  1. What would happen if you insured a parent as the primary driver and yourself as an occasional driver?
  2. If you search here, I'm pretty certain that there was a thread on here with a detailed DIY. If not, call Chris rogers, he could be of assistance.
  3. Epic plan is epic however lacking beer....
  4. Need more deep dish goodness..
  5. Well aware that the CVT doesn't have a vale body to upgrade... wasn't sure whether that's what the trnasgo thingy did or not...
  6. Understand how the CVT boxes work... Wasn't sure about the shift kit. Couldn't find much detailed info although didn't put a lot of effort into googling.
  7. Shannons had a clause a few years back that stated that you have to have at least 5 years driving experience before you can qualify (I had only had my license for 4 years and a few months). In terms of finance, if it's a secured loan having insurance is mandatory. The 'bank' has an interest in the vehicle and hence if anything happens, they will still get their money. Have even heard of situations where the financier has negotiated a lesser sum to be paid in excess to the insurer... not certain on the validity of this though.
  8. Does the shift kit work with the CVTs? Don't completely understand how these things work...
  9. Kolossus, you can use my yard to clean your filthy self off however, I have not met an import that can make it down my drive way...
  10. They did a dodgey job, get them to replace all your seats in a colour of your choosing.
  11. Now that you're importing one, you will see them everywhere!
  12. Someone add me...
  13. There's a Brisbane V & Z club on FB?
  14. But then there would be no competition... <- Them be fighting words. Haha!
  15. It would be advisable to wait the 8 months. Insurance will rip you a new one and it will give you more time to suss out the market. Most decent sports cars are less than 1.5t which means that you'd only have a vehicle that produces less than 187.5kw...
  16. I reckon it's worth the $. Slam it on to some 20"s and she'll be right mate.
  17. http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Safety/Vehicle-standards-and-modifications/Vehicle-modifications/Light-vehicle-modifications.aspx
  18. By mods, they mean mods that require a blue plate. Basic modifications are fine.
  19. I was talking more about the V35s. Avg value C$20k (to keep it in round numbers). Once the 370GTs are released here for an absolute mint, people would be more accepting to pay towards $25k-$30k for the V35. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you will definitely experience a 100-200% boost in value - that's just stupid... However, an extra 20-50% - very likely.
  20. I'm comparing apples with apples mate. Cars do depreciate however when these vehicles come over here and the base value is raise significantly and if the scarcity still exists, then we have the opportunity to make some mooolah! I've taken a look at the forecasts and feasibility of this, should work well...
  21. I'm expecting the value of our cars to increase by anywhere from 20-50%. This is why I'm rebadging mine as an Infiniti.
  22. You would think that the compound would start to deteriorate in that time after exposure to the weather and what not... but ok... Did you receive my PM?
