So i spoke to my mate at Nagoya again today, supposedly his boss has to sign off on all the compliancing side of things. unfortunatley his boss is in Japan lookig at cars and they are having trouble contacting him. He currently has 10 or so cars waiting for compliance so hopefully mine is fairly high up on that list. as soon as it is signed off it should only be about 3 days to compliance, then he will fix the issues with car and service it. and then it will be shipped to me. So at this stage i'm looking at about 2 more weeks till it gets to me.

has it arrived yet....huh.........how bout now?... at least yours is on the way, mine is still stuck at Nagoya Motors. still having trouble with stupid compliancing. p.s if you post pics of you and your new stag before mine has even left NSW i won't be Happy!!!

if anyone is in the area towards the end of the week, could they please call into Nagoya and get some pics for me please, once the car is complianced and ready to ship that is. hopefully it will be done by friday. i just want some pics before it gets loaded on the truck in case of damage. because i'm pretty sure Nagoya won't help out if i need it.

let me know how you go. i'm actually going to sydney at the end of march. I'm driving the new Stag over there, so if there is any issues...(and the car actually gets there) i'll be having a quiet word and getting it sorted out.

The problem is,2 company's merged (Nagoya motors and Japanese auto something...) i rang up about the car when the merger was taking place. hence the car was advertised cheaper on the jap auto site and more expensive at Nagoya. because i'm technically buying the car from Nagoya he doesn't seem to care. And to be honest in the beginning i thought I'll just pay the extra cash and make a sure i get looked after really well, ie new brake pads, stock airbox(remove pod filter), fix any small issues, new tyres,etc. but now i'm just pissed off and i want my car.......there's a Stagea cruise coming up and I really want to go!!!!!

this seems to be the same crap i'm going thru with Nagoya Motors. I was told that my Stagea was stock and complianced, put my deposit down, got car inspected, all okay..ish. ring D'mitri, try to purchase vehicle and organise shipping to Adelaide only to be told, 2 weeks to get the car complied....WTF!!! I spoke to him today - 1.5 weeks after inspection and i'm told they are having trouble complying my Stag because of the aftermarket mods???? I am also having trouble discussing price.. the car was listed at $14900(where i saw it first) on one site and $15900 on another. but of course D'mitri doesn't understand and therefore i just have to pay the higher price. also on the ad it states free delivery aus wide and free 12 months rego, now i am told that i get free delivery & 3 months rego. it's just getting way to hard to argue with this dude. If the car wasn't blue, and the exact model we wanted i think i would have asked for my deposit back already. but unfortunately my wife has her mind set on this one, which means i have no choice.... RANT over.....for now!!!

i'm also buying my stagea from nagoya motors. a blue C34 dayz model. probs is that i live in adelaide, SA. once the car is complianced - hopefully within the next week or two i might have to see if i can get someone to shoot me some photos of the compliance plate before i lay down the cash. I'd rather be sure before it arrives here.

4.3:1 means 4.3 turns of the tyre to 1 rotation of the tailshaft meaning quicker acceleration and less top end. For some reason it has always referred to as a shorter ratio - i"m a mechanic and some of the guys here at work still get it confused -

I know Delamere road well. it's got to be my all time fav run. I've done it alot more on my bike than i have in a car tho so it might be a bit different. i wanna get bilsteins eventually but after buying the car, and doing some basic mods i'm gonna run outta cash pretty quick.

it'll supposedly be here in three weeks, just in time hopefully. but it means i'll have no time to modify it. a guy i work with just lowered his using r31 stock springs in the rear, any one had any experience with this?

do you still have the rear sway bar? - what about the front one? will they fit a S2 DAYZ Stagea? are they any bigger?

have you got any pics of a car with the springs fitted. kinda keen for them but them might be a bit low for my rims.

I've already been here a few days but i thought a formal intro would be best. Just purchased a 2000 S2 Stagea Dayz edition from sydney and i'm waiting for it to arrive. I live down south and i'm always up for a cruise. keen as to throw some fresh kays on the stagea once it arrives

so it turns out that the stagea i just bought isn't complied yet and i have to wait for the the dealer in sydney to do that. my car is due here the weekend before the cruise so hopefully it gets here in time. unfortunately it means i'll be heading out with 4wd ride height.

same guy, report seemed fairly good. when i rang him to ask about specific items(like the receptionist advised me) he seemed annoyed. he mentioned some stuff that i wanted to follow up on like a vac switching valve inop, just didn't seem to want to be bothered. that said the report is pretty comprehensive and i'm glad it got done. the photos on car point deliberately didn't show some bad scratches to the kit, the torn leather or the pod filter. overall i'm happy tho.

Got the report today, some little cosmetic issues need attention- leather on shift knob has peeled away, rear sunroof inop, a couple of scratches. I just need to get the car so i can decide whether i can just do springs or if i go the whole hog and do coilovers instead. TEIN are on special brand new on flea bay.

yeah that's the one. why's that? i haven't dealt with them before, hopefully it all turns out good, it's getting an independant inspection done this arvo, then i hopefully get it shipped over here soon.

yeah, gets inspected on monday in NSW then hopefully get it shipped over by the weekend. it's already got 18's and an exhaust, it just needs to be lowered

Hey all, I just purchased my first jap import - a 2000 Nissan Stagea Dayz edition - should hopefully get here early next week. i've just/finally been converted from my V8 old school ways to the jap import style. I live in SA - Aldinga Beach and i'm pretty much always keen for a cruise.

If my Stagea gets here in time i'll be keen for a cruise. hopefully i can get some mods done before then.
