  1. Is it just a case of you need someone to donate a car? Or can they access easily enough for themselves to supply you with? (just asking to maybe help the process along a little). Won't find anyone blocking such things here, no vested interest you see
  2. There are variants for RB twin application and single turbo application (for say a RB25 or SR20). Both carry a HKS 2530 name, however they have different specs etc.
  3. Alternatively just don't use IE - works for Firefox/Chrome no problem
  4. That IP range has no block. So I would most certainly say it is your end, especially if you can use the mobile versions from an alternate network.
  5. More complaining? And I mean, reporting posts with these types of comments Really mature stuff right there. Spam has been cleaned up
  6. You talk as if this "beat down" occurred in every thread that has ever existed. All for a little exaggeration to get the point across - Safe to say we get it (and everyone else reading this) - Point made and heard, loud 'n clear. So moving forward - Do you have anything constructive to add? Anything to contribute? Or are you just going to continue to be negative... Which is not really unlike those pesky "RB" owners you're talking about, but having a "VR" in the shed.
  7. Well, the seat needs to work. So that's fair enough.
  8. Realistically you could apply it to any owner or demographic. It has occurred countless times before with the R32 only cruises, R33 only photo shoots, GT-R only events and other things over the years... It's not something new and everyone gets over it and moves on, they don't focus on those few, just ignore and carry on.
  9. As above, far easier to put stock BOV on... And then be legal all the time.
  10. Thread cleaned. Given you've now acquired 4 warning points, because of your in abilty to stop pointless shit talking, a strong suggestion would be from here on in to think before posting. 5 points and you won't be back.
  11. It wasn't too late 2 odd years ago - but hey, lets give it a whirl. No point being negative about it, but you can be if you want. By continually replying, quoting to posts - you are really just as bad as the others and continuing the situation. End of the day, a public area is open to the public. Hence the offer of a Private area was put forward and while it wasn't taken up last time - seems round 2 might be a shot. Guess you can either be a part of it, or not.
  12. You can most certainly do without porting for that power figure. I made that power, as have many others before you - stock head and on PULP. If you plan on using E85 then it's a piece of piss. All comes down to how deep your pockets are mate, and what the overall budget is. You can certainly save money on that if you need to spend it elsewhere.
  13. Indeed. pretty much a football field of difference between the two..
  14. You are allowed one intake modification. IF: -you have a factory intercooler then you do not need to put a factory airbox on. -you do have an aftermarket intercooler, then he is right. If it's the first line then tell him he is one of the many uneducated RWC mechanics in this world and go elsewhere or simply pull up the EPA documentation about modifications and show it to him. And no, Vicroads don't check the car, most of the time they don't even know what they are looking at anyway. You just hand the RWC in over the counter (or post it in I believe, but safer to hand it in IMO).
  15. A fair few of us regulars from this year are all off to a wedding. Was looking forward to it as well until we realised the clash. I even debated coming down for a few hours beforehand for some fun haha It'll be a good day, people should get on it.
  16. In many ways it is marketing and promoting ones own products. Just by constantly saying "look at me" when things are done and posted by business owners. Sometimes it's genuine help, but at the end of the day it's still business promotion and more often than not there is a hopefully benefit to doing it - I mean it's business after all, I get it, I've got a few of my own. Of course there are ways to go about it to be less intrusive and we certainly can offer that to any business that wishes to sponsor SAU. Take Hypergear for example, Stao is a long term sponsor and regularly helps users on a technical level but can also have the flexibility of saying "we can also offer this to you for $XXXX" in a thread. That is a win-win for everyone... The community gets something and he then gets something back. Rather than in your face type flogging of products in every thread etc which is certainly too much at times for a lot of people... Sorta that marketplace type feeling, that isn't SAU anyway. Just a quick history lesson for you guys and I bet a LOT of R35 owners probably don't know about it. About 18 months ago (might have been 24) when there was talk of the splinter forum and issues/reasons behind it from within the R35 camp - there was actually an offer put forward from SAU to try and help out with it so everyone could remain together as one larger group where everyone benefits. The offer consisted of: - Private section for R35 guys, as a sub area of SAU. Similar to how the State Clubs are run. - Own moderators etc. - Some type of peer-verification process to ensure only R35 owners and/or approved users could see it all. - Still host galleries etc (which is expensive) - SAU obviously eats all the cost of it, people just have to live with banner ads, fair enough really. The sad part was, after that was put forward... It was simply ignored by the people it was put to. Not even a reply of "thank, but no thanks" was given back to us here @ SAU. We also approached a few businesses on a few occasions to be a part of it and so on, help sponsor it and we had offered some of these people a discounted rate. Given it would be a lower traffic area, we get it. Some took it on-board, some didn't etc and it didn't get off the ground anyway. Which is cool, that's just how it was. It didn't rely on sponsors coming on board either, in case that was a question. But yeah, I guess let it not be said that we haven't tried to fix it or anything. I also agree - the stuff Anfee has posted here in this very thread is pointless and has proven the point. If the section can be revived then as Admin, I would fully back giving him a warning over it as it's just pointless arguing for the sake of it. SAU was a key R35 information area for many years, it was thriving and to this day still has a bucket load of really solid technical information. A Facebook group is good, but at the end of the day trying to search for stuff and get some solid build threads/info threads going - you can only ever really do properly on a forum/board. I already know Ali/IOWNU has expressed interest in trying to make something happen, and I put the above to anyone that if you guys want to revisit it - happy to start a PM group discussion with like minded people that actually want to work into the SAU Community, rather than separate to it. Help build it up, create it, help run it! Hit me up if you are one of those said R35 guys
  17. Yeah the RWC guy is totally full of shit. Take it elsewhere and if you've paid him, tell him you want a refund based on the fact he is incompetent.
  18. Good night, picked up a few things I didn't know surrounding the whole process. Would go again.
  19. 100% agree. Absolutely no point putting cermaics back on, just asking for the same situation to happen again in 6 months time.
  20. The ironing from the first post was strong, very strong. Have had a few spam issues lately, but that's noting uncommon - It's happened 2-3 times in a major way before. Last time was approx 2 years ago. The SAU Facebook group gets hammered all the time as well, just part and parcel of the internets these days. Anyway not a lot of point to this thread really, I did get a laugh though
  21. Yeah was only 5-40... Wasn't worth buying for me either.
  22. And replace the hoses around the rear of the head too - those tend to split as well, and that is just as much of a nightmare
  23. Yeah don't need to be an accountant to be a treasurer. You do need to follow decent process though of keeping/tracking invoices, tracking the club finances and all associated (even better if you can input to something like MYOB but not essential). Just means the financial reports need to be prepared by someone other than the Treasurer. So Tony can do that or can just pay another accountant/firm to do it. Not a huge expense, SAU-Vic has been lucky for a long time having a accountant as a Treasurer - so it's been something people have done as part of the role.
  24. Closed/Edited. Pretty clearly a business advertisement with THAT many products being posed.
