  1. Depends on power level you are looking for, other mods you want to do with it, built or standard engine, etc. Maybe try looking at the rb26 turbo upgrade and dyno results forum
  2. I have a npc 1000hp twin plate in mine with a nismo slave cylinder and I pove it. Easy to drive and very streetable.
  3. I'm pretty sure that there are thinner engine mounts of another model. From memory an r31 but you'd have to find out if that's correct and if they are a straight fit.
  4. What engine sub frame are you using? R32 sub frames make the engine sit higher than r33 etc as far as I'm aware. Mate had a similar issue in a 180. Switched sub frames to a 33 I believe, problem solved
  5. Hey guys, I got a 32 gtr that the paint as turned to crap not long after some repairs were done due to it been reversed into. It looks like a hologram in the paint on the roof and bonnet. I'm guessing from when the had the car baking in the paint booth. I've tried waxing and light polishing, however it still remains. Anyway I was looking at maybe getting it professionally detailed and polished, etc to see if the can correct it. I was hoping someone could give me any recommendations on professional detailers around brisbane, ipswich, or the gold coast that they have had do some paint correction on their car? I'm not fussed about price as the next step is a full respray. And just so people know I did use the search function however all the threads are old as and I was looking for a more up to date opinion. Thanks guys
  6. Hey mate I'm away from home currently so can't get a photo for you till Monday. They are located in ipswich. Thanks matt
  7. Hi Guys, Got some things to sell that I no longer need. Trying to clear some space. 2 x R32 GTR AFM's. Bought with another engine. Were told they were working at time of removal. $110 ea 1 xR32 GTR Ecm. Also bought with another engine. Told it was in good working order when removed. $150 2 x R32 GTR Projector Headlights. Both in good condition with no obvious damage. I changed them out for another style. $150 ea or $275 for both 6 x Standard RB26 Injectors. Came with engine. Were working fine but changed them out for upgraded items. $150 for all 1 x R32 gtr alternator. Was working fine on my old engine but didn't worry about changing it over. $150 Text or call would be the best method of contact as I'm not on here very much. Photos to come Matt 0431 525 816

  12. Also if using a standard ecu, bridge the wires and see if it shows up any codes. I had a similar issue and turned out to be the AFM playing up. Pretty common for 32's and been that you've just done some work on it may have been hit or so during the work. All it takes is one dodgy wire lol
  13. Hey Kyle, Looks like its going well mate. Just wondering what your in the seat of the pants feeling was with the VCT? It appears to have given you an extra 40hp through the majority of the rpm range so would expect it to be a lot more alive. Do you feel it was well worth it? Also with the timing jiitters, Paul from Red R Racing, as well as a few other places, actually modifies the standard item to stop it. It works out alot cheaper from what I have seen and also looks more stock. Just a thought. When that issue is sorted to you expect to see much more mid range or is that about all Dan and Sean thinks it will get but with more top end? Any chance you have a graph with Rpm and possibly torque figures? As I feel that the torque would have been majorly improved by the VCT and the RPM helps make a more comparable result. Either way man looks good! Bet your happy to have it back and on the road. Matt
  14. Hey mate, Just wondering if your willing to sell the engine by itself? If so how much were you chasing? Any compression test results, power figures, etc? Cheers Matt
  15. Let us know how you go with it mate and what you find. May help someone else in the future with a similar issue. Cheers Matt
  16. I don't understand this??? AFM does have an effect but it only measures the amount of air passing over it. The amount of air passing over it effectively cools the wire causing the wire to have more resistance in which alters the voltage giving you a reading. The input voltage never changes. It is set to 5 volts from memory and is so that even if there is low power, spikes, etc it will still read effectively. Engine load on the other hand is measured by a number of factors. These include tps, road speed, boost/vac, inlet temps,O2 sensor readings, etc. In my opinion, by changing the turbo it has done nothing to the lower part of the map. This is because the AFM is still reading the amount of air coming in as nothing has changed that fact that it is still cooled by the amount of air coming in. Therefore if the turbo was changed and the air increased or decreased it should in theory measure that anyway and adjust to compensate. If it was adding too much fuel it would be picking up that it is doing so via the O2 sensor and still it would adjust to suit. I do however agree that the engine should be tuned for the new turbo asap as the amount of air the turbo would flow at higher rpm compared to the older turbo could effectively have the afm run out of room to measure therefore leaning the engine out causing detonation or depending on the safety setups in place on the power fc could richen the A/F mixture causing it to wash bores. If this is incorrect please explain to me as more info can never hurt Another thing to check is to make sure you haven't damaged the O2 sensor as well, as this is used under cruise and no load situations (idle) as a closed loop system and is also disregarded during warm up.
