  1. there are exemptions available if you need to drive the car for work or if the only family car happens to be a high powered vehicle. These laws have existed for ages for motorbikes with the 250cc and more recently with the LAMS rules. I agree with these laws and support them. i reckon it's a great idea
  2. sweet, welcome to the stagea family buddy. With all these new stags around it sounds like it might be time for another cruise
  3. how far do you actually need to tow the car? last time i got one of my cars towed, morphett vale - marion it only cost $40.00 thats less than the cost of hiring a trailer
  4. a) yes b) car plus trailer = at least 2.2 ton c) ? d) if it does happen, please post up some pics, just for the lolz
  5. is this car a fresh import? the plugs in mine were old and crap when i got it, slight missfire at idle, missfire like crazy at 5000rpm. i replaced the plugs and gave all the coil pack connectors a killer clean, sillicone lubed all the coils and retryed. Missfire was gone, car runs sweet as now.
  6. PM me your mobile number mate and we can work it out.
  7. if it was dynoed in 4th wouldn't it hit the speed cut? mine hits the speed cut in 3rd. it does sound fairly lo tho, 100awkw seems below average for a stocker let alone a stag with mods.
  8. yeah mate i work arvos too, i gotta build a bloody garden shed tomorrow , and i've got Captain thread coming out tues morning to do some work on my dodge for me, I'm free thurs morning if you're keen, i can take you for a quick squirt, nothing too quick tho cause i'll have my little girl with me.
  9. i'm free sunday morning and most mornings during the week. let me know when you wanna come down and go for a drive.
  10. Don't hold your breath, knowing Nagoya it'll be a while
  11. where abouts down south do you live mate? i'm down at aldinga if ya wanna go for a squirt in a fairly stand rs4v stagea. just an exhaust and a bit of boost. but it'll give you a good idea on what to expect.
  12. where abouts in adelaide do you live mate? i'm sure there is a few guys on here that would be more than happy to take you for a squirt in their stagea. i drove 3 different stageas before buying mine sight unseen. they all drove differently but it gave me a fair idea on the difference between stock and mildly modded performance.
  13. just make sure the pod filter has 2 anchor points. mine passed okay, but i have heard of a few people getting defected for dumb stuff like pod not secure, even if it is secured properly but only by 1 point.
  14. hey mate, where did you tap into the wiring for the alarm? for my alarm we went straight onto the back of the circuit board in the central locking controller which is on lhs up between the glovebox and the kick panel. there is also a central locking controller on the drivers side but this won't activate the drivers door, only the passenger doors and trunk lock.
  15. pics? good to see some more stageas turning up around adelaide, do you live north or south? if you live down south, then just go to lonsdale for your i.d check. mine got thru with pod, nismo exhaust and jap spec remote start unit. hey Ruby, when is the next Stagea cruise???
  16. aren't you supposed to let the pressure out of the attesa system as well, i though the clutches for the front shaft were preloaded with pressure?
  17. Mv autos are the place to go mate, theyhave a good history with these trans, and they do a killer shift kit too
  18. last night i removed the cheap shitty boost gauge that i fitted last week and fitted a decent one. what a surprise, my car is still running 9-10psi. oh well, at least i don't need to get a boost controller. although when it was nice and cold last nite i was getting an initial spike to 11 psi then it bled down to 8-9psi.
  19. hey mate, i bought my car through nagoya, not super impressed by their pre sales or after sales service (basically the whole experience in general) i'm still waiting for a repalcement coil pack that i was supposed to get a month and a half ago. PM me for more detail if you want as i'm not allowed to post up and slanderous comments.
  20. finally got around to recording the hillclimb car running, it's slowly getting closer. trying to run the car without it's jump pack for the battery created some interesting results.
  21. that would have been my wife heading out in the stagea.
  22. where did you guys take the boost reference from? mine is plugged into the drivers side rear of the intake manifold right next to the brake booster piping. might try putting a t- piece into the boost sensor hose and see if it reads different.
  23. I fitted a Boost gauge to my stag at work tonight. drove home, standard solenoid standard turbo - 10 psi. strange. now i just gotta try and work out why it's running so much boost, either a faulty gauge or it has an rb20det boost solenoid fitted.
  24. i find this thread really interesting. i sold my VE SS sportwagon (manual) to buy my C34. The SS had 213rwkw in stock form I Deleted the rear mufflers and added straight pipe. Same day, same dyno, same operator - 225rwkw. there is no way my c34 in its current form(hiflow cat, nismo exhaust, pod) would even come close to beating it in a straight line. i, ve never driven a 35, but i couldn't imagine them being 3-4 seconds faster 0-100. but the C34 is a much nicer car to drive than the SS was and it handles better at speed.
  25. i don't reckon it would be an issue. just get it inspected at one of the other branches ie- lonsdale. when my stagea was inspected a month ago they queried the child seat anchor bolts - but stated "it isn't really an issue becasue it's not a compliance or roadworthy inspection" dude was fairly cool about. as long as all the numbers match and it looks pretty much stock it should be alright.
