  2. Hey guys, Due to a change in plans my build has changed and all my brand new parts are up for grabs. I purchased all parts new less than 1 month ago. Tomei Type B Camshafts suit RB26 - $830 New HKS Cam Gears - $400 Pair of Garrett 2860-5 Turbos - $2300 Stainless Tomei Dump Pipes. These are the much sought after older style ones which are no longer made. They measure 72mm in diameter compared to the new style which are only 68mm - $720 Stainless HKS Front Pipe. These are just awesome. Beautifully made, the welds are on the inside for better flow. I beleive they are the biggest off the shelf front pipe you can buy measuring at 2x71mm and 85mm outlet which is a perfect match for the above dump pipes - $830 Aquamist HFS-3 Water Meth Injecton Kit. This is one of the best injection kits on the market with plenty of fail safes and a really good injection system - $900 ono. Mines Triple Flow Cam Cover Baffle Plates - $300 I'm located in Perth but will post at buyers expense. I'm a little negotiable on price. Thanks
  3. ^^^^^ Agree with what he said. Anything over 6000k is just stupid. I've got the latest 6000k Philips Hids in my R32 GTR and they are great. They have the slim ballasts and work very well, much better then the factory R32 GTR headlights.

  6. Good to hear and thanks for the info. It still amazes me how good most of the parts from factory on a GTR is still able to operate effectively even at much higher power levels. Thanks.
  7. Basically wondering if there would be any significant improvement going to a full hard piping kit over the rubber factory hoses for intercooler and/or intake. By improvement I mean would throttle or turbo response be better for it or an increase in power possibly? Car i'm thinking about installing it on is a 500 odd hp R32 GTR. Thanks
  8. Would a Tomei or Nitto pump push much more oil then an N1 pump? I've got an N1 on my 32R atm which is getting the bottom end freshened up, just wondering if there is any other advantages other then strength going to a more expensive pump. Will be pushing around the 500hp mark and I don't smash limiter. Thanks

  10. I have for sale a pair of R34 GTR turbos which were rebuilt 10,000kms ago with steel exhaust wheels. I still have the receipt for them which cost me $2500 to buy these turbos from JJ. They are in excellent condition ready to bolt onto R32, R33 and R34 GTRs. Turbos have very minimal shaft play. PM me to arrange inspection, to throw me an offer or to buy. Looking for $1200 but will take offers because these have to go! Selling sue to -5 turbo upgrade. Also I have a pair of R32 GTR dump pipes and R32 GTR front pipe for sale.   11. Quick question regarding the -5 turbos before mine gets tuned. What boost pressure on a rebuilt rb26 can the -5s max deliver before they start becoming inefficient? Car has all the supporting mods including B type poncams. Thanks

  14. My R32 GTR has problems selecting reverse sometimes. It just doesn't want to go in. If I move the car forward into a different position then reverse can be selected. Is this normal or does anyone know what the problem could be? CHeers
  15. I have decided to go with the Aquamist HFS-3 kit as it seems like the best suited kit for my application. Now a couple of questions, What size jets should I be looking at running? Hoping to get around 550hp with the injection on -5 turbos. What size tank would be best suited for someone who does 1 trackday a month (nothing competitive) and only drives the car on weekends (lucky to do 150ks a week)? The car is a 32 GTR. Any other bits that I will need that aren't included in the kit? Like 1/8"NPT tap for the jets or will most workshops have this as I will be getting a workshop to install the kit. Thanks

  17. Mine was low on boost big time. Was only seeing 8-9psi when it should have been 19psi. The car felt really slow and didn't want to rev through the rev range. Exhaust was quieter. Really only took me a few minutes to figure out that the cat was blocked. Bashed it out for a temporary fix and all was well. Didn't hear no ticking noise though.
  18. 1 drivers window switch and the climate control is SOLD. Located in Perth. 2nd power window switch has a couple of broken window button mounts. I replaced them with longer stainless steel screws so it holds onto the frame 100%. The damage is not visible when installed into your door trim and is 100% fine otherwise I wouldn't sell it. This is now - $50 posted. PM me for photos if I didn't explain it well. How does COD work mate? PM me if you want. Power FC D Jetro is on hold atm. Will update this thread if it sells or if it goes back up for sale. Thnaks Also have a Calibre Oil Catch Can in blue. Comes with attachment if you want to vent to atmosphere via filter.   19. To answer your question, stock exhaust manifold is fine, stock dumps are fine but change them only if you upgrade the turbos to see any real worthwile gain for the money. Port match your standard exhaust manifold to the turbos if you decide to upgrade them. After a lot of research and thinking I have personally chosen the -5 route over the -9s. The final decision for me was that the extra few hundred rpm that the -5s would take longer to come on over the -9s it would more than compensate for it in the top end. Considering I have a fairly fresh built forged bottom end, there was another tick in the box which helped me make my decision. The only thing i'm hoping and have tryed my best to eliminate by choosing the right parts/setup for when the turbos go on is the extra lag. I do understand these will be laggier than the steel wheeled 34r GTR turbos (380rwhp) i've got now but i'm hoping not by much. Hopefully next week or the week after I will have my 32r nistuned with the cams, dumps, front pipes, etc.. and the -5s installed with good results. I will post the dyno chart once it's all done.   20. Have done plenty of research now and I think it is great for what I'm after. Couple of questions: Where can i get methanol from and what is the best water/methanol ratio mix to go with? I have read of some people going 100% methanol but wasn't sure if this is correct and what's the difference of not mixing with water? What kits do you guys reccomend and any places locally that sell? I take it that you wouldn't need to worry about meth levels getting low on track days as it only uses small amounts? Any idea on how often you need to fill? That kit does look good sav man. I was looking at the Aquamist products as well so now I'm scratching my head on which kit to go for. Cheers

The reason I asked, I have about 8 carpark sized dents on my original bonnet (from hail storm damage here in Perth, it's the only damage on car thankfully) and thought that going carbon fibre would be a better option than repairing but obviously not considering no gains. Do you know if these dents can be removed from an alloy bonnet? Thanks
  22. I'm after a carbon fibre bonnet for my R32 GTR which is the same shape and style as the original. I like the standard look so vented bonnets are not an option. The bonnet will get sprayed the same colour as my car. Anyone know who or if anyone sells them? Thanks
  23. Thought I'd make this thread so that I can get as much info as I can to help make my decision. Basically looking at buying a water/meth setup for my R32 GTR and want as much info as possible to see if it is the right setup for me. I will be running -5 turbos on my forged bottom end with tomei type B poncams and full exhaust, intake, etc... on standard intercooler. Car is used only on weekends and track days. Please let me know your thoughts, info, opinions on going this route... Thanks
