  1. I've always wondered what the total cost of having your own jet fly somewhere long distance like that would be per flight
  2. Look out boys ceo 10k/day has arrived
  3. Dis ^ I've replaced the two sealed bearings in my 34 CAS. I couldn't give you the part number though sorry. I got the bearings from http://bearingwholesalers.com.au/ these guys though.
  4. Pretty sure they just make you return and do it again at a later time (after you get an exhaust that passes) Limit is 90dB
  5. I think my GTST was 1dB under legal limit.. and GTRs don't pass with their standard exhausts.. Crazy that :\
  6. Is that the fastest results have ever come out in DECAs history??
  7. Lol will never buy another Koyo.. Split down the centre and I cooked my engine, no thanks jeffrey!
  8. I'm not disliked in this forum so yes says this guy
  9. Found! Please close thread!
  10. Damnnn... said what we were all thinking
  11. Are you 100% sure on the heat exchanger? I've had it mixing on a car before and replaced the oring in the back (after you take off that 19mm bolt or whatever it is on the rear) and had no issues after.
  12. If only you had of applied the same to the rest of the parts! Brett this point is invalid because any other ECU can do this just fine, it's dependent on the tuner entirely. This is just confirmation bias.
  13. Do you have a crank trigger Luke? curious
  14. Dunno.. $400? In what, the Pulsar?
  15. wtf are you talking about? I explained myself that everybody else was harping on about every other ECU under the sun like he somehow needed something OTHER than a Nistune, which he doesnt. So I threw the PFC in as another option if he HAD to change, and then everyone jumps on it exclaiming its the biggest piece of shit. Also I don't know if we can use "Hectic software" as a selling point 90% of people who buy a Haltech, don't tune it themselves so theres no value in it for them. But yes to set the story straight I went Nistune first because it was free, then I put a PowerFC on my car on loan, for free. So I have no bias when it comes to BUYING ECUs. The reason why I didn't buy a Haltech was cost, I don't have a NEED for its features, and neither do a large proportion of skyline owners. Might be a great ECU, but I'll be damned if I need anything more than what the latest Nistune offers with Flex and Launch Control (which I never even used). Don't forget, PFC Pro had launch control many years ago
  16. Why do you need a loom? They're plug and play, if you stay with AFMs then you have to go Nismo or Z32 (which negates the price difference unfortunately), so you're better off buying a D-Jetro. Which you can get with the loom and sensor for $700. It's still good value. While most of the things in this thread have been true, haltech is a better ecu there is no doubting that. But my argument still remains of the "buy the parts to suit your application". Most people on here aren't doing anything fancy but whacking on a big single and hoping for 400kw on usually, a stock bottom end. PowerFC will do the job well, and even after they rebuild it and learn the hard way how expensive everything gets (gtr lyf), a PFC will still do everything you need it to do.
  17. You're right on all those parts you just said, I just don't think the average person needs it, 400kw isn't even anything fancy nowadays in the GTR world. Every third GTR in Sydney seems to be minimum 350-400kw. You buy an ECU to suit your application and in most cases a PFC is going to more than cut it. On top of that... you should be listening to your tuner anyway. If he tells you he prefers to tune Haltech or PFC, then you should definitely be listening up!
  18. Okay mate, I edited my post before you posted that but if you want to be childish thats fine. Anfanee, what exactly is a platinum pro going to do over a PFC that your average joe shmo actually NEEDS? Go on GTR PARTS on Facebook and you can pickup a PFC D-Jetro any day of the week for $700. I don't see what the issue is here?
  19. Yes and I've had a hand in building many of those cars. I could confidently say less than 10% of those who have gone second hand, have had problems, I'm talking 40+ cars here as well.
  20. Or you could and it be totally fine like most people.
  21. You can get them secondhand for $400 if you wait long enough, average price is $600 for a GTR PFC. How is it half arsing? It'll go with your mods all the way up to 450kw very comfortably.. even more if you go D-Jetro..
  22. I couldn't disagree with you anymore at this point. The higher power you go with Nistune, the worse the tune gets. O2 correction always trying to battle with the tune. I can name quite a few different people with GTRs that are considering swapping from Nistune over to PFC. You want accurate timing with a Haltech, you kinda need a crank trigger, it jumps all over the shop without one. It's not "just an extra grand" for most people who haven't swung a spanner in their lives. PowerFC does the job, and it has been doing the job for the last 25+ years on THOUSANDS of high performance cars. You cannot possibly use confirmation bias just because you had a junk tune, and trash the ECU which thousands of people have zero issues with.
  23. ^^ This. I'm not saying Haltech is shit, I'm not saying Nistune is shit, I'm not saying PFC is better than all of those combined. I'm saying there is nothing wrong with all of those options provided you have the right tuner. To say PowerFC is shit because its old is naive, 8 times out of 10 its more than anyone on this website needs, we're not all running 800kw drag cars where we need every sensor ever conceived and an ECU to shut everything down because it broke a ringland at 8000rpm while making that 800kw. Don't need to spend 2k on an ECU to suit the "drive around town and maybe a track day a couple of times a year" application.
  24. Bump! I've sourced some Springs. Now I just need the VCT Gear and Solenoid. Anyone have one lying around out of a NEO Turbo head?
  25. What makes you say that? Mine's been tuned on Nistune and on a PFC, both drove just fine. Was tracked with the PFC with zero issues, made 400kw. Definitely more down to the tuner than it is the ECU.
