  1. will it fit a Series 2 R33?
  2. You know... I really don't like you. Just putting it out there.
  3. Like I said, performance is not a concern. All work I'm thinking about doing is geared towards the end product which is turbo charged. 3" exhaust on a turbo charged engine isn't too bad Sounding like a jet engine doesn't appeal to me... hm... I'll have a chat to a couple more performance shops. Thanks for correcting me, Socrates. People have been telling me "compression" so that's just what I've been saying. Not too sure how back pressure helps N/As with performance but i'll do a bit of a google search Have had a couple engine problems start to happen recently... gotta work out wtf. Visiting my mechanic to have a chat tomorrow. Thanks for the replies guys

The car has done 500,000kms, and the turbo has done 60,000kms. - run your damaged car What would you do? Run my damaged car depending on the damage. Other than "that was long and tiring" do you have any comments? I wanna go home.. this was supposed to take me longer than it did
  5. Does it feel like it's mis firing? My engine does something like this. The only way I can describe it is the feeling of a spark plug failing, but I have brand new spark plugs and apparently there's nothing wrong with my coil packs If you figure this out, you're one up on my mechanic.
  6. Or if you want to service it, repair it, etc. Go buy an N/A R33 in Silver. Check out the For Sale section, there's an awesome one this really cool guy called "Skittles" is selling Do you want speed? Cornering? Get a silvia or 180, they're really nice. An n/a 180 smashed me in a straight the other day. Or N/A Skylines are pretty awesome in terms of a general car to drive. Not the greatest on fuel but they're really comfortable and fun to drive. If you want to spend 20k then you could get something like that black 32 coupe and get work done to it? $5000 car, do exhaust and suspension. Clean out the car, spend a little dosh on car care products, get a good service, replace all the globes etc. New wheels. Exhaust = $1250 fitted (cat + cat back, just had it quoted). Suspension = $1500-2000 fitted (just had an estimate of 2k quoted, though I'm gonna try pull him down). Car car products = $200 ish. Wheels = $1050 non fitted, give or take, depends what you want. We can't have a 300kw+ car, it's depressing. Might as well buy something that makes you smile when you drive it. What car do you feel best suits you? Do you have a car you've wanted to buy for ages?
  7. Assuming you mean RB25DET and RB25DET NEO? That's easy; one dodges bullets. Less emissions, better fuele co, solid lifters, different camshafts, different manifold, smaller chambers, gtr spec con rods, larger turbo, awesome silver plastic on top of the motor.
  8. Post some pics and I'll consider it.
  9. Say I wanted to get... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Catco-High-Flow-Racing-Cat-Converter-S13-R32-R33-Z32-/180612132100?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a0d526d04#ht_1438wt_907 And http://cgi.ebay.com.au/JDM-Performance-Catback-Exhaust-System-Skyline-R33-GTST-/150547490786?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item230d5467e2#ht_1242wt_907 Are they any good? I'm assuming they will go together, but will they fit on my bog stock RB25DE? Edit; I know it's a 3" and it'll loose compression, that's not of a concern. The concern is whether it'll fit or not. Car proposed is an R33
  10. I'm going to put this out there... my RB25DE get's 500km roughly from just less than a full tank of fuel. I go to a united petrol station, I use the 98 octane, but it's got a little ethanol in it. It costs me $60-65 per top up, and I'm probably filling up 5 times a month. I'd recommend finding a place that has good fuel, and sticking to them. If their fuel gives you problems, you can complain about it. Not only that, but I concur with what's been said; stick to the 95+, don't ever put low-octane + ethanol (e10, 91 + ethanol, etc.), you'll feel the difference. Get the thing looked at by a good, reputable mechanic. Make sure he goes over the computers and if needs be, try get a tune for it.
  11. AHH haha I saw her at the servo No worries mate, I'll flick you a wave sometime
  12. My bog stock, n/a Skyline just wiped the floor with a pulsar q running an SR20 with full exhaust + probably other stuff. I've driven an SR20 powered Pulsar. It was bleh. Dunno if the turbo ones are much better...
  13. No problem mate. It's a nice car, I'll let you know when I'm in the market. Also, you absolutely MUST let SAU know when that covered up car is going to hit the tracks ;]
  14. I'll message you when I charge my phone, you're than welcome to come for drives and shit, Caleb Cars still for sale, I've got a bit of interest outside of SAU and Carsales, but ehhhh. Price is neg, lemme know what you're thinking. Even if you THINK you might be interested, just at a lower price, come have a chat / test drive. I don't mind if SAU members want to come have a drive/look.
