At the end of the day the guy runs a business. He wants to make money. Most of the time, they don't care. If I have a good relationship with someone, I'll be open and say "hey, found this and really like the look of it, what do you think? I know you and trust you and would like to go through you, can you get a similar price?" All comes down to how your relationship is built. It's a hard one to judge though. If the price is say $4k from the competitor and your guy can only source the part for that much, there's no point in him going to that extent for nothing. However, if he can source it for $3.5k and sells it for $5k, he may cut his profit a little for a long term relationship.

Getting An Unregistered V35 Road Worthied
t5iv replied to redempshun's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I remember when a mate of a mate used to work in a dodgey shop in Bankstown. All it took was a call with VIN, Chassis and Rego and then duck by in the arvo with a case of beer and it's all good. Gone are those days... It's a shame that massive bombs are still around on the road though. In QLD, you only need a RWC when selling or registering an unregistered vehicle. I know that in Sydney, you'd need one practically every year. What's it like in Melbourne? -
Getting An Unregistered V35 Road Worthied

I had a similar issue to you Matt when I went to get mine done. They pinged me for my passenger seat's tilt not working accurately at all times. Seriously!! -

Isn't that what were talking about? They look good on vipers and mustangs... But that's about it. -

Depends on the car mate. Don't think the V has the lines to pull it off. -
Excellent mate! Would be great to have you there. Should be fun. One thing that I'd like to address at this is the new "Yoon" laws mean to us and what we can do moving forward.

Really I'm always sitting at half way on the gauge.

Guy came on to complain about v drivers behaviour. Wastelandsrs found thread and made it a whore thread. -
There are discussions about a few of us coming up your way. Pm some events that you guys would be interested in coming down for and well see what we can organise. Also, if its a $400 fuel then you'd want to save as much on the movie ticket as possible right?

Townsville peeps, happy new year! Dinner and chat is back! Know that it's a bit of a drive but if anyone is down here, then feel free to join us. Continuing on from last years very popular dinner and chats, thought that we could kick off this year with dinner and a movie. Considering that South Bank is cheap on cinema tickets and because they have decent food thought that that would be a good place to go. Who: People who are interested in Skylines and cars as well as their significant others. What: Catch Up for dinner and a movie. Where: Grilled and then South Bank Cineplex When: Dinner at 7 and then movie around 9:30pm, Friday 11 January, 2013 Why: Because its the first week back at work for a lot of people and we all could do with a break. It's also been a while since we've caught up, so why not! How: Well, you drive to the car park and park your car, then walk to the restaurant. . alternatively, I'll be heading there straight after work so if anyone wants to catch up prior, we could always do that. The movie that were planning on seeing is Hitchcock. They haven't released times as yet but they said that there should be a session around 9ish. So, who's in?

Ffs! When I see you, I don't recognise you, when I don't see you, I think it's you. Think that you should come to the next meet so I can refresh my memory. . You live on the north side right? -
What's Your Average Km To A Tank?
t5iv replied to Seano350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Ok, 300kms highway and 47km city used 31L. This equated to approximately 8.9L/100km. Yesterday's cruise used about the same amount and that was 220kms. Was keeping her up in the revs around the mountains though. That equates to 14l/100km. Which is about right when you're almost always sitting at 4-5k rev with heavy braking around sharp turns and powering out of them.
