We've got it easy because we can build track cars with the mods we want, and drive on a track. But 4wders don't have that luxury. Takeaction.4wdaction.com.au Vote against it, even if youre not in the scene. I'm sure you can all sympathize for these guys.

SKITTLES replied to SKITTLES's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling

Visual isn't my idea of a nice car. But I agree with suspension, new brakes, braided lines, and a tune. As a general thing I prefer stock looking cars... but I'm looking at whacking a very cheap kit onto mine atm. Hmmm thanks, that'll help. I've found a cheapish R33 GTST. It needs some body work and a good service by the looks/sounds of things, but I'll have a thorough look with a friend next week when I'm back from holidays. Thanks

Was thinking carbon fibre, or weight reduction. But to reduce weight, you've got to remove thing you probably kind of need (like aircon, and noise deadening rofl). I wanted a spot welded chassis, but er.... yeah no. Probably gonna have a look at lighter parts. Noone really seems interested in my car. The plan used to be do everything but the turbo, then when I'm off my Ps, put a turbo on. Now I'm just desperate to get into a nice car... I'm sure you all know the feeling. HAHAHAHA you sir are a legend. Do you live in Sydney?

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=9868634 Just wondering if it'd be worth buying it and fixing it up? Those quarter panels don't look amazingly easy to take off...
-
Also, I have two years till I'm off my Ps. So getting a turbo car now is a bit of a waste... but I'm really not enjoying my N/A anymore. She's really comfortable, though.. Iunno maybe I need to sell it to another P-Plater who'll appreciate her. But noone's going to buy it for how much it costs.

Oh my god, if I was sitting on a chair, I would have fallen off. If I feel game enough, I'm so doing it! Speaking about LSD, my original idea was to build something that I could use for drifting... but an N/A skyline for drifting = fail imo, can't get that torque I need. I'm tempted mate. I don't go to the track enough to build one, though. And I've already got paintball as my expensive, money consuming hobby/sport. I'm gonna go have a look at the 32s that are available...

Series 2 R33 Gts25 In Sydney
SKITTLES replied to SKITTLES's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Still for sale, $12000 neg -
Yeah.. but I've got the stock exhaust so it's got that horrible rattling sound at 3k RPM. The coilovers are a definite, I'm trying to make some time to get to a suspension place.. but it's so damn hard to and LOL at the avatar, yeah, I just needed a picture. I hope you find my new one slightly more tasteful.

Meh. I like my car, I want something nice now. Not fussed about like 200kw +, I just want more than the 95-100 I'm guessing I'm getting. I was going to put an RB25DET in, but I've decided against it. Got pulled over at an RBT station and he went through the normal three questions, "where are you going? Have you been drinking? Is this the non-turbo version?" But he actually got me to pop the hood, and while he looked I sat there thinking "if I had done the conversion, I'd be f**ked right now". So I'm not going ahead with it. I feel like I'm missing something other than the generic exhaust / intake / suspension stuff...

I got $6000 which was going to put a new engine in my car with a GTST gearbox, but I've had one of those 'maturity' hits recently and I've decided against driving a turbo. Soooo... what can I do for $6000? I'm thinking exhaust, headers, coil-overs. Anything else that'll give me a bit more pick-up?

These Coil-Overs Any Good?
SKITTLES replied to SKITTLES's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Sorry should have Googled them >< Thanks for the info guys! Found a thread on the silvia forums giving these things a bad review; http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=301984 Might just pop into a local suspension shop. -

Mackay Members! Whats Does Everyone Do For A Job?
SKITTLES replied to Rb Liner25's topic in Queensland
Last time I checked, it was REALLY easy to get a job in Mackay, employers are screaming for people, aren't they? Work your ass off kiddo. Get a weekend job, get a good name with that employer, do everything they ask and do it well, then go around looking for more people. I walked into a job when I was 17. I walked into a second job when I was 17. I walked into a job when I was 18. I got a payrise within 4 months of working with this company. And by the way, it's not freaking easy to get a job in IT when you're untrained, no qualifications, no previous employment history (in IT) and all you've got is your enthusiasm and dedication to prove. Edit: Yes I know I'm talking about having walked into jobs in Sydney, but the climate is much more competitive. People in Mackay NEED the workers, I've seen it myself. Dude, there's nothing wrong with flipping a burger at maccas as long as it gets you money. My friend, in Mackay, got paid $13 / hour for washing dishes, had work every night at a restaurant, and was able to afford a snow boarding holiday to NZ by the time he was out of year 10. Another friend had a pimp-ass integra and house; paid for by flipping burgers at maccas (him and his missus worked together). -
Ahkay. I read it in the context that "water has better cooling than coolant". So coolant with glycol is the best way to go in regards to good cooling?
-
So I had a quick glance at this thread, and read some replies.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/351160-alternative-to-engine-coolant/page__pid__5634858#entry5634858 Does that mean that I should put distilled water in my radiator and not coolant? On the street, does it make a massive difference?

Skyline R33 400R Front Bar For Sale
SKITTLES replied to streetboyz's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Your English is horrible. You're probably a nice guy in real life, but it's so hard to understand you. You remind me of an 11 year old kid with the way you type. No more discussion of this in this topic. Good luck with your sale. -
Nah what happened is they didn't dunk the part in the paint all the way
