i dont recomend it as its probably boosting at actuator perssure and will cause further turbo problems (better to fix a blown seal than seezied turbo ) its a pitty i know as you have finaly gotten your self a turbo and after two weeks told its not a good idea to drive it ! but best be on the safe side

yeah always do a check on a car your gonna buy wether you pay someone or bring along a friend that knows what to look for . as for power road i got my car there as i said and a mate got his gtt coupe from there as well , the oly problems with my car was the diff is tyred (didnt bother me) and brads (my mate) the only thing that we have had a problem with is his boot gauge drops out , other wise motor turbo gearbox diff is all perfect never skiped a beat . oh and the tyres they put on both of them for roadworth were new but crap brads tyres cracked arround the tyre wall in the forst two months other than that all good .

my boost is set to 11.5 (by trent at status ) and his car is boosting way harder than my car !, as i said above his intake pipe is caked with thick glugy oil so i think the vac lines are blocked restricting air to the actuator so its over boosting , as for the power cut ic could be spark plugs are loged with oil but i still think coil packs will be the problem i think he best step is to go to a tuner or a good mechanic (not the one he has been taking it to ! didnt spot a buggered turbo!!!) and go from there

you have to have compliance plate to get reg , so yes is possible i dont kow why they wouldnt reg it though ??

i got my sedan from there and im happy with it , my one is a manual series 2 i payed 18k and dont regret it. the price sounds fine to me , shane is good to deal with he will let you take it for a drive and will let u get it checked anywere you want . he looks and talks like a dodgy car sales person but in all honestly he is a genuine bloke and is happy to help . have fun trying to get the price down though lol, hes good when it comes to getting thigs added like rims or alarm or different exhaust but the price is the price and you have to battle to get the price down, go have a look in person he wont push you to buy

Hey galios yeah the high boost on my car was from having a different actuator ! All sorted now thanks for the help on that .

can anyone advise him ov the name and number of a turbo specialist in the cheltnham area ?? i think he needs to get the seals in the turbo fixed first then clean out the boost/vacume lines and soliniod, them fix the coils and do sparks at the same time and it should fix his problems

just a thort mate ur turbo might not be stuffed because of the high boost ! the high boost is becacause of the oil leak in the turbo . check your boost solinoid and all those boost lines leading to ot i recon there full of oil , so you car is over boosting , once you fix your car will be slower but at least it wont blow your motor . also get your coils fixed

hi guys i had a look at his car today (im not a mechanic but any bit of help is good) firstly this thing boost's way too hard for a stock setup but i couldnt find and obvious leaks and the actuator is normal (couldnt see if shaft had been shortend though )and there is no boost adjuster fitted , but he has a tone of oil in the inlet pipe from the afm to the turbo so i think the high boost has caused a seal to go on the turbo . but in my opinion its def a coil pack failure it feels like TSC cut but it does it under boost with the TCS off . i sugested he go get a power run on a dyno with trent because from what i understand the dyno will pick up a coil fail! is this right ?? also we tested my AMF on his car with no change to symptons so its not the AFM , car idles fine just cuts out when you push the revs iv never felt detination from having boost too high but this could be another cause but i wouldnt know what to look for i still think its coils . so if anyone can give him a better idea from whats going on with the decription i can give ?

might be a stupid question mate but is this happening in the wet or do you have balled tyres ?? did you know these have a traction controll that cuts all power to the coils when your wheels slip ?? underneath your steering wheel on your left there is a switch press that then go for a drive !!, i thort the same with my car it was just the tc cutting in (annoying realy )

i understand that you guys get post about how "how do i get 300rwkw " but thats not what this is its more about were i want to be and what are the best parts / specs i should look for to get everything to marry up nicely the end result is not important power wise its the stability of the motor and the melt my face acceleration I'm looking for lol. OK were I'm at now is i own an r34 gtt sedan with 188rwkw at the moment with 134000kms on the clock . current mods are 3' turbo back exhaust high flow 3' cat blitz FMIC turbo tech boost controller nistune (done by Trent at status) I'm now saving for coil over suspension and white line front sway bar (all good and well making the car more powerfully but i want to be able to steer the thing lol.) breaks will be at the same time as next engine mods. what i want plan on doing in the next step (when i get to 200000kms ) is new bearings , seals, gaskets and timing belt . then the mods this is the bit i reckon could get interesting because there are so many variables and i just want it to make it all work together rather than have a hectic build that is underivable. first the normal z32 afm high flow fuel pump (what type it the most reliable ?) injectors (how do i know what size to go for is there a rule of thumb ?) spitfire coil packs (i sapost the brand doesn't matter iv heard good thing about the yellow jackets) now the more technical stuff !! cam gears (are there different specs or are they all the same just the brand is different) cams (i dont want full race ones just enough to give more torque early in rev range! is this something i do last once i know the specs of everything else in the motor and they build to match ?) turbo (I'm thinking of getting a high flow as I'm not trying for massive power just a good power curve I'm trying to keep the car looking stock sort of a sleeper) clutch ( i reckon ill go for a Jim berry full Monty ! may as well get one that capable of what I'm aiming for breaks (ill stay with standard calipers but will upgrade the rotors to slotted and drilled ) and obviously a tune its gonna cost a packet but i have a 5ltr keg I'm slowly filling with $2 coins so hopefully that will pay for most of it lol have i missed anything ? is this about the standard ? thanks for your time i hope this doesn't turn into a flame up thread but should be a good read for all us noobs with hopefully some helpfully reply's

Stay away from cranbourne !! Cops are doing a major blitz just saw a silver r34 with race stripes and kit getting a full inspection. Also saw 4 more skylines heading towards cranbourne via thompsons road. Avoids cams / centrism parkway there doing full checks ! Good luck

do it properly and get some coil overs and adjustable camber arms (as the lower you go the more your camber will be out causeing tyre wear) theres bc racing ones going fo about $1200 im saveing for some my self -
im interested in thos to , i think you can get bride seat rails that are lower but i cant find anywere if they fit the standard seat

im not sure about the rear as my 4 door only has a boot lip but you can pic up a series 1 bumper for anthing around $150 to $200 2nd hand then you will need the front reo and headlight brackets , just make shure you get the car you choose checked by someone that knows skylines !!, then enjoy it lol
