Mmm sealed up the VAC leak and it still does it, I'll have to take a video to demonstrate what it's doing. Especially in first it climbs revs but doesn't really go anywhere, might have to watch the boost gauge next time but it just accelerates like an NA.

Cleaned out the AFM and changed the pod to something a bit newer and it has made it run a lot better but it does still stutter a little bit coming onto boost, will have a proper look at that vac leak tomorrow and hope that that fixes the problem. Cheers!

3 inch from turbo to cat, standard cat, 3.5 inch from catback, bov has been blocked off but it stuttered with standard big blocked or not

Really really need to give it it's first wash and take some high quality pictures but this weather is killing me lately..

Oh forgot to mention, it does have a full turbo back X-Force exhaust but it still has the stock Cat for some reason, could this be restricting flow at all? I don't think it would but I thought it'd be worth asking.

Will have a look at spark plugs but I'd imagine everything is just standard spec including the fuel pump, I'd imagine the stock fuel pump could handle 10psi but it is getting a bit old now I suppose.

I know there's a tiny leak in the vacuum hose that runs from the manifold to the rocker cover and that does effect idle from time to time, could that also effect coming onto boost?

Hey guys, Have a little problem with the latest Skyline I bought. Through any gear from 2500rpm till around 4500rpm it will stutter and make boost but bounce around 10psi up and down as if the power is switching itself on and off. I assumed it was the stock boost solenoid but that is looped and not connected to the wastegate (although still wired in through the plug). It does have a boost tee hooked up and runs 10psi after 4500rpm. Mods are full exhaust system and GReddy front mount but other than that nothing engine wise, I can't put my finger on why it's shuddering until the "supposed" boost solenoid would allow full boost. Cheers!

Further on from this I had a not at fault accident at the start of the year where both cars were write-offs. Because we both disputed the other party was at fault we had to draw up diagrams and our version of events. I sent it in the night I received the papers and it took the other party more than 2 months to send it in so meanwhile I was without a car and pay-out for quite some time. Food for thought.

All good I know it's cop bait but I wouldn't of gotten it if I didn't get the exemption, not concerned so much about cops though just insurance and they've said it's all good as long as Vicroads says so. Am loving it more and more everyday, lots of kinks to sort out engine wise though...

All good guys I've learnt my lesson with my first car the VLT, tried to do a loophole in the law and cop's let me off (Insurance was another story), got written off and found not at fault but scared the bajeezus out of me, now I have a work exemption to drive this so insurance is fine with that. Absolutely in love with this car I don't even care about the power it's just the sound for me I think, I've missed intercooled turbo's thats for sure Can't wait for a track day! I think what they say is right though you don't really learn until it happens to you or someone close to you, I came close enough for me to re-consider how I drive every second of every day. Edit: Have realised it's almost a twin of PM-R33 without the carbon mods and such he has.

Pretty damn woeful but it's not actually bolted down at the moment which makes the timber vibrate but not the actual car, nevermind though in the new skyline it will be done properly with this board. Does look much better when you pop the boot though, and the extra space is always good.
