+1 for boost leak, recently I blew a the last silicone pipe of my turbo exact same thing happened, everything died including steering, car cuts out, would start again bit just rev lower and die, check all your cooler/turbo pipes it might look fine so try jiggling them around thats how I spotted mine, nrma guy told me I had a blown turbo (made a loud noise when it happened so I believed him) so I got it towed it to be told all I needed was a screw driver to fix it

Mine has been coming on in my c34 every now and then, turn car off and on it goes away, only comes on during long drives, I was told I was showing an attessa fault code so does this mean is likely my pump will die? How much is a new one if anyone knows and more importantly what happens when it dies? Are u dead on the road booking a tow or u can disconnect that plug and put it rwd diagnostic mode or whatever it's called?

There's a good chance that was me ^ I go through that way to my cousins and occasionaly eastern creek, it's funny there seems to be a lot of yellow stags on the forums but I have yet to see another one in person

The same scenario happened to me and turned out to be the starter, trace your positive battery lead down on the left of the engine block, biggest cable of the positive side should go straight to it, once u find it try giving it a few knocks with something hard like a wrench this can loosen the jammed bushes and ur away, starter motor rebuild cost me about $350 hope that's helpful Also from experience I would go an ultra heavy duty battery better safe then sorry

If your head unit is the same as mine was u should have a bundle of colored speaker wires, a red power source, a black earth and a yellow antenna booster, Assuming u already checked nothing is disconnected but yeah that might help make sense of it haha, can u tell if there was an amp in the system that has been removed? Also some head units have additional fuses in the back of the unit are these the ones u checked our the cars?

So I called up today to make sure I was ready to go, receptionist puts me on hold a while, I'm then causally told they are still waiting for a sill panel and haven't even started yet, even though I rang about a week earlier and was told everything was on schedule u will be called if the situation changes, what a joke, the reasoning was supposedly that they couldn't source a new one and removing a second hand one is alot of work, I suppose that's fair enough I wouldn't want them to strain themselves

So on the 5th of July a mature lady driver decided to use my passenger door to slow her oddyssey down at a round about, 7000 bucks (not from my pocket) and 46 days later I'm finally about to get my car back So just wondering what anyone else in a similiar situations experience has been like, is that a typical wait time from the difficulty in getting parts for our cars? Can I expect my car to be the same when I get it back after such a hard hit? It's a series 2 c34 too btw

Hey man Im in a similiar situation too you, replaced my stock turbo as it was on the way out and the replacement now causes my stock AFM to max out so I need nistune and AFM too, I don't know where your located but I looked up a guy named toshi on the forums who can do a nistune for you for a fair bit cheaper then most places, pretty sure he's in Sydney maybe get in contact with him for your tuning? I plan too when I have the coin

R33s aren't inherently ugly they just reflect the rounded styling of the era, I'd take my stag over one any day though, mines never been mistook for a Volvo

My car came with the same wheel in a different colour scheme, great quality, awesome shape for cruising with the hand molds, recommended upgrade for sure

Get a s2 stagea, same engine as an r34 and I bet u can fit all your gear in the back, boot is massive, cheaper then an r34 too However fuel economy is an issue

Have a closer look at it and see if theres a brand or anything on it, I've found cables to nowhere under my passenger seat, behind my dash and also the cables and transformer for reverse sensors I don't have so there's a good chance whatever it was for has been stripped from your car, oh yeah I also have two on off switches that don't do anything haha Also not to thread hijack but semi related, my air con unit doesn't function completely, ie if it's on 18 degrees I get coldest air, if i move it one notch to 19 I get air hotter then the fires of hell, and I also have no lights on the bottom row of buttons, could this indicate I had xanavi once and someone has done a half arse job of switching it?

Yeah unscrew the centre console/armrest and lift it up I found mine under there laying sound wires, mine is also auto however but it makes sense yours would be there too

Mine does the same, haven't looked into fixing it I just flick the switch back when it's all the way out and clicking trying to keep going and it stops, mines the driver side only too

Yes I was going to say 02 sensor, when mine went the engine light would come on when idling at lights, as soon as u got going it would switch off again so yeah check your sensor

Depends how much cheaper it is to swap the autos the go manual, I agree on the benefits of driving auto in traffic and I find the tiptronic is pretty good most of the time, little unresponsive occasionally but atleast u can hold a gear as long as u like