  15. HAHAHA OHHHH sooooo tempted mate, trust me. I'm gonna have another chat to my grandmother tonight, if no luck then I'm unfortunately not going to be able to buy the engine
  16. New phone number: 0478 102 060
  17. Just making sure i have a place to store it now
  18. Okay, as discussed on the phone I've got a quote to get it shipped and I'll be discussing with my mum/bank about getting the funds for it. I'll chat to you tomorrow or the next, depends when I can get ahold of my banker.
  19. I want so f**king badly. Do you know how much it would ship to Sydney, NSW for? Ringing TNT now.
  20. Sorry mate, I got a new number yesterday and I didn't have your number saved. My cars up for sale atm, if this cars still for sale after mine sells, I could still be interested. I'll let you know, sorry to have wasted your time a bit. For anyone interested, it's a very clean GTS, and it's f**king cheap for what you get. There's a small ding on the back right quarter panel, around the diametre of a tennis ball but very shallow, nothing big, nothing of concern. No paint broken, it can be fixed very easily, quickly and cheaply. Nice very noticeable either. Car is nice and clean underneath, only had a quick look but I couldn't see any holes in the exhaust. It sounded fairly decent for a stocker too. The cars got a couple light scratches on the surface, but it's still better than my 33 which is 3 years younger and doesn't get garaged at all. Yes, the engine bay is that clean IRL. Yes, it looks really well kept. The interior looks much nicer IRL than in the pics, too. I didn't even notice that tear that's in the pic. Seriously, considering most P-Platers are buying pulsars (and the like) for the same price, I don't know why noones snapping this up. If my kid wanted a car, I'd be seriously considering buying this for them over a freaking Hyundai.
  21. I've got a silver R33 n/a up for sale atm.
  22. Goddamnit I wanted those plates!!! hahaha (rb25de). I've seen a few cars around, too many to recall... I drive a Silver 33. Some memorable ones; black R34 on showy White, modded, R33 on showy Black 32 GTR ripping up the Airport a month or so ago. (stared him down, then said hi. He gave me the biggest smile, it made my night!) Of course, I see Luke in his white R34 and white CF bonnet frequently! We've got to catch up again! Btw; thanks for all the waves to those who do. It makes my night when other skyline drivers wave back
  23. If only that was manual, I would have traded you
  24. You know those annoying angled gutters in Queensland? The ones that kinda look like this... I've seen a lot of people putting big thick ropes along it where they drive so they don't scrape their cars getting into their drive ways. The same theory could probably help you If that doesn't work, I saw a lot of people doing the metal trick. If you've got a really nice house and you're looking to keep it looking awesome, just pour some concrete into the gutter and make it flatter ;] Also, the commodore drivers have some interesting fixes on their forums... tips for driving a lowered car Edit: http://www.carguygarage.com/singlecardrivew.html Again, rope does the same thing. Edit: something a guy on ozmps posted...
  25. It feels bad doing this.... but I have to sell the car I've wanted so bad for years now. It's a clean, non-turbo R33. Perfect for a P-Plater looking for a nice, clean car to drive around. It's only just clicked over 156,000KM, all genuine. It was my daily driver, and has taken me from my house, to my girlfriends place, to work, and back without any issues. I'm it's second owner since it was imported three or four years ago. Comes with all original japanese service books, logs, paper work, and the original book it keep it all in. Haven't dynoed. Haven't gone to a track day in it. My mods include 10,000K HID bulbs. Previous owner put an apexi thing in it, which I've taken away from the shifter and have put in the glove box. It doesn't do much other than tell you your RPM and speed.... The only other mods are a sports steering wheel and a short shifter. The short shifter was apparently done in Japan, and I've had a couple of friends tell me how nice it feels. Tires are new-ish, they got put on in August roughly and have heaps of tread. RWD. RB25DE engine. Stock exhaust. Clean interior, comes with Kenwood head unit (cd player and aux input). Depending on sale price I may leave the sub and amp in the boot. The only problem with the interior is a bit of wear on the drivers seat where you get in/out, which is fairly normal. Reason for selling? Regos up and it's served as a harsh reminder that I can't afford to spend more than half my paycheck on repayments for a car when I'm trying to save to buy a house on junior wages. I was going to sell it to my friend, but he's not looking to buy for another year and I can't afford to own the car for that long. Because rego is up, she'll come with 6 months rego. Consequently, she's hitting the mechanics and is getting a service and look-over. Asking $13,000, but I'm negotiable. Car is located in Old Toongabbie, inspections are welcome. No test pilots, only people interested in buying the car can come for test drives. Hopefully a SAU member buys it, so I don't have to pay $60 to place an Ad on carsales Also, more photos are coming this afternoon. Sorry, my phone number is 0412 651 823 Edit: I forgot to mention there's very slight damage on the front bumper in the corner. There's a little bit of paint missing, nothing massive. Would be cheap to fix, I just don't have the money at all. I've buffed out most of it. Had a minor accident in a carpark with a fellow employee
