Sweet! If it's the early part of Nov, that would work really well! Go down, watch horse racing, watch cars racing - great trip!

I know up here that changing from a viscous to mechanical LSD is defectable. I think it falls under 'modification of safety equipment?' Will do some more DD. Sorry, my mistake. Was mixing up locked vs Mech diffs. Locked is illegal. Changing the fluid will help it function as it should. God knows when the last time they were changed in these cars was (prior to our ownership). Like any other fluid, it deteriorates and breaks down over time. Changing it helps the diff's efficacy.

Awesome info guys. This is where passion and persistence matter. It's a tough gig. A lot of the older guys here who imported early Skylines back in the day can attest to how much govt crap there is to work through. Hopefully the US builds a solid scene full of imports!

Welcome to our friends from the States! Owning V/G35, I've had the pleasure of dealing with a few people over in the states. It comes down to the passion for the cars. We've gone through a lot of trial and error here and the majority are willing to share that info, so welcome!

vLSD is similar yet different to the LSD that you're thinking. Mechanical LSDs are illegal and these viscous LSDs that we have tend to deteriorate pretty quickly. Grab some Penrite 75w140 and chuck it in until it overflows and she'll be right - for now.

If you run test pipes in a state that has EPA testing facilities, you're going to have a hard time. QLD, luckily, does not have EPA testing

Where Do U Get Ur V35 Serviced At?
t5iv replied to Will Power's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Sorry. Should have stated this explicitly. Then again, any serious build that requires a standalone is going to be beyond the CVT's capability. -
Just Bought J50 Skyline Crossover - Usb Question

Try another format. NTFS, Ext4 etc. -
Chris Rogers has. Apparently the screen size that you need is 6.4" or something strange. Really hard to come across.

I'm setting this up using an Android tablet with the assistance of Chris Rogers. Only stumbling block that I have is which tablet? I like installing custom ROMS and having full usability of the system. Planning on running everything from music to nav to live engine stats through it. Can update with details when I get it set up.

To tune the stock ecu, you need to run Osiris. If you want more to your set up then a new standalone unit would be the way to go (or a piggyback). For the capacity of this car, and what you can really do with the tune, Osiris is the best bet. Now, if you're going with a serious build, a standalone would work better. -

Looking good mate. Curious about how you're going to register it. All the best! -
That's it Scotty. Pretty sure it states that in the workshop manual - which I can't find now

V36 Lcd Screen Flickering / Electrical Problem?
t5iv replied to naz370's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
System has either shat itself or there's water in somewhere. Maybe try airing out the fuse boxes as a start to completely dry them. -
Surely it's still Revhead that manages that.

Check out that rubber stopper that Damo mentioned. Goes in a lot of Nissans - would be the third this week come to think of it... Replace it with and sorted.

350gt All Brake Pads Need To Be Replaced, Average Price?
t5iv replied to Gdub's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Price sounds about right. Depends on what pads/ fluid is being put in. Approximately 2 hours of labour - about $200 right there.- 4 replies

Over rated. Just run now filters, no AFM - all the better for air flow.

Enough of the w**kfest and comparing how big everyone's d**k is. Fact of the matter is that these cars are slow. They take a fair bit of work to get any decent power out of. The DE has a brittle bottom end. The 37VHR actually has some sexy as f**k pistons and rods in there. This not the place to talk about street racing and carrying on like idiots - boost cruising is that way. Listen to what the guys who have been there and done that say. Learn from them. Quit the B**tching and moaning and grow up. When Andrew gets back from holidays, he'll probably remove 3/4 of the crap in here.
