It's pretty sad how the trade is going, that's for sure. I see both ends of the scale, I work arvo shift in a dealership servicing holdens. They dont blatantly rip people off, but I think a lack of understanding on the service advisors part can lead to confusion, ie repairing minor issues before major ones because of cost. And then I run my own shop on an appointment only basis. I feel bad charging some customers for what is easy work, or just a check over. But because my customers actually like me and my service( and the fact that I charge 1/3 the hourly rate of a dealer) they normally insist on paying.

Keep in contact mate, I'm not in a hurry to sell. My new car won't be viable till mid next year. Gotta get enough dollars through my business so I can get the new vehicle as a company owned toy

Got all the mirrors and windscreen panel repainted black, they turned out okay so i tried the rear bar. came up good i reckon. Just don't know if it will stay that way. also added some spare number plates from the shed, just for giggles

got all the body in primer today, modified the airbox for a bit more induction noise and took Dave the Mira for a lap around the block. It goes suprisingly well, better than i thought it would. well, just started it up, and it is very very......quiet, like surprisingly quiet, I had to remove the airbox just so it would have some induction noise. I'm actually a little disappointed to be honest, I wanted it louder, Guess i might have to make some custom headers for it and a bigger front pipe. got some work done on the Mira over the weekend, smoothed out some dents behind the drivers door, and coated it in spray putty This Mira is fairly rough, it is covered in carpark dents, and imprints from people leaning on the car.
