had two cars stolen years ago so i know the pain you guys are feeling.it's farked.was a black ute nicked in wa a while ago.owner put up big reward.car had top of the line everything.they wanted the car so they took it.all you can do is add up the deterrants.and all the advice given on here is top notch.again, this sucks the big one

you got a garage eric?

they didnt tell me there was extra for turbos.clutch shouldnt matter, just tell its a replacement item thats better quality.you're not lying.same for coils, you want them to acknowledge that they agree with you on the phone.but you don't wanna see those mods appear on the bill.where there is major power upgrades.they gonna make you pay.and also, when you're asking about increases on the bill due to mods, ask 'why?'don't give them answers like power, outright car value or anything.make the consultant explain why a particular mod costs extra to ensure.if their logic doesn't stack up,you have a chance to negotiate.they wanted to charge me for braided brake lines(adr), and i told them it was done for compliancing reasons.which it was.and it made the car safer,if anything.but i say, good luck! .

if it helps,i was rammed by a 4wd years ago in road rage incident.cops saw it and arrested the other guy on the spot.(almost turned up on the force as they were in the area)it helps that the cops have him at fault.i got a quote for$3300.15 for the damages.i rang the courts and requested a bailiff(yeah they do exist)be sent to his place and recover said amount in property as i had heard nothin of repayments.when the bailiff turned up the guy said he had been making payments.he gave me the receipt no's and i checked it out.he was tellin the truth.but the court was taking the money for fines as he didn't specify to give it to me.he ended up paying the whole amount as he was charged with criminal damage and realised he'd compromised his travel plans abroad for the rest of his life.ohh, back to your question.great that cops are on your side.they don't deal with the money side, just the law side.keep annoying the cops and courts for progress.good luck

OUCH!!!!!!think my excess for damage is about $450.if car stolen it's bout 1300.costly necessity, but piece of mind.it does show what insurers think of our cars.and with amount of aussie made cars showing up on tv news reports on crashes, prob a bit unwarranted.especially as the jap cars are big on safety from factory.

that's what i call justcar.hoon insurance.
-
even my house insurer allianz, won't go near the car.could save money with combined policies.

hey luther,i'm with just car.got my r33 gtr insured for $28900 and it's $1280 for me a year.i'm 35 yrs old if that makes a diff with them.and that's gone down from last year.no claims.acknowledge all mods(very little)and if your mod isn't about power and more safety/handling,then explain that to them.aami owns shannons/just car.shannons will insure you if you have a lockable garage at home for your car.and you can opt for insuring the car as a weekender with no log books necessary.(for clarification ring them)have rung just about every insurer and you are limited to a narrow choice if you own an import.most don't recognise the car or as a couple stated"we don't insure race cars, that's a race car"

hey jonno, read the pdf, means the cops were wrong in what they were doing and what they said to me.i accused them of playing games behind me.they were frequently changing lanes behind me,trying to egg me on.plus i knew it was them as they had just pulled someone over earlier and i saw them on side of the road.silver xr6 turbo.they said they were allowed in that lane.i suppose it suited them to say whatever they liked to me.will remember that next time they play games.

years ago got hassles from a guy at repco balcatta.was at odds with the rules of transactions and what i wanted to do.i was like,if you can't help me due to your rules it's all good.i'll go next door.was no prob with me.reluctantly, swearing under his breath he served me.THAT WAS YEARS AGO.the last five years they have been uber helpful and always keen to give advice.like shoppin there.

ha!there's a guy from the quokka.you feel as if you're offending him if you ask for a particular part.and his entusiasm to serve you extends to his haste in finding that part.above, your comments, very apt.

most effective way of slowing the traffic.putting a med sized cardboard box on the side of any road and drawing crosshairs on it and writing 'ahead' below the cosshairs.was on freeway today.everyone doing the righty.cheap,tick.effective,tick.revenue raised from placing box on side of road?nil.and detectors can't pick up cardboard boxes, that i know of...
-
ahh yeah, that would apply to all drivers yeah??oh and the police have said directly to myself, that after 90kph,you can be in any lane you like.before 90,you must keep to the left unless overtaking.at odds with what r.a.c. said a few issues of horizons ago.which was opposite to what the the cops said.of course i'd go with what the cops said but weird for rac to get this wrong, specially as it was an answer to a readers question regarding said topic.all good.happy days

i see your point, but it was only then that there was space in front of me.and with being almost alongside another car, with the extra lane ending,i was doing the right thing.i shouldn't have to speed to allow someone with inconsistent driving to pass and cause more chaos.i think a good general rule is,if someone in front of you is doing nothing wrong, and breaking no laws, then it's not up to people to decide to risk accidents for a car length or two.sure, you can 'want' to pass, doesn't mean you have the right to fark people round because you're impatient.when i got caught behind a guy the other day doin 60 in an 80,yeah i was a bit peeved.and when i eventually passed him, without causing any trouble to anyone, and not speeding,i noticed that his texting while driving was causing his inability to keep with the traffic.is it my job to teach him a lesson?last time i checked i didn't carry a badge, nor gun.i agree that sometimes we are all unnessarily held up by someone who seems to have other things on their mind.and we are naturally going to be a bit pee'd off.but when there's a reason, that's when it's warranted.not just because you 'wanna be in front' that's just childish.

is it amplifier or ambar that is the shithole?wherever i was,i wasn't alternative or 'out there' enough to really blend in.the one up the alleyway....
-
not at that exact moment, but i was next to another car,so was gonna slow, just enough to get behind the other car as the extra lane was finishing soon.so rather than choosing to drive safely,i was forced across nearly into the back of another car.he got two cars in front to be caught amongst more traffic.there was just no need for it.it was a case of 'i'll fark with you cos i can' we can all drive like halfwits, that's the easy part.driving safely, within the rules and not negatively affecting other road users, that's the challenge.but with minimal application, anyone (well almost anyone),can drive half decently, and get where they need to be.this bloke may have got where he was going,10 secs earlier.WOOHOO!no one can claim to be perfect, but i really try not to fark with people.

west coast hwy, today bout 16:15.just passing challenger ave where there's briefly three lanes to allow traffic to merge coming from the sunset drive.fat headed driver of a swamp green vr berlina decided to overtake me using that lane,(after tailgating me for a few mins).but instead of getting in front of me,he slowed when he was halfway past me basically shoving me into the left lane where there was a car at that time.i half moved over, hit the brakes and tucked in behind the other innocent driver.was no reason for him to do that.if we had have got the red light at alfred rd i was gonna cave his windscreen in.YES,there are dickheads in all sorts of cars.BUT, i'm sorry, since i've had my gtr, commo d/h's hassle me constantly without provocation.if you can read commo owners...it's on!

hey guys,i've read this thread from page one to here.learnt alot bout the codes and alike.also learnt that after finally installing fast software,i have no idea how to get it up and running!!!thanks for this service you're doing,it's uber helpful.if anyone's bored, could they run this vin for me? BCNR042055.was also studying the serial number/build numbers, and aside from the ascending with date style, anyone know how they refer to build?wiki has prod numbers and the build numbers seem awfully high if they were simply just the number of the vehicle built,(did that make sense at all????)anyhows, big cheers in advance to you guys 'fasting' out there.
