i beg to differ i can show you anytime my car wont start unless the clutch is in (thats why its called clutch start) if you push the button in by hand (very awkward but i tryed it lol) and turn the key hey presto the car starts !! -

i know we have different cars but my r34 has a switch on the clutch aswell , what it does is stop you from starting the car unless you have your foot on the clutch (clutch start) its good if you want to put a kill switch somewere in your car so no one knows how to start it -

i thort of that but i wasnt planning on spending much on the bumper as its just for flow and to fit the front mount easyer, thanks for you help

thankyou thats what i wanted to know (that someone has done it ) yeah i knew about the indicaters im going to get just jap clear ones , but i needed to conferm the reo thats all , thanks for that now i just have to find another bumper because the one i had avalible has been sold between finding it and finding out wether i can fit it lol . thanks for your help

" Stolen from down under:- The Series II’s also have a different turbo, Garret with metal compressor and steel turbine. Boost is set at about 90kpa and I believe the ECU is different as well. Instruments have silver faces that light up orange, oil press and boost read in kpa vice kg/cm. Center console is painted a bronze color and has the same radio options as the later GT-R. Shift boot is different and the shifter has about 10% shorter throws. A good upgrade for Series I GT-t’s is to put a Series II shifter in as it is almost identical to the NISMO one and costs less. Also the cover for the three gauges in the center has a better finish on it, more like the rest of the dash as does the center vent assy with the hazard button. The power mirror controls are different as well. And the glove box does not lock. " is the underlined bit true?? because i have an r34 gtt series 2 and iv been looking for a standard actuator to stop my boost going to 14psi get i do the turbo back exhaust (my car has a 12 psi actuator at the moment) but if this statement is true then i wont need to becuase my turbo will take it yeah ??

ignor that i can see your profile pic you stayed with the standard series 2 bumper , have you installed a FMC how does it go fitting in and getting flow ?

have you gone from series 2 bumper to series 1 ?? what did it cost in changeing the bits and this gap under the bumper hwo would u fix it ?

oh ok cool yeah iv seen a few arround but all auto's i dont know what year but they look the same other than the bumper well that makes it easyer i can just worrie about getting hold of a bumper and maybe the front reo bar (just to be safe ) thanks for your help

ok thanks for that ? here is a question whats the diff locks you talk about ?? because i was going to ask on the forums later my diff doesnt act like lsd diffs iv had in the past , still turns normal with out tyre skipping but if im heavey on the throttle it lights up the wheels (normal ) but if im accelerating on a straight and then back off the trottle and turn it sends the back out like you would epect from a mini spool or a solid diff (u use to run a solid diff in a holen for rally and the only way to turn at speed was to back off before the corner so you could get the rear unstuck them power on to take the corner) my mates 98 model does not ack like my one . or is it just r34 diffs react different ?> but thanks for your help as i said i dont know why he said it was rare as iv seen nothing backing it up on these forums

R34 Boost Line Through Firewall (wtf Where & How)

hi mate I'm running a mechanical gauge , what i did is used that plastic red spaghetti you use when you put screws into bricks , a 1 meter Length of that from bunnings works great . take the drivers side kick panel off and as said above feed the spaghetti stuff through the rubber seal that the bonnet release goes through , but for me with the R34 gtt it comes out under the bonnet on the drivers side just back from where your vacuum hose goes to the standard boost sensor. i hope this helps good luck -
wow what a thread my wife and i chuckled all the way through !!! but what id like to add is yes some people in this forum are helpfully but i do find that most are just on here so sift through the treads and try to find someone to belittle and intimidate, and this is sad as i joined this forum to connect with experienced skyline owners that could help me with my inquiries so i can do the same in the future when i also learn about these cars. but most questions i ask that could be simply answered in a couple of posts turns into two pages of criticism and me fighting back (total wast of my and your time). but on the other hand i do agree that Shannon's is doing the right thing by there paying clients by knocking people back that have lost there license as many time as you because driving a car like an R (which yes I'm jealous although i love my R id pay just to have a drive of an R) if you crash it due to speeding which u have stated you do , then Shannon's are looking at 10s of thousands of dollars to repair thus pushing up every one Else's premium. I'm sorry you got such a flaming but every one has there opinion i suppose but i wish we all treated each other with a bit more respect , i hope you enjoy your car dude and try not to kill someone the first time you take it out to show your mates how fast 180K gets you !!!

so the reenforcement bar doesnt need to be changed ?? if you read what i wrote " i keep getting told i have a very rare car but i dont know how true that is" but what they said when they saw it was that there wernt many 4door manual turbos made in 2001 and thats why there is no listing on any car insurence data base. but as i said i dont know how true that is it might be they just said that because they didnt want to admit there database wasnt up to date . but yeah thanks for the help the r33 post had me thinking because all i was going to do was change the bumpers and front reo bar but if it was going to be pannals and bonnet i would have had to re think

yeah i turns out there is i keep getting told i have a very rare car but i dont know how true that is but its a 2001 r34 gtt series 2 manual 4 door and yeah there is a difference in the front bumper if you have a look at my garage/photos youll see what i mean, thanks for your help though

hi i have tryed to do a search but can only find info in the r33 models , so if you want to post and say do a search maybe back that up by directing me to the page that comes up in the search as i cant find it !!!. no i have an r34 gtt series 2 and i dont like the front bar as its restrictive for the radiator and inter cooler and when i put a front mount on i wont get the full benifit . so i want to fit an r34 series 1 front bumper bar , iv read on another post (i searched for ) that on the r33 to do this you have to change the bonnet , headlights, front reo and front quarters , is this the same for the r34 ??? i do know ill have to change the indecaters but thats a given as there in diferent places and are totaly different lights, if some one has already done this i would love to know how you went about it thanks for your help
