I actually want to get a 6MT V36 370GT w/ the VQ37VHR and twin turbo it. I also have a rough idea as to what costs will be, although saving that sort of cash will take some time But, youd be looking at about 450-500HP. With a good driver behind the wheel, 10s are highly possible :P

Im up in brisvegas mate. I spoke to West Point Nissan, Indooroopilly QLD. They can source the fluid from Melbourne @ $772/ 4litres. Not too bad. I just saw my mechanic this morning about the fluid as he wanted to check that it was burnt or off before I actually comitted $1500. Checked it out, good as new. Some people may have actually replaced the fluid properly, you never know. if you're absolutely certain about a car, get your mechanic to check it out, before you purchase. Of course youd pay for the check and if it;s a drive then fuel costs if the vendor is happy with it, but big thing is just general check to make sure that every thing is going strong. In sydney, I beleive that UAS @ Silverwater are pretty decent, and theres a place in west ryde, cant remember off the top of my head. Have a gaze around the V series section, few boys from Sydney there. A lot of questions have also been answered, so take a look and theyd be able to advise of people who can deal with the car. most mechanics should be able to source it ex japan. my mechanic should be gettingh me some soon. im doing mine at 70k. gearbox feels a bit notchy.

Isn't that the purpose of any automatic car though? To basically get you up into a high gear and keep your revs low, so a) your not revving the ass out of it and b) so you maintain fuel. I was under the impression that thats why people came up w. tiptronic. To make it 'fun' Ive got the GT8 and on the motorway at 110, its in 8th speed but if I was in tip mode I could easily be sitting in 3rd (with a heck of a lot more torque down there as well ) Personally, peak hour it stays in drive. other times I have a bit of fun. Yeah it chews more fuel but the VQ loves it!

if it does get that bad.. ill go halves with you on a bb gun. i jk i jk!

Nah mate. I fill up at the local shell 90% of the time so unless im absolutely down, i go there. The light usually comes on for about 50-70ks. When i was coming back from Syd, i got 702ks, had the light on for about 90min whilst i shat myself alot! still only got to put in just over 59l. im a gt8 btw if that helps at all.
