  1. pitty its for an r33 otherwise i would have been very interested in that bumper
  2. yes its stock my mate has an r34 and guess what its the same !!!! maybe there different in the r33 (whitch you own NOT AN R34) go onto ebay and type in r34 stock gauges and see what they are or better yet ask someone else on here who actualy has an r34 and see what they say !!!!.
  3. ok well explain why on my old gauge all it had was -1, 0 , and +1 and in the middle of the gauge it says X100KPA have a look for your self .
  4. sucks there not for an r34 i would have been very interested in that bumper
  5. not sure as there were some mixed answers
  6. yeah they didnt for the r34 neo's but this guy has started to make them (i think hes a skyliner ) so probably whys hes put the time into designeing one and testing it on a dyno , but i know for sure even if theres a cheaper option i wont go for it , i think this is what i want and i will get it lol
  7. yeah sounds good its also on the list for me , i guess its just save save save .
  8. look id love to , i got the same sort of qote from a guy in dandy but my wifes pregnant so i have to wait till after babys born to do anything , sucks so bad . iv been looking for the sister board its a type 4 yeah ?. but cant find one . i was going to install one my self and then get a full tune (i have seen them in the past for $220 self install but didnt have the car yet at that stage)
  9. lol what that is is your front pipe and dump pipe all in one it goes from your turbo all the way to your cat. it splits the gasses from your waste gate and exhaust (because the standart one trys to push the two down the same pipe causeing turblence (less flow)) so it splits the gasses and re joins them just before the cat so the high flow from your exhaust is flowing and drags the wastegate gasess through with less drag, they are garenteed to give you more horse power expercialy since its 3" straight out of your turbo. better than the short split pipe they sell on ebay for $98 , they are not garenteed to give you more power (as fare as i know). get that and a high flow 3" cat from ebay $170 and your exhaust is done !!!!
  10. look under your bonnet and on the underside of your bonnet it will have a service guideline sticker (white) on the bottom it will have r34-rb25det-" " my one says - 01
  11. i tell you what ill look under the bonnet now and get back to you but a dead give away is the dash light when you turn them on they will be orange if its series 2 and white if its series 1 (unless hes put different colour leds in it lol.
  12. that would be because most of are here to learn from people such as your self that have been there and experienced that !!. and we apreciate all the help we can get as that is what forums are for . i will make sure when i change the acutator hose i make sure its the hose made for that job tanks for that advice
  13. by the way link to that is http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-SKYLINE-R34-...=item4cee1b056f i managed to get him down to $400 delivered to melbourne but then the wife said no
  14. hi my first step was to boost it to 10psi but as you know from my other thread i have the same issue as you and its already boosting to 11psi , so my next step (when the wife lets me) it to insall this and then a high flow cat . after that i might consider getting rid of my series 2 bumper and get one that i can fit a front mount intercooler in , then then then ........ i sapose the wheels will fall off before i get to do what i want to it i wish i had deep pockets , i want a power fc (ecu) but no way will the missus let me spend $1700 lol
  15. ok gees i read your post so wrong the first time and realy ripped through you , my bad i have to read the full post first sorry . i deleted it once i realized um from what i can tell is the series 2 has a shitty bumber that covers most the places you would like all your air to go , and it has a two tone dash and console . your dash lights are orange at night . i think they have solid lifter in the motor so i thort maybe its a series 2 thing to have 11 psi ?
  16. ok yes my mates car is not a neo but its the only one to go by. as for the hose before i do try getting a new one is it the one that goes from the T piece under the airbox snorkel and down to the round metal thing just ubove the turbo ? if so what should i ask for when i go to replace it ? can it be purchased from autobarn? would the exhaust manifold gasket leave some evidence if its leaking? iv looked and theres no oil or moister (u use to race a gemini in rally and thats how i could tell if there was a manafold leak if it wasnt obvious (but there was alot of dust to stick to and oil leaks) the r34 is spotless in the engin bay . as i said earlyer im ner to turbos well anything fuel injected for that matter.
  17. is your by anychance a series 2 ? my gtt sedan is !!
  18. from what i have read on other posts its only ment to be 5psi then 7psi ??? unless thats for the r33? so im comfused as well because alot of people will tell you at 12psi your pushing your turbo to its limits and it may fail. you maybe like me and posibly something has been done to it in japan by a previous owner.
  19. ok so should i replace the line ? how can i tell it it has a leak ? would it be louder at spool up ?
  20. here is another attempt . sorry i cant get the camera on any other angle
  21. hi i had a look at the exhaust and i have 3" from the cat back and the cat and back pipe looks like its 2-2.5" ?? this is the best photo i could get with the bulky camera i have . thanks again for your help people , sorry to start a debate about the standard psi im new to turbos and was told they run about 5psi standard! sorry my bad i was miss informed.
  22. hi guys i installed a mechanical boost gauge yesterday so i could install a boost controller, i was hoping that i could run a duel setup so i can run the standard boost then with the flick of a switch i could run 10psi, but after installing the gauge i took the car for a run and noticed its boosting at a constant 11psi !!!! not the standard 5psi. so i opened the bonnet and looked every were to see if i could find a manual boost controller but there is none, my question is how could my car be running more boost without a boost controller, could it be modify ed or is there something possibly wrong ? when i purchased the car they said it was stock but the turbo may have been a factory upgrade because the spool up sound is different to any they have had in ?
  23. yeah these were all 52mm gauges (funny that the 52mm gauges from overseas are slightly smaller than the one i got from auto barn) i was thinking of useing the brackets they supplyed and making a backing out of aluminium (the same as you did the ply) but i dont have the right tools laying arround. it was suprising how stron the black silicone is when it sets but with a small cut (when i had to change the center gauge) it was easy to remove and the left over silicone just peeled off . so to go back to standard wouldnt be that hard at all. not as easy as changing over brackets but not too hard. its nice to see others have done this !! i looked every were to see if i could even be done but in the end i just figured ill go for it and if it works it works , and im very happy it looks wicked at night, i have night shift again tonight so ill take a photo and post it tomorrow.
