  1. If you're in QLD, there's a muffler shop in Brendale that does really good custom work. A couple of QLD members have used them. it's either Mac's Mufflers or Fat Pipes. Can't remember for the life of me right now. Full custom set up, just the way you want it. Pricier but you pay for quality and perfection.
  2. Or you can buy the BCs from Mouse for about a third of that price... Proven coilover for your needs.

At sprints, the club has had really solid turn outs with Evos. It was more Evos flogging SAU than anything else though
  4. Lol, proven 15whp upgrade from an intake on a natro. Straighter pipe with less in the way will get you the noise. Pay for a brand name kit with massive gains or stick on a peice of ally with couplers on either end and a pod. Performance wise, z-tube and panel filter are the way to go.
  5. http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_detail4.php?part_number=BNK006 Bushings, solid sway bars (think the front is 2mm smaller in diameter but solid makes a world of difference), end links. Call and verify though. Worst case, just buy the bushings from Whiteline.
  6. Or a new box Andrew. Auto convert it should theoretically be a peice of piss. That's on the cards for later in the year.
  7. CF Driveshaft isn't necessary unless you're planning on dropping serious power and it's one of those things that you'd get when the engine is out getting turbos bolted on. We've got serious HP cars in the club who don't bother with them. Light weight wheels, flywheel etc will make a difference at the numbers that you're looking at. Bear in mind that the US is known for happy dynos.
  8. Ok. Auto conversion is fairly straight forward. Need Auto TCU and 95% chance that it will marry up to the ECU. The fact that there's an external TCU makes it a lot easier. If you're tracking the car from time to time, the shift kitted auto will be a better option. Think the RE5 is the stronger box of the two from memory. If you're defining 'feeling the gear change' as the feeling when the engine lowers it's revs, then that's kind of true. With an exhaust, you can hear/feel when the car drops from 4k-3k-2k. Out of curiousity, what's your diff fluid like? The trans cooler is an external unit not part of the radiator.
  9. Paint matching takes time because cars this age are rarely the same colour as when they came out of the factory. There's fade and other issues to take into consideration so a good paint shop will use the colour code as a base guideline. also, if it's an old chromatic colour, then it can be near impossible to match. Heard of a particular MP3 R34 GT-R needing a colour matched panel because someone drove into them. $12k repair bill - the other guy's insurer would not have been pleased!
  10. Best way to do is to remove the box and drop in an Auto with a shift kit or do a manual conversion. If you wish to service the box, the theory is: 1) Drain fluid - easy 2) Flush and fill with KTF Fluid (8L req) and Just Jap stock it - exxy (expect $1k in fluid or thereabouts) 3) Reset the gearbox readings in the ECU using Consult III - this is essential and you need someone who is willing to mess around and get in there to fix it. C2 will not work and I have tried finding the gearbox using it. When you look at $1k for fluid and $200 for someone to mess around on C3 for a few hours, makes more sense dropping an auto straight in. Will be what I do when my box goes.
  11. What's your budget and intended use? If you just want something that will hold the car on the road and fairly good bang for buck, BC BRs are worth it. Tiens can be a little harsh on the road for daily use although very good for more spirited use. Then again, you have options like MCA, bilstiens and Ohlins if you were really serious about doing track work. Horses for courses. Daily? BC are more than enough. Throw in some adjustable arms and you're laughing.
  12. They're f'ing close to the Schwerts.
  13. Keen for skids but unfortunately can't drive that far with car in current state
  14. Only worth it on good quality coils though. Think Bilstiens, Ohlins etc.

  16. Second and not in!
  17. Nah. It's the people who want every event under the sun and don't turn up to them that you should cater to. Run your whole business plan to accommodate them.
  18. They do dinners and stuff these days. Monthly I think.
  19. Might come by early and then head to tech night. Might drag McFly down. Get him to take the Leopard and see if any of you VG owners are keen And for future reference, they are tech NIGHTS. To be held at NIGHT. Because tech NIGHT. A day implies the whole day. FFS
  20. Looks good mate.
  21. Afternoon. Thinking bagel for lunch.

Events such as gymkhana, texi, hill climb etc are better done with other clubs like MG or BMW. Less liability on the club, members still get to go.
