attached to the abandonment part of the notice as it appears to be by the way its written. If so I think its worth challenging.
Thoughts?
theyll check the whole car over so remove anything else thats illegal (like the tint especially as theyll pic that straight away)
if some of the stuff isnt too obvious and the cars pretty clean overall then you can sometimes get away with leaving stuff in but if you dont think something will pass then remove it just to be safe. if it doesnt pass then you get given a list of stuff to fix and then when you go back a 2nd time, 9/10 they will only check the stuff on that list.
having a clean car with nothing obviously illegal will make things much easier
i think its more that there are so many hideously retarded looking 33s around (exhibit A) that it reflects poorly on those us that actually make our cars look half decent
